🤔, I wonder what the Canon's noise looks like as you slowly step it up from no lights. I am curious to see if showing black at that iso is masking the grain/noise.
in the extreme low light, the sony is doing better due to noise reduction, next the nikon. maybe if the canon shadows is raised in post it would be good, because canon likes crashing shadows or a different picture profile. but overall all are disappointing in low light. anyone who cares this much, should probably go full frame, and that's my decision to skip apsc completely. cool video.
It actually depends more on how wide the aperture is on the lens. A f1.4 in apsc will be better than say f2.8+ in full frame. If people have less than $1500 total budget, then an apsc+ f1.4 is the way to go, and a full frame+ cheap lens will have a hard time beating that in low light. But if people got the budget, then of course the full frame has the higher ceiling, although they could easily spend $3000+ for about just 1 stop of more light.
@@kean4582 im not suggesting no one buys an apsc, im suggesting anyone who cares extremely much about low light like going into high iso, you should save extra and get the full frame with moderate lens. for daytime, really full frame is irrelevant in my opinion.

My string lights produce light banding on my zv-e10 at every shutter speed except 1/40. 1/30, 1/50, 1/60 all produce banding. How do you find string lights that don't flicker? It's a very hard thing to search for.
that is a hard thing to search for because people who make string lights do not care about our cameras. if I were you I’d shoot at 1/40 - it won’t be very noticeable compared to 1/50.
Would love to see zv-e10 vs r10 vs r7 for autofocus, dynamic range, image quality and sharpness (4k = 1080p), stabilization, rolling shutter, frame rates, and cinematic quality! @Sushobhon Konar Yeah I've done a thoro research on models already on the market. My question mainly concerns models which are expected in the near future. Thanks for the help, btw.
If you really want an EVF then go for a6400/6100. The menu system is not that big of a deal, you can create your custom menu in the ZV-E10. If you wanna wait, then wait. But there isn’t anything new on the release radar as far as I’m concerned and the ZV-E10 has fantastic value. I own the ZV-E10 and the a6000.
Sony ZV-E10 can record video max ISO 32.000, and Nikon Z30 can shot still photo max 51.200. (before both camera ISO expanded) I applaud to Nikon which make little compromise for still photo on their "vlogging" camera.

My go to channel for low light comparisons but now I have seller regret for my departed ZV-E10. Nikon did very well to a point, but Canon what are we going to do with you? My Pany G80 would almost keep up!
Any chance you can test the Z30 vs Sony ZV 1 please
🤔, I wonder what the Canon's noise looks like as you slowly step it up from no lights. I am curious to see if showing black at that iso is masking the grain/noise.
Hard to say because everything was so dark
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Agreed
Thank you for testing the cameras with the kit lens
Hi brother when you gonna test Canon EoS R7 with kit lens with Sony A7c (vlogging test, walk and talk mainly)???
I don’t have the A7C, but I will be testing the r7 with other cameras from Sony
It would be cool to see a colour comparison between these all for portraits.
Could you do a comparison with the three camera's with the Sigma 16mm f1.4?
The sigma is only available for the zv-E10 out of the three
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Oh well, thanks
What a great video 👌🏼 Do you recommend ZV E10 for sports photography and podcasts? 📸🎙
Very nice, beautiful dude!
We want you to compare the rolling shutter on the three cameras and which one is better
in the extreme low light, the sony is doing better due to noise reduction, next the nikon. maybe if the canon shadows is raised in post it would be good, because canon likes crashing shadows or a different picture profile. but overall all are disappointing in low light. anyone who cares this much, should probably go full frame, and that's my decision to skip apsc completely.
@@kean4582 im not suggesting no one buys an apsc, im suggesting anyone who cares extremely much about low light like going into high iso, you should save extra and get the full frame with moderate lens. for daytime, really full frame is irrelevant in my opinion.
. Is Nikon z30 good enough to compete with Sony zve10 ? Thanks for your hard work !
The Nikon is a good camera - but it overheats in 4k between 20-30 mins, has no HLG and no zebras. That makes it difficult to recommend over the Sony
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis It’s got something called “Active D Lighting”. That’s Nikon speak for HDR. Additionally it’s got weather sealing and a very sturdy body. And no crop in 4K unlike the Sony
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis The Sony has an additional 1.23X crop in 4K30P which you failed to mention, that is almost an extra 25% crop vs. the Nikon Z30, which has no crop on 4K30. That is a big advantage for the Z30 when hand holding and vlogging.
And rolling shutter is too bad with Sony. Nikon is smooth
Bro iam focusing on wilde life photography and videography, for that purpose which is best nikon z30, z50, sony a 6400 or any other, please suggest a good camera ? , iam a beginner ?
Do these cameras have the same flare problem like on the iPhones?
no - that is an iPhone only problem
Wow Nikon is superior by far in this test. Sony looked very green and mushy to me. Nikon has better colours, clarity and sound.
I really like the Nikon a alot,, but unfortunately it overheats at about 25 mins in 4k
Can you do the all cameras @ 4.5 when shooting the dynamic range test as the Canon was set @ aperture 4,5 when the other cameras are at 3.5, that 2/3 stop difference
I did do the cameras all at 4.5. it was the second test in the vid
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Okay thanks for the reply but in the video @ 5min 40s you show 4.5 for the Canon and 3,5 for the Nikon and Sony when doing the DR test, but thanks for clarifying
How would canon compare with the 50mm f1.8?
Nikon looks the best imho.
Excellent review. This is my first time on this channel. English is not my native language. But I enjoyed watching the entire video from beginning to end. Like and subscribe. Thank you for your work.
thank you!!
for photography which one is best? zve10 vs z 30?
both good - but I think the Nikon is a little better
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ok thanks bro
Hoi Mark, there are rumors that Sony gonna soon announce a new ZV aps-c camera, can you tell us or the rumors are true and if yes what you know about it?
