For me, it was clapping back at the teacher.
Because of my autism, I had to go to a private room sometimes to chill out. My teacher didn't like that and went "you can't leave." and I as I was leaving, I snapped back with "Stop me then." and everyone went wild

I was a quiet kid, but was never bullied for it once I reached middle school. I did this by deliberately cultivating an aura of mystery around myself to the point that people would try to be friends with me to know what my deal was. Essentially, because everyone "knew" there was something weird about me that would be interesting to learn, they tried to learn what it was through being friendly towards me. I kept this going by dropping small hints about something mysterious to those who managed to get in close, but never revealing anything because there was nothing to reveal.

I was the quiet kid in middle school. I was the teacher's pet, a bit shy, and was often sick (migraines). The girl who had the locker next to me decided I was an easy target and picked on me. She bullied me in homeroom and tried to slam my locker door closed on my fingers most days. I took it for the first 2 months of school, but I had reached my breaking point by Halloween. I'd fallen in my shoulder and had my arm in a sling for two weeks and when she slammed my door I lost it. I chased her down the hallway with one arm in a sling and smacking her with the bag my Halloween costume was in. The teachers looked the other way because they knew what I'd been putting up with and she left me alone for the rest of the year.
The next year she was expelled for putting another girl in the hospital for a week, so I'd might have been risking more than I knew about.

It started in this history class thing where we’d compete in Shakespeare’s style insults using modern ideas. So “head priestess at Thottery Shrine” “the good knight of baldspottian” kind of like late night TV when they’d say “cnn anchor and wet owl so and so” so “captain of the boys lacrosse team and boy who WILL over pronounce the word croissant”

In middle school, I was bullied constantly. Even had people tell me a dozen times a day (literally) to kill myself. People would even go as far to say that they weren’t joking and that I really should. My best friend Mike who stayed back, found out I was being bullied (didn’t tell him how serious it was but I think he found out since his large size and toughness made I’m super popular immediately so people would say nasty things about me behind my back but in front of Mike). So he decided to threaten everyone who insulted me, or bullied me and then when the bullying stopped and everyone suddenly was nice to me, he told me about it. He is a sweet kid at heart and would never harm a fly but he knew that they didn’t know that side of him. Only his closest friends did. Man, Mike is fucking awesome! Making me tear up thinking about it! I was depressed during that time and the bullying ending really helped me get out of that dark place. Without it, I don’t think I would have made it through it. Still haven’t told him that tho. But man I miss Mike. Haven’t seen him much since graduation.

I did reconnect with my half sister thanks to her finding us on Facebook so looking people up online is definitely great! I tried finding her but I couldn’t cuz I didn’t know her last name. I wasn’t sure if it was the same or not which it apparently is different cuz she kept her mothers name which I didn’t know her mothers name. I love my sister!

I got interested in fashion and make up sophomore year and became one of the best dressed and looking kids in the school. I studied my body type my face shape my hair type everything and wore what flattered it, I found it loads of fun. My signature was a flower crown that I would wear a lot, I had different kinds too for different outfits. I was known as the flower crown girl, then one girl came up to me once and told me she always saw me in the halls and always wished to be my friend. That was when I realized how popular I became, that strangers wanted to befriend me but were too nervous, I thought it was ridiculous though, I would've loved to be friends with them all

That's so cute.... in my place and culture, those beautiful flower crowns will be thrown away, and you'll be reported cuz there's a school unif conduct. I once wore a hat with glittered demon horns during school festival, and my homeroom teacher and the staff reported it to my parents lol.
A girl I knew from 6th grade forward was the "Quiet Kid" and had gotten bullied A LOT all through Middle, but when she started High School she joined dance, became involved with our local metaphysics geeks, started talking a lot, and started a band. After all of this we ended up finding out that 1, she LOVES hip-hop music, 2, she can both hip-hop dance AND rap, and 3, (we learned this when hanging out after school) she not only knew how to sword fight, but she also could dual wield and knew krav maga. That girl became one of the popular kids in just a matter of months.
Lilah, if you read this, know that you were and still are, the most badass person I know.

He was a tall quiet guy with hair covering most of his facial features, so most people didn’t know what he looked like. One day I gave him a hair pin and told him to only pull back the hair on about half his face because I saw some guys in anime do it and it looked good on them. He did it. Before he looked like a hentai protagonist, now he looks APPROACHABLE. So people did. We had very similar noses and I’ve had plenty of girls call my nose “romantic” or some bullshit like that, so I thought I could help him draw people in with his. And it worked.

