Yea this is one reason I love Samsung. They introduce a design or feature with flaws, and people give their feedback and ideas. Then the next phone it keeps all the good about the phone and improves on all the flaws.
Would be so ironic if they actually deliberately do that especially with the S8's fingerprnt scanner location because the retail box had a vertical cutout for it despite not having it vertically.

Top-notch review! My biggest frustration with the regular S9 is only one camera sensor but you made a great point by mentioning that the phone uses digital zoom (and just the main sensor) in poor lighting anyway. However, there are no excuses for putting just 4GB of RAM in the regular S9. Samsung phones need RAM, especially after a few months of using them.
My S8+ is still buttery smooth after almost a year. My wife's S6 is still not slowing down. It's not 2013 anymore and Samsung has worked tirelessly to optimize their overlay on top of Android.
I feels like Samsung operates on a two phones per design. With the first bringing a new design but with flaws and then they release the same design but with the flaws fixed. For example the s6 was a new design and the s7 fixed some of the flaws. And the s8 introduced a new design which hade some flaws. And the so fixes a lot of them.

It isn't a EU law, all android phones with android 5.0+ have it. Some times it helps as most of the people like to hear music on full volume even though they don't need to, and in long term it can damage your hearing capabilities. So it's good for people who don't know. Also it doesn't pop up every time.
What I love about your reviews? they're short and straight to point, no useless information and you're HONEST. Not because is from certain brand you say good things.
I find it funny that all You tubers brag about the Google Pixel so much for being the best Android phone out there But I have haven’t seen one single person in real life with a Google Pixel XL. All I see people in real life using it’s iPhone X, Samsung S8 or Note 8 and few others. I probably saw 2 Google Pixel phones since the first one came out.. so I guess the Pixel phones are only made for You-Tubers !
My note 4 finally kicked the bucket after a power surge, so now I'll be saving up for this thanks to your brilliant review! You honestly deserve way more subscribers, I wish everyone who was into tech videos could see your content!
Thanks for always being so honest, it's never "look at how amazing this phone is buy it now". You always analyse everything on it's own and against competition, giving real analysis and honest reviews. You're the only reviewer I've seen that completely dismisses hype and doesn't care about how much you might upset an audience with an opinion
Mr mobile can you please pay more attention to wireless support. For example this phone supports band 71 which the older s8 does not. This is pretty important for people to know who have T-Mobile since they would miss out on future coverage enhancements. Plus 5G is coming soon and I feel people would want a phone with all the bells and whistles to use that kind of speed. Just something I thought might be worth looking into but keep up the awesome reviews.
I have watched hundreds of review videos by RUclipsrs but none could match the scripting style (Voice-over Script) that you have used in this video. The script is crisp and easy to follow. Thanks!
Former Galaxy S9 user here! You were right about the battery not lasting long term. I bought mine in July 2018 and before I upgraded in May of this year the battery wouldn't last a single day anymore. I constantly had to turn on power saving mode just to make it through.
Another fantastic video. I have the Note 8 so for now I'll stick with that. Side note, your videos are among the best and highest quality I have seen on RUclips. Love it! Keep up the great work MrMobile!
I'm keeping my s8+, what pisses me off though, is that it still hasn't been updated to android O, & they're already talking about android P!!!!!! 😒😒😠😠🖕🏻🖕🏻
Alana Weaver, I agree. There are many reasons I stick to iOS and the regular updates no matter which iphone & carrier is a big reason I stay. If all androids had a better default messaging service like imessage and regular updates, I would be much more willing to switch back to android again.
True but one thing about the S9 is that for the first time in history Samsung phones natively support project treble. which is a Google feature that divides up the way Android is structured to significantly reduce the effort required to upgrade to a new Android version on heavily skinned Android operating systems like Samsung's. Only time will tell but hopefully this means quicker updates on the S9 due to the less development overhead required
Well, I have android O on my S8, with the latest security patch, so maybe it's got something to do with your region or carrier. Edit: I just saw that your carrier is T-mobile, so there's your issue.
I feel Google and essential are the only ones producing unique ideas. Ph-2 need to have no problems, but the ph-1 has vastly improved. Pixel needs to just kill it with hardware this year to come back to the mainstream market, not just the enthusiast.
Woah! I'm following reviews of Mr. Fisher for years and he doesn't stop to amaze me! I watched this review and I don't even like Samsung products. That says something about Mr. Fisher's work. This guy deserves more views!
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] holy damn you actually replied. I've been waiting for this since you made me buy my Note 2 with the review on Pocketnow. Still a Note user since then. Much respect from Romania sir, keep the good content coming!