Thank you
They don’t tell me anything. 🤣 But I’m hoping for a flagship apsc as an update to the a6600
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks Mark, let's hope it gonna be a good one and not to expensive
Any reason why the α6600 isn’t included in these comparisons? Can’t be price considering the iPhone pro is $1000
The a6600 is not in the same price category of the 3 cameras. These are the entry level offerings. I just threw the iPhone in as base comparison. The a6600 will perform similarly to the zv-e10 as will the a6400 as they share the same sensor
Nice comparison..
But still no fujifilm in this test...
yes - difficult to get a Fuji camera in.
Hey Handsom,
Which one is the best between R10 & ZVE-10 for non-commercial photography and videography?
the r10 has a viewfinder so probably that will be easier for photography.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks for your quick response
Canon
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis is there any 3rd party lense maker for Canon R10 (I am actually looking for an 85mm lense and canon's 85 mm lense is very expensive), any suggestions?
I have a new idea for a video. Regular light and low of 11mm f1.8 attached to a7siii and Sony aps-c camera on same gimbal in vlogging test. Compare rolling shutter, dynamic range, color, field of view and resolution. Crop the vignette out of the a7siii in post.
Wow, first time I've seen your channel.
That was a great test set up
As a Nikon fanboy it was good to see..
I have a zfc, and I hope they make some more DX lenses
Viltrox has made a killer 13mm 1.4 that I'm reviewing now.
Hey! Could you please talk about whether the R10’s Optical Viewfinder Assist mode is any good in your next video, would be of great help. Love your videos and the apple juice :)
Do you suggest iPhone 13 Pro Max compare to Sony ZV-E10 camera for indoor real estate videography I have both cameras but I couldn't find in my country 12mm lens with f.2 resolution for Sony ZV-E10 that is why I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max ?
Sony colours turn green in low light
Z50 vs zv E10 comparison video please
Basically are the canons worth it over the zv-e10? They have (crippled?) Digic X and zv-e10 still Bionz x so they should be better for 4K especially. Sony should be due to make aps c based on bionz XR soon that I think should blow Canon away. Can Canons compete with Catalyst Browse?!
Yes - I will be doing something like this
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis 👏👏👏👏👏 I will wait for it! I'm still using Canon (2 M100s and an old 450D), but I'm thinking about Sony because the lenses availability or Nikon because you can adapt near everything to Z mount and I don't mind loosing autofocus, I want to adapt mostly manual lenses. The most important for me is that I feel Sony and mostly Nikon deserves more customers loyalty. I hate Canon crippling game. If I compare entry level full frame the Z5 gives you IBIS, dual card, wheater sealed body. Much more than RP and cheaper than A7C. That's important for me, thinking about future purchases
Yes,me to
R10 is the only one that can do 4K60, correct?
Yes indeed. Has a crop of course but it's the only one to offer 4k60 at this price point.
Thank you
how to take hyperlaps in z v e 10. when i am using PP10 in zve 10 in primer while editing all looks fine but when I export the file get too much bright I don't know how to handle and use PP10 in primer if you can tell us from zero will be good. thank you for your all videos we learn a lot
I don’t use premier, but you need to convert HLG3 (PP10) to Rec.709. the easiest thing to do is apply an HLG3 LUT. I provided a free one on my HLg3 video - try that out. ruclips.net/video/RVrEQPsFOpE/видео.html
Teşekkür ederiz ama Türkçe altyazıda bekliyoruz
Hey Mark, do you have any news about new sony camera release?
I'm 99.9% sure to buy zv-e10 but worried that maybe there would be a better model with EVF and a new menu layout from sony on the way.
What should I do, pls advise?
if you like video its e10 or 6400 if photo is main and video is side objective 6100 is good
@Sushobhon Konar Yeah I've done a thoro research on models already on the market.
Gonna skip kit lenses for sure. Just go for the f1.4 lenses
smart
Sony ZV-E10 can record video max ISO 32.000, and Nikon Z30 can shot still photo max 51.200. (before both camera ISO expanded)
I applaud to Nikon which make little compromise for still photo on their "vlogging" camera.
Does you face any focus breathing wile recording 4k in z30 or any glitches in 4k mode ? Thanks
So far no glitches in 4k mode. But focus breathing depends on the lens.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis so 16-50 kit lense has focus breathing issues or not ??
Thank you for your video. Since you have all 3 cameras it would be very helpful to compare how Davinci resolve handles their files. 4k 8 bit and 4k 10 bit. Not everyone has latest Mac- or intend to have it at all, can average PC edit those files?
They shouldn’t cause much of an issue - the 8-but files for sure are fine. So far I’ve noticed nothing with the 10-but r10 files being difficult. I have a 2019 iMac - definitely not the latest and greatest
sir, how about the viltrox 13mm f1.4 on the both zv e10 and nikon z 30
The performance will be pretty identical. The Viltrox 13 is a must buy in you get the Nikon in my opinion. The Sony has a few wide options - but Nikon does not
People are going to amazed after seeing Nikon results 😂
Nikon is doing good things these days.
32k looks like the Sony caught up. The Sony and Nikon need flat profiles in this test.
Does nikon z30 has eye autofocus in 4k mode ??? Also any down sampling like zv10
Yes to both. But unfortunately - it overheats in 4k after about 25 mins
pls test with sigma 1.4 16mm
the sigma 16 is only available for the Sony. No Sigma for the canon RF mount or Nikon Z mount,
Still happy with the Sony!
