  • Well after nine years on and off, we're getting really close to seeing this car on the road. The front guards (fenders) have been one small reason, with some of the work being subbed out and some of it being completed here. The paint looks satin and will attain its sheen mechanically once it has properly hardened off, which is a downside of acrylic. Still, it's what the cars were originally painted in, so will look fantastic. We have some news in this one and some varied content as well. Hope you enjoy!

She's looking fantastic and she's dangerously close to that test drive. It's going to feel amazing to drive her across that threshold at the end of the driveway. Sad about the EJ, that was the build I was really looking forward to. I love the EJ/EH. I reckon the EH was more popular than the EJ at the time and it may have had something to do with the new red engine.
EJ's and EH's are still pulling some decent money for nice unmolested ones.
Oh well nevermind, the XA however, is going to be a beast, geez mate, SEVEN litre ?!?!?

Saw the thumbnail and thought I recognised a Galaxie. Love the pillarless sedans. I had a 1968 Aussie assembled RHD sedan some years back. Probably should have hung onto it

Vans and utes were commercial vehicles, they didn’t need door intrusion bars and didn’t need to meet passenger car emission controls, in Australia at the time.

Owned both a 67 Galaxie 2 hardtop (the rear quarter windows wound into the guards), 390 auto, came from Tom Landy Ford in Alameda, USA originally.
The other was a 67 4 door, had bench seats, 390 + auto, and was actually a Fischer body car; imported & RHD Aussie model (originally owned by a higher up in Ford Oz).

Shame about the EJ, but you can only work on so many cars. Mechanically it would have been fun to watch, but the body needs a ton of work so it would be a long project. Totally up to you of course but if you have to thin out, cars you should keep are obviously the XD and XW, this XC too, because you've put so much work into it. The VE is an icon. Last of the real cars. And even the little Sigma is super cool.

Wow, to finally see that XC coming together in one piece, amazing. It looks good and I can't wait to see it on the road. Did someone actually import that Galaxie all the way over from Washington State?

Some gxl love. Perfect. Shame about the ej. But by gosh it was going to be slow. Im sort of ok with the modified motor option. You dont have a super hot motor in your fleet so maybe you can allow just one. But it does sound like 25k plus into the driveline. Glad your brother is paying

WOW Home stretch wit the XC. Looking fantastic! Really looking forward to the Galaxie, what a beautiful piece of classic Americana. Obviously the XA is a longer term project with cancer and parts resourcing but really looking forward to that too. What happened to the lovely little sigma that you freshened up? Did you sell it or are 1 of the kids driving it?