Thanks for this, it was REALLY useful!! I have a S5, and wasn't sure if I should save money and get the S8, or get the S9. To me, it basically seemed like the difference between a Nintendo 3DS and a New Nintendo 3DS, so I thought an S9 made sense. You've confirmed this. Especially with your comments on the 1 vs 2 camera(s), which never occurred to me. Definitely getting the S9 and not the S9+. PS: This is the first video of yours I've seen, but your approach to tech is fantastic. Subscribed. Notification Bell on. PPS: the lock screen at 0:100:310:56 etc, is that a setting? Or something you have to download to set up? Either way, please let me know! I definitely want to use that when my S9 arrives!
The opening minute of this video is an excellent one. Making a very provocative yet accurate statement. All before getting into the things that make a review. Well done.
While I love how beautiful phones look on these reviews, I would personally like to see more realistic shots of the phone. Look at how much glare the curved screen gets when the camera isn't showing a super sharp angle, or how scratched the phone is after a week (kudos to Michael for showing us that). After all, we're consumers, and for perfect case scenario looks we have the manufacturer's site and ads.
7:39 People always seem to forget that regular S9 has a smaller screen, the screen is what drains bettery the most, so although that you have a smaller capacity I bet you'll get about same BETTERY LIFE.
Top notch review, Precisely... But, it is 2018 & someone out there still thinking about Android tablet. Why not you reviewed the budget friendly tablets in a single video? Because, you are the smartest reviewer I have ever subscribed.
I'm in an S5 now considered getting a S9 after seeing all the reviews it's really not that different from an S8 and I don't do the big finger print thing so that wouldn't even be a big deal..
The Exynos can do 10 bit HVEC (H.265) while the Snapdragon does 10 bit HDR (H.264), that's the reason it wasn't enabled on both phones. It wouldn't be the same, as the H.264 owners would complain cause they would get the short end of the stick. Same reason the 9810 was tuned down (confirmed by Sammy) to try and match the SD performance. Sucks really as the 9810 is so much better this year versus the 845.
Very nice and informative review. I was very close to buying the S9, but the thing that made me change my mind is the insane amount of reflections that is caused by the curved edges on the display, like on 1:50 and 2:05. If they had a model with a flat display I would probably buy it.
From Pocket Now to Mr. Mobile... I've seen your every video... you are just awesome.. I own galaxy note 8 just because of your reviews... You are the best.. Much love from India
Excellent review, I always gives a thumbs up even before I watch it! I just switch carrier & upgraded my Samsung S8 to S9 for two months already. I gotta say the camera is amazingly sharp even in low light! I feel my S9 runs smoother than the S8 in my overall experience. I am loving it!
Just watched mrwhosetheboss's battery comparison of s9+ with others in which it lasted more than oneplus 5t. And in this video Michael is telling that battery is not great. I'm confused 🤔🤔🤔
Hardik Jadeja not great. It's fine. OnePlus's battery is fine too. And also depends how you use the phone. The screen quality, the audio quality, screen brightness, always on display and animation all can be changed for better results.
I now have the best of both Galaxy S9 & Pixel. Biggest worry I had was user experience coming from a pixel. Took a while but was able to get the S9 to look and feel so close to my pixel. Download Material Theme from Samsung themes and then get Action Launcher from Play store. You can even have the weather widget from pixel via "Another Widget" from play store. Uninstaller/disable all the Samsung apps but keep the really useful ones like Samsung Pay. Don't forget to side load the Google Now Extension for Action Launcher which brings back to good old useful days of Google assistant (way better than the current Pixel Launcher assistant since you will have all your reminders and personal stuff front and center instead of the news) . Now you have the best of both worlds.
I have a query. If f1.5 is possible, why even have f2.8? Sharpness? f1.5 is an achievement, no doubt, but the "variable" part seems nothing more than a gimmick.
You asked a question and presented a false answer; was it a rhetorical question? Larger aperture in settings where there are lots of light could result in ruined photos. Variable aperture allows the use of both high/low aperture lenses that can be utilized accordingly to take ideal shots in both high/low-light environments. Please don't bother commenting your subjective speculations if you're not sure about what you're talking about lmao
Hint In case you're not aware, there's correlation between aperture and sharpness. Wide open lenses tend to produce comparatively softer images. Though your explanation is logical, I'm not convinced in this particular case. Phone cameras are heavily software reliant, anyway. If cameras with f1.7 and f1.6 don't need smaller apertures to click great pictures, I don't see why an f1.5 sudden requires f2.4 as a companion.
Of course software has huge contributions but it has its limits. Why not extend those limits if hardware allows it with advancing technology? I don't see any downsides to it. Even though it might not lead to dramatic improvements, it will definitely have its advantages.
No audio test on speakers or any DAC on this or review of the AKG earphones? Waiting for your review inside your audio room. And S9 + vs Razer phone speaker comparison. Awesome review as always 👍😎👌

