I just finished my pillow following this tutorial and it turned out amazing! I am just starting out with crocheting and it was super easy to follow and I'm honestly impressed with myself that I was able to make something so cool!
That’s a beautiful pattern. I’m going to try to make it for a 16 in pillow form since I have them ready, instead of buying the 18 or 20 in pillow form. Thanks for the tutorial.
When makin the back do you use the same amount of stitches? I finished my top and not only me but several people have commented on it about how beautiful it is So thanks so much for such a beautiful pattern 💖
Hi Tamara, I love you videos as I am a knitter who is just learning to crochet this summer. I am starting this pattern and would like to know if you have any tips for me as a beginner?
Hi Kimberly! There's more info in the written pattern at www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-diamond-pillow/ but basically, you'd want to choose an aran or bulky weight yarn, or you could hold smaller yarns together. Fiber content is up to you, whatever you'd like a pillow made of!
i doubled up on thinner yarn and it works nicely. i dont have the pricey yarns, i just go with the colors i like most at the least cost. and the results are good on most
How is it possible to have the same number of stitches after working row that starts 1 SC then FPTC? With only 1 SC to start and end that row, it changes the multiple to x4 plus 2. Am I crazy?
@@mooglyblog When you are repeating row 2, it starts 1 SC the FPTC. It ends that way too. For some reason it seems to work out, though the math doesn’t make sense to me.
Yes, but it will mean you need to change the hook size, and you'll end up with a smaller square, so I suggest you crochet the cover before you decide what size of pillow form to purchase. :)
55 sts makes a 16" pillow, but I'd recommend using a 16" pillow form to make a 12 or 14" pillow. So for those sizes, you'd start with 43 or 47 sts respectively.

I'm impressed too, that's a tough stitch pattern for beginners! You have a real talent! ♥
This is a beautiful pattern and I will be adding it to my ever increasing list of things to do.

So beautiful and yet not complicated.

Fantastico!

Can u tell me how many chains i can make for this pattern for the cardigan size xxl, starting fon top to bottom, plz reply 🙏
I'm afraid I don't know how to answer this question. This video is for a pillow, not a cardigan.
I also would love to know where you got your crochet hook from
Thank you, it's from Furls! It's also linked in the pattern: www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-diamond-pillow/
Thanks its si nice
What size crochet hook did you use?
a 6 mm hook

Thank you! Yes, it does - here are the details: www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-diamond-pillow/
Hi!! If I want to make it 14 inches, how should I adjust the pattern?
To make a 14" square, you'd start with 43 sts and then work about 35 rows, or until it's square! :)
Hi Tamara, I love you videos as I am a knitter who is just learning to crochet this summer. I am starting this pattern and would like to know if you have any tips for me as a beginner?
I am using a 22' pillow form. How many stitches would I need?
With a 22" pillow form, you'd want to make a 20" pillow. So you would want to start with 71 sts.
@@mooglyblog Thank you! I'm excited to start working!
How many stitches would you need to make a 24x24 pillow?
I’m new to crochet and I can’t get this yarn in the uk, it seems very expensive. How do I know what a suitable alternative would be?

Any tips for accidental decreases?
I had less and less diamonds each row.
No he podido poner subtítulos en español si hablo un poco inglés pero es muy rapido
A little confused - the video says repeat rows 2 thru 5, but the written pattern says repeat rows 4 thru 7. Which would you recommend?
There's always an opportunity for me to misspeak, following the written pattern is the way to go!
@@mooglyblog Happens to me all the time, lol! Thanks for the response - much appreciated 😀

I think you're forgetting the 3 sc before the repeat begins. :)
@@mooglyblog When you are repeating row 2, it starts 1 SC the FPTC. It ends that way too. For some reason it seems to work out, though the math doesn’t make sense to me.
@@i.Duchess Row 2 is all dc stitches so I'm afraid I'm still confused, but as long as it works it's all good! :)
@@mooglyblog I referenced the wrong row. My apologies. It’s actually row 5 timestamp 13:20.
@@i.Duchess Ah, that's the one I initially assumed, so I think it's the 3 sc before the repeat that you might be overlooking. :)
It’s unfortunate you chose a darker yarn, it’s difficult to see your stitches for me. Imagine younger people don’t have that issue.
Can only one strand be used
Yes, but it will mean you need to change the hook size, and you'll end up with a smaller square, so I suggest you crochet the cover before you decide what size of pillow form to purchase. :)
Ok I’m trying to make a cover for a 15 inch pillow
Your pillow is stunning btw!