I was the quiet kid. I wasn’t the most social person (this was in 4th grade) but I did have a friend group. I would purposefully not raise my hand and didn’t talk for academic things. Two things made me popular. Once I was chilling alone at recess and this group of people come and mess around. One kid who was a boy, and taller then me accidentally bumped into me. I didn’t actually care but all the girls in that group just yelled at him and said stuff like “DUDE YOU JUST HURT (Insert name)”. The other time it was Valentine’s Day. Everyone got valentines from everyone because we were a No BuLlYiNg school. My crush who also had a crush on me gave me something extra. It was a bag and inside it had a card and a box of kit kats. The whole class, no, the whole fourth grade, even the teachers, made us the center of romance and gossip.

I was the person in school who always hung out with the so-called weird kids, the depressed kids and all the kids who had trouble making friends. One day, one of my first ever best friends got popular so fast it was god-like. I imagine that's what it feels like being parent and seeing your kid grow up.
Although I'm typically quiet in school, I've never been bullied. It's possible that everyone figured out that I was waiting for an excuse to let out some steam, but I doubt it.

Lol IM the quiet kid and when I won the presidential award in Dubai for something like distinguished student, I instantly became the coolest and popular kid in school but that was in my old schools. In my present school, no matter how many awards I get and how hard i try at things, the teachers just cast me away like a broken sandal and theyre biased as HELL :( Theyre only biased to a set of students and thats given them a major ego :(

Wasn't really popular always, but after I got into 8th class I got pretty famous because people mature by then. Many people are jealous of me and it's probably the same with you... Don't worry dude, just find others who are into studies and hang out with them, ignore the bullies... Once you pass out from school you will be popular because of how good you are in studies and no one's gonna ask about where the bullies ended up. The main reason people don't dare to bully me is because I'm on the school council and most of the teachers like me a lot. So even if they try to do anything to me, they will get screwed up big time. But still many people are jealous of me and it's obvious.
In short, ignore the bullies, keep doing what you're doing, try and become the teacher's pet (it may sound lame, but it's the best way to survive school). Finally you'll end up with such power no one will dare bully you. Advice from a fellow student in 12th class, about to pass out in a few months 😄
There's no need to trash the system, true that there's a lot of problems for sincere students in school, but once you get the results it's all worth it. Just fine a good friend group who are interested in studying and you're good to go for the rest of your school life!

It’s based off of our instinct to follow the alpha and not get on their bad side once the alpha gets thrown down the person that did it becomes essentially the “alpha” of the group. Example: a pack of wolves.
For me one of the quiet kids was being picked on. They were making jokes like “it’s all good until he reaches into his backpack” and he said “I’m TikTok famous” (he was) and everyone automatically wanted to be friends with him
short story: i yelled at the class to shut up during class and surprisingly, it kind of worked.
Long story:
I'm kinda the quiet kid. In my school, there's this really nice biology teacher that never yells, is kind of mother like to her students, sent a really nice message to them during lockdown, but also isn't respected. She's the only biology teacher, so it's even more tiring for her.
One day, a few months ago, class was especially loud. Teacher kept shushing us, but it was of course still really loud. My anger is starting to build up. I then say kind of loudly: "Shut up!" And the class stares at me, then starts whispering about what just happened. I'm not really proud that i just did that, but class becomes loud again in just one or two minutes. I'm so fed up thinking about our teacher having to enduré this that i yell, louder than before and than i would have liked, with teary eyes: "IT'S BEEN YEARS, YEARS THAT SHE'S TEACHING. YEARS THAT SHE HAS TO ENDURE US. SO PLEASE, JUST ONE DAY, ONE DAY WHERE SHE CAN RELAX."
The class almost shut up completly, the teacher didn't punish me and even kind of thanked me after class, and for one or two days, i became a little bit popular in the class; i'm now sometimes reminded of this moment, but all they see is that i got more respect for the teacher-
I'm also not really proud that i was teary eyed and then kind of cried silently of rage (crying in front of the class is really not a nice thing, plus when you're unpopular), that there is also two/three quiet kids that had to watch me go emotional, or that a few days later i got scolded by our PE teacher;
but at least, i'm glad she could have had a better day.

I did have a crush on my best (only) friend awhile back but when I told one of the popular kids they blabbed about it to everyone in the grade except my best friend. I got all the looks and the giggles when I barely even did anything. She was completely oblivious though, but nobody, not even me, would have to guts to tell her about the situation. I told her one day and she completely shut me out of her life. I made a few efforts to talk to her again, through emails, ect. But she ignored me like the plague. She even went out of her way to go a different route to class and switch seats with people so she wouldn't be near me. I don't blame her though. I mean, I'm not the prettiest or the coolest person in the school. I'd say she's doing fine now, seeing that she has a whole table of friends to talk with now.
A few weeks later, I said screw it, and now I'm gonna have to make a friend.
I only knew of one person that always tried to give me another chance even when I pushed her away. I went to the Haiden and she took me into her group. She really great at most everything really. I don't know how I was so mean to her the last year. Ouch. However, she knew about my problem and I think she might have accidentally seen me crying right before Spanish as usual because that's when I talk to myself too much.
She's a good person in my book. I'm glad to have her as a friend of mine. Oh, and now I'm getting along with the popular kids. Adi and Johnathan also apparently love having me in their group. I wasn't ever mean to them, so I don't see a reason why they'd hate me.