What I love about your reviews? they're short and straight to point, no useless information and you're HONEST. Not because is from certain brand you say good things.
I find it funny that all You tubers brag about the Google Pixel so much for being the best Android phone out there
But I have haven’t seen one single person in real life with a Google Pixel XL. All I see people in real life using it’s iPhone X, Samsung S8 or Note 8 and few others. I probably saw 2 Google Pixel phones since the first one came out.. so I guess the Pixel phones are only made for You-Tubers !
It really depends where you live, the pixel lineup has a very limited worldwide availability, unlike brands such as Apple or Samsung.
Bruno Souza very well saiď
My note 4 finally kicked the bucket after a power surge, so now I'll be saving up for this thanks to your brilliant review! You honestly deserve way more subscribers, I wish everyone who was into tech videos could see your content!
I just bought a new Galaxy S7 for $250, and to me it's excellent. I'm not dropping a thousand dollars on a phone
Great phone. Look into putting a custom rom onto it so you can get the s8 firmware
Justin H same
Thanks for always being so honest, it's never "look at how amazing this phone is buy it now". You always analyse everything on it's own and against competition, giving real analysis and honest reviews. You're the only reviewer I've seen that completely dismisses hype and doesn't care about how much you might upset an audience with an opinion
The verge and mr mobile dropping new s9 videos at the exact same time? Goes to mr mobile... 🤫
Same xD
Mr mobile can you please pay more attention to wireless support. For example this phone supports band 71 which the older s8 does not.
This is pretty important for people to know who have T-Mobile since they would miss out on future coverage enhancements. Plus 5G is coming soon and I feel people would want a phone with all the bells and whistles to use that kind of speed.
Just something I thought might be worth looking into but keep up the awesome reviews.
Yeah , i'll stop there. and ask YOU to be real for a sec. Do keyboards , lasers and rumbles are really why you buy phones? really? .....
Reallly?
IKR
I personally want a phone that turns into a Lightsaber

i just found your channel. and you are by far the most realistic and down to earth reviewer i have seen.

Hotel? Trivago
I have watched hundreds of review videos by RUclipsrs but none could match the scripting style (Voice-over Script) that you have used in this video. The script is crisp and easy to follow.
Thanks!
The Verge called the camera aperture changing a gimmick! Had mine for 2 days now and its incredible.
pyrosdestiny you have to pre order before you can own one, so make sure you order on the 13th 👍
Carl Martin I'm from the UK asswipe Google release dates.
pyrosdestiny I am from Wales🙈
Mr mobile reviews are so entertaining to watch!!! subscribed!! Among other popular tech reviewer !!!!!!
Great review as always! Still using my HTC 10 but maybe I'll grab the U12 when it comes out.
Former Galaxy S9 user here! You were right about the battery not lasting long term. I bought mine in July 2018 and before I upgraded in May of this year the battery wouldn't last a single day anymore. I constantly had to turn on power saving mode just to make it through.
*Just download the Pixel2's camera port apk on the S9+ and you've got the Ultimate Smartphone Camera!*
JOSE M. GARIBAY lol
Jouz Idk, I have t-mo, they've been lagging on the update.
Obligatory *watching this from an S9* comment
Landowar NEEERRRDDD

Another obligatory comment saying apple better than Samsung and trying to act smart;-)
Reading this comment from an S9.
Your reviews are easily the best on RUclips. Keep up the good work. We all appreciate it!
Still on my s7 edge

