Go to Accessibility and then to Audio/visual. You're looking for the L and R balance slider. L is the bottom speakers (by the charging port) and R is your ear speaker. Just found this out today trying to fix my crackling speakers. Speaker. Just the top one. 🎉
Pre-fabricated eplacement speaker mesh is sold by most part suppliers for iPhone. Typically, they're sold 10/pack, around $1 for the pack if they're needed. To be fair though? Most folks aren't aware thar the speaker mesh even exists. And a solution that doesn't require opening the phone, removing the entire ear flex being careful not to accidentally harm any of the small parts on it, replacing the water/dust seal, etc is preferable when a simple clean is all that's needed to restore function. Really rare to have a mesh failure be the reason for having sound issues. Typically, it's just clogged. 😅

TIP: Turn on MONO AUDIO before start cleaning, so equal sound will come in both speakers, otherwise you will struggle if Mono speaker is off.
