Hi there, different people may need different types of magnesium for different reasons! Here's a quick video I did on Magnesium for ADHD that you'll find helpful. ruclips.net/video/u1a70RoYRCk/видео.html
Absolutely loved the video, would you have any problem with me sharing this video to my TikTok page? I will be sure to give you credit and send them to your page for further information. I have a lot of people asking about supplements for their children and this video could be a great used to them.
I generally feel comfortable recommending these supplements at around age 4 and up. Younger than that it's best to consult with your doctor. Start working on the diet and nutrition side of things, and as he gets older if you need to work in supplements you could do so.
When it comes to supplements, there is no one-size-fits-all, and without working with your family, I can not recommend. If you need a good starting point to begin making changes for your child and family, be sure to check out my free masterclass: bit.ly/3GE3cLX or get in contact with me here: adhdthriveinstitute.com/contact-us/

Hey there I can not advise withut working with your child directly. You’re welcome to contact me here so we can chat further: adhdthriveinstitute.com/contact-us/
For an affordable, all around good probiotic, I like Klaire Labs Therbiotic. Seeking Health makes a great liquid vitamin D. I can't advise on dosing though since I'm not working directly with your child, sorry! If you want to learn additional food and natural strategies that can help, check out my free webinar: adhdthrivemethod.com/webinar-registration-1
What about all the cofactors for these supplements. These are great nutrients, but can cause health issues if they go out of balance. Vitamin d needs vitamin k to make sure it doesn’t push calcium into inappropriate absorption (calcium deposits, etc). Magnesium needs potassium, sodium, etc to help keep it in balance, too much of one will push another out of balance. I’m not sure why this is rarely touched on.
Absolutely, that's why focusing on a micronutrient rich whole foods diet is especially important to bring back that balance to the body. These are typically specific vitamins and minerals that we don't get enough of from our diet and that are depleted more quickly in today's world/lifestyle. Working with someone who can guide you can be incredibly beneficial as well, and I regularly tell my clients I really prefer to test-not guess!
I can't provide dosing if I'm not working directly with your child, but fish oil and vitamin d I generally feel comfortable recommending to all ages of the families I'm working with. Magnesium and the probiotic, it may be helpful to chat through with your care provider.
I use this most often: shop.adhdthriveinstitute.com/catalog/product/view/id/15738/s/mind-thrive/ But keep in mind one supplement can't do it all and diet and nutrition have to be our foundation. So if you need any support, don't hesitate to reach out. Happy to chat further!
My child can't have Gummi vitamins. What to do? The reason is is that he gets into them and eats more than allowed even when put away or hidden. I am sure locking then up would help however it is then likely I would forget or lose the key due to my own ADHD. Also ..living up near the 52nd parallel do we need to give him more vitamin D?
I don't recommend gummy vitamins at all, they have additives and sugar. You can use my vitamin D I recommend in liquid form, or you can choose a capsule and open it to pop into a smoothie, applesauce, etc. shop.adhdthriveinstitute.com/catalog/product/view/id/15741/s/shine-thrive/
I can not advise as I am not working with your kids directly. However, I rarely recommend multivitamins. You’ll rarely get enough of any one vitamin or mineral to get a therapeutic effect. If you need a good starting point to begin making changes for your family, be sure to check out my free masterclass: bit.ly/3GE3cLX or get in contact with me here: adhdthriveinstitute.com/contact-us/

Hey Londa, Pure Encapsulations is a good all around and affordable brand for mag. I can't provide dosing as I'm not directly working with your child and don't know their personal info and history. It really depends on each child and what else is going on inside them. General rule of thumb though if they are half the size of an adult, then half the dose but with magnesium we do titrate slowly and sometimes go higher than. You'll likely find my webinar useful as well, I'll link it here if you'd like to watch: adhdthrivemethod.com/webinar-registration-other
It's not one I recommend for all on a regular on going basis, depends on the child and their health history and what's going on in the body. Zinc is one I recommend more when ill and preventing illness, to help aid the immune system. Otherwise, I suggest it when functional lab testing determines it's needed.

I like Pure Encapsulations. It depends on what you're trying to target (constipation for example) a lot of people find success with Mag Glycinate as it's primarily helpful for calming, anxiety, sleep, etc.
Nordic Naturals is great for fish oil, I like a few different mag brands...Pure Encapsulations is a good all around and affordable options, as is Klaire Labs Therbiotic Complete for a probiotic.

All the B vitamins are important, especially for our compromised kids. I find it's not as difficult to ensure intake of the B vitamins through food as often as it is for some of the other vitamins and minerals. But functional lab testing can always determine any deficiences if need be.
I was interested in knowing the specific supplement we need to use for ADHD to be able to balance brain activity.
Thank you for such valuable information, it's so helpful for children

What supplements would you recommend for a two year old? Would this be a good way to start with helping his behavior?
I generally feel comfortable recommending these supplements at around age 4 and up. Younger than that it's best to consult with your doctor. Start working on the diet and nutrition side of things, and as he gets older if you need to work in supplements you could do so.
What do you think of the product Equezen Pro Children's liquid? Its a Omega 3 supplement but it is higher in EPA than DHA.

Hello, Please which of this would you recommend for a 3 years/7months old child ?
Hi Joyce, without working with your child directly, and without knowing their health history, I can not make specific recommendations.

Are these brands and supplements okay for a 2.5 year old?
I don't make recommendations for kids under 4, you'd want to check with your current provider as they know your child's health history
My kids are taking multivitamins now, can i add all this to them or just these and take off the multivitamins?
I can not advise as I am not working with your kids directly. However, I rarely recommend multivitamins. You’ll rarely get enough of any one vitamin or mineral to get a therapeutic effect.