It’s been 3 years since, and I still get dreams that taunt my mind telling me that we could’ve been friends still, if I hadn’t messed up... yet I didn’t mess up, but that’s something I’m scared of because of her, I’m scared anything I do will mess up my current friendships, so I basically live in a constant state of fear, fear of messing up, fear of others talking behind my back, basically a fear of living like a regular kid..

Kid was almost mute, never talked. We'll call her 'Q' and another "important" guy 'D'. I witnessed hell break out. Keep in mind that violence was common here and nothing was ever done about it (which resulted in many people getting broken body parts)
Q was bullied quite a lot by D, I was also quiet so I never interfered. One day though, Q just straight up *snaps* in front of my friends and I plus two people. Q grabbed D by the arm and shoved him to the concrete and burning sidewalk (we were outside and it was pretty hot out). Q starts stomping on his back but got tired of that so she sat down and one by one broke all the fingers on D's left hand. D had been sobbing and screaming as my the others were frozen in fear and I (being the sadist I am) giggled at D's suffering since I hated him. Q got up, stomped on his back one last time before doing that "shhh" thing, picked up her stuff, and casually walked inside. One of the other people took a photo of D who was sobbing on the ground and then ran inside with the other person. My friends and I ran aswell. People flocked around Q and wanted to be her friend but surprisingly she chose to be our friend, and after a few years she had to go to another school.

It is true tho-
I had a panic attack in class, I have no clue what happened that started it, all I know is that it was out of the blue. I was also the first person in the class to get bullied. I also cried on the playground in elementary. Second student in the entire grade to take counseling during one of my classes. I took it because of actual anxiety disorders and high stress levels, the other girl was in there just to talk to someone because she had no friends, except me and a mentally ill kid. I was the kid who had some of the worst flexablity.

Tho I was never really bullied because well I kinda Am one of the best drama students in my year and I use that skill to hide my mental Health and then one time I just randomly broke down and I got sent to counselling and I'm still in counselling

I was very quiet. Down on my luck, I decided to throw myself into my own interests and my hobbies. I focused on my art and by the senior year, I was known as that girl who draws really good. I wasn’t popular but people knew who I was which was more popular than I had ever been.

I was homeschooled my whole life, live in a neighborhood of reclusive old people, and hated making friends, so I was awkward around everyone under like 40. So when I went to a public driver's ED class, I was. fucking. horrified. When we had a test we were allowed to do open book, I decided to do it without my book because I wanted to do it by myself. The guy next to me went "Damn it, I forgot my book" so I just grabbed mine and said "Hey, I'm not gonna use my book, you can borrow it for the test." and handed it to him. Everyone's heads swiveled like owls to stare and me, and it was like those seagull from Finding Nemo, but everyone was saying shit like "Omg that's so nice" and I'm just slinking back in my chair like "It's human decency please leave me alone". Dropped out soon after because I didn't like the attention and it was making me panic so much I couldn't focus.... Still don't have my fucking license.

I was the bitter person in high school. I struggled to adapt to the changes, so I didn't make many friends and knew that no one gave a shit. If someone broke my glasses and then I came back respected by others I would be angry and bitter about it.

In middle school, this bully liked to pick on the quiet kid. One day, the bully punched him, and, being immature children, we circled up and started chanting. The quiet kid just stood there. As a quiet kid, I never got really popular in school, but I had a complex method of deterring bullies, that made friends of those who noticed what I was doing.
Whenever someone begins to bully me, insulting one thing or another, I would agree with them, expand on the subject, and then branch off the conversation into how easy it is to kill people using different methods. Like how smothering somebody with a pillow only takes 3-5 minutes. Said person would get really uncomfortable and leave me alone after that. I never actually threatened anyone, so the teachers didn’t feel any reason to interfere, and many found it amusing when they asked, and I told them, why I like to discuss such morbid topics with people.
There was only me person who actually got pissed enough at me that she slapped me across the face when her insults clearly had no impact on me. She slapped me across the face, and sent my glasses a few feet away into the grass, (no damage). I simply looked at her and asked “are you done?” She proceeded to get more pissed and stormed off. This was immediately followed by and awkward silence by everyone around me, before we continued our conversation like nothing happened. (I have no idea if that’s weird or if it’s because we were military brats, but the concept of violence really just, dulled on us.)

I had an iPhone 5c last year and after a lot of years in use it gave out in the middle of class and just exploded. People got good laughs from that and everybody from my hall got to get class out because of the literal toxic smoke.