Woah! I'm following reviews of Mr. Fisher for years and he doesn't stop to amaze me! I watched this review and I don't even like Samsung products. That says something about Mr. Fisher's work. This guy deserves more views!
*Mr. Mobile new video *
Oh boy oh boy oh boy
*grabs coffee *
Perfect material as always sir!
Thanks! And coffee sounds great; about to get some of my own!
PPS: the lock screen at 0:10 0:31 0:56 etc, is that a setting? Or something you have to download to set up? Either way, please let me know! I definitely want to use that when my S9 arrives!
About the camera. The issue with colors, isn't that something that can be fixed at a later date with a software update?
The opening minute of this video is an excellent one. Making a very provocative yet accurate statement. All before getting into the things that make a review. Well done.
While I love how beautiful phones look on these reviews, I would personally like to see more realistic shots of the phone.
Look at how much glare the curved screen gets when the camera isn't showing a super sharp angle, or how scratched the phone is after a week (kudos to Michael for showing us that).
After all, we're consumers, and for perfect case scenario looks we have the manufacturer's site and ads.
Juan Fernández it isn't generally as scratched as he showed. It has the same glass on back as on the screen. So you can assume the quality
7:39 People always seem to forget that regular S9 has a smaller screen, the screen is what drains bettery the most, so although that you have a smaller capacity I bet you'll get about same BETTERY LIFE.
I won't miss a Mr.Mobile review
Top notch review, Precisely... But, it is 2018 & someone out there still thinking about Android tablet. Why not you reviewed the budget friendly tablets in a single video? Because, you are the smartest reviewer I have ever subscribed.
S8 I will keep.
I would change to S9 just cuz of the fingerprint placement
Steve Thea I don't think it's a good value Cuz s8 price now is about 460euro
Krzysztof Czermiński maybe waiting for S10 to come out then but S9 😂
I don't have problem with the s8 fingerprint
That honesty u put in yur reviews and that small details and the way you deliver them is excellent
U seem like The Iron man among tech reviewers
Very nice and informative review. I was very close to buying the S9, but the thing that made me change my mind is the insane amount of reflections that is caused by the curved edges on the display, like on 1:50 and 2:05. If they had a model with a flat display I would probably buy it.
Great, i got a s9 commercial before this video started😂
From Pocket Now to Mr. Mobile... I've seen your every video... you are just awesome.. I own galaxy note 8 just because of your reviews... You are the best.. Much love from India
Wow, you're quick!!
That's what she said?
He's probably had the phone for weeks

Super quality, Phenomenal Review, You sound like one of the Animal planet narrator, Loved the high quality review and video
I hope Samsung next smartphone will feature Hi-fi Quad DAC. it will be the closest thing to a perfect smartphone
Dionisius Kusuma maybe in the note
Yes. I loved it in the v30 and would love it here
Dionisius Kusuma A big battery for the nonplus version as well.
Wired headphones are gonna be completely outdated next year, LOL.
Dionisius Kusuma yeah
I really enjoy your script-writing skills, Michael. How do you write for your vids? Before or after you shoot?
Why aren't Your Subscribers increasing , u are doing a very very good i mean best job... I love mr. mobile aka Michael Fisher
You are definitely the best on you tube without a doubt. Hats off to another top notch quality, unbiased and detailed review.
Correct review, as an S8 owner I agree with you on most parts. Love your work!
Mr. Fisher you're the best reviewer out there !! I always look for your video as the gold standard !! 😁
Always nice to watch your reviews! Keeping my s8.
Best tech reviewer on RUclips.Keep up the good work,Michael!
Samsung always has a safe upgrade (S1,3,5,7,9)
and a jump upgrade (S2,4,6,8,) 10?
I dont know about you, but i want the perfected version of the 'jump' design rather than the experimental 'jump designs.
S3 imo was a big step up, S4 looks like a perfected S3
Odd number is just a better refined version of the even number!
The most impressive thing about this phone is the fix for the fingrprint sensor placement.Definetely worth $930(before taxes) !
Can I just say I'm addicted to this damn channel. Brilliant stuff.
I love my galaxy s8 so much better than any iPhone out there
Excellent technical review, not hollow like the other ones you hear, and you don't say stuff without showing real examples and facts
Who raised the volume at 5:55 to listen to the background music?
That's me
What's the name of it please? Cuz I did the same
A really good review. Loved it. And yes Tech21 is the place to go for good covers. 👍
Are going to review Sony Xperia XZ2? 😅
Always went right to u for reviews. Keep up your fantastic work
Nice Review! =D
the moment I came to know that s9 was out, I knew the only review I am ever gonna see was yours!! Sir your reviews leave others in the dust. Respect!!
Can you do nokia 7 plus
Love your videos been watching u long time man good to hear u again
The most fun, to the point and intuitive review! Loved it
Here come the “IPhone X sucks, Samsung ftw!” Comments
MarvisTv spot me which phone win pixel? Even iphone x shitty not win samsung on camera capture.
Why are you even here pastor? time to crash again huh?
No audio test on speakers or any DAC on this or review of the AKG earphones? Waiting for your review inside your audio room. And S9 + vs Razer phone speaker comparison. Awesome review as always 👍😎👌
Want those wallpapers!
Eric Rose That's what I wanna ask too!
The wallpaper is in the Samsung theme store and its called Code Art Blur
that slo-mo clip at 0:28 looks like something out of the injustice 2 character selection menu
My prediction came true having a Dolby Atmos on the s9 😂 that is amazing......
great review! better than the previous s9 reviews I watched
Wallpaper?
I currently have the Galaxy S7 Edge, my new Galaxy S9 plus comes in 5 days. Thanks for saying it's a good upgrade for me. I'm less nervous now.