A part of me i always loved about myself is that I was never that asshole kid in school. I always made friends with the quiet kids. The lonely and sad. The most likely to be bullied, or laughed at or humiliated, the one who sat alone at lunch. You know, the one that was most likely being abused in every way at home. The one who's parents would never ask how things are going in school and so never expected anyone else to care. I was one of those kids. It sucks eating alone while everyone around you is in groups. My goal was to not let anyone else felt the way I felt. Best feeling in the world 😊
Reminds me of high school. Every lunch, there was this bully who kept throwing stuff at the quiet kid just to mess with the guy. What we students didn't know was that the quiet kid was a big wrestling fan. In an assembly we had an anthem that we would chant. And one time I was dared to do it. The school discovered how loud i can yell. (Unnaturally loud, like it hurts my ears to do it and makes them ring) I have been a moderately loud kid since
I was the quiet kid at my high school and got bullied a lot along with a couple of my former friends. There were two girls in particular who terrorised two of my former friends every day.
One day, my former friends and I were walking across the courtyard when the two girls stalked us and tried to unzip my friend's bags to make their stuff fall out. I don't know how but I saw red and I pushed one of the girls into a wall and told her to leave us alone. She fell over but stood up and walked away with her friend, laughing and calling us names. I immediately told the head of our year what happened as I was overwhelmed with guilt.
The next day, I was told that the girl I pushed had a broken collar bone from the fall (which turned out to be a lie to try and get compensation off my family). Despite that, I got suspended for two days while the bullies got away with no punishment. One day, I overhears a conversation with some other kids saying no one should cross me or I'd beat them up like I did to that girl. I promptly corrected them and waited for the insults because I knew I wasn't that popular. Instead, everyone else said they respected me and how the bully was getting too big for her boots. They just didn't expect me, one of the quietest kids in school, to be the one to give her a reality check. That felt so good to hear and despite not having everyone flock to me, they had a secret respect for me.
I was the quiet kid. We had in-door break and everyone was upset. So I asked the teacher if I could draw, she said yes. I was drawing and minding my own business (and I had pretty fancy and expensive art supplies) when a kid came up and saw me drawing. He asked if I could draw him, and I said no because I never thought I was a good drawer. Everyone disagreed and thought I was the best drawer in the world and before I knew it, I was doing a tutorial for the entire class. Soon the school heard, and at the awards assembly, I got an art award. I still have it to this day. I even got phone numbers from it.

I, too, changed school when I felt like I had grown more sociable, but didn't feel like I could change my 'reputation' in my old class still. I'd say that I got instantly more popular when I came out though. That was probably the instant trigger for me - I'm lucky to have been born in Denmark in this day and age. 😊

On time in 5th(?) grade, one of my buds, who wasn’t very popular, but in a classic P.E. game of kickball, he kicked and SWISHED that sucker from across the gym. We all went crazy, and he had a day of popularity
When I was in grade 11 there was a kid called Tristan. This kid used to be my friend, so he knew my mother had died in labor. We ended up hating each other over time, and it got to the point where he would Harrass me constantly. One day while we were changing into gym clothes, he starts berating me as usual. Then, he calls my mother a w**re. I don’t know what took over me, but my 2 1/2 years in jujitsu kicked in, and I grabbed both his arms and popped them out of their sockets. Broke every bone in his left hand cause I curb stomped his hand against a bench as he tried to reach for it (emphasis on tried to). I was suspended for a month and he almost pressed charges because he lost most function of his left hand. Do I regret it? Fuck no, he called my dead mother a wh**e. After that I basically became the “don’t fuck with him” kid.

I barely talked at all in school that the teachers and students forgot I was there. We had a Black history month show,and I wanted to sing so I joined but practiced at home. The day it happened I got on the stage I singed dynamite. Teachers kept asking me to sing for events and kids requested me to sing

Its a bit late, but in yr 7, me and my friend were messing around at the back of the class, and the teacher (supply teacher) told us to stop being 7 yr olds and be yr 7s. About 10 minutes later, he came over and asked "So, are you year 7s, or 7 year olds?". My friend answered year 7, and I said 7 year old. I was 12. And then I seemed to be the most popular person in year 7 for about a week.
I was a quiet kid but when I told someone I could solve a rubiks cube people were amazed and I got popular. I had a couple rivals but a couple years later I quit cubing. I still would solve them but it was just for fun. But some people still know me because of my talent and I like that and sometimes help new cubers to get better.
There was this kid in my school. We were near 10 years old. About a year ago or so. She wasn’t necessarily quiet but she definitely wasn’t popular. One day, our friend rushed into the school with a video. She was on America’s Got Talent... she sang Shallow and got the golden buzzer. Let me just say, she pretty much rules the school now.
