    OD/UD gears all day long for sure. I'd consider replacing the servo as mandatory and definitely before the axles, but YMMV. Thanks for another entertaining and informative episode.

    Thanks alot! You got me spending more $$ on my TRX4. I just bought the GRC G2 axles a complete set along with the steering link. This year I've replaced the electronics and motors twice. I've wanted metal axles for a couple of years. So watching this, I decided to go for the real deal vs. the Amazon clone. I also have the beveled gear set too but normal drive. I also upgraded my radio to the Flysky NB4 Pro+. I've had the NB4 for a couple of years, still works, but I want the feature set of the Pro. You've taught me alot, but I am a trail and scale crawler with rocks as part of the trail and stream crossings. I got the GRC Defender interior years ago. I just got the Defender clear body yesterday. Still got a couple of bits to finish the build. Still got December sales to look forward too.

    23:30 Loctite and similar thread lockers require an absence of air and proximity to metal ions. So keeping air in the bottle prevents it from setting up.

    10:26 that’s not near enough grease! Fill the housing so the gear is always picking up grease.

      The amount of grease he put in was way enough,kid.😉 More is only contraproductive. Because your gather your knowledge online doesn't mean you are right.

    I buy a lot of used trucks and the panhard is never the right length and they all have a tremendous amount of bump steer , so I understand try it 8 times before you get it right .

    The best improvement for my two TRX-4s was the Injora TRX4-LCG chassis. I don't like all the useless Traxxas plastic parts. I then replaced the gearbox and now all that's left are the axles.

      If you're gonna go that route, it's a whole lot better to buy axles a la carte and then build up the chassis. Starting from a kit, you'd have enough left over to almost build another Sport. I want to keep the "useless plastic parts," because in my case they do indeed have a use-- like holding the body on. I'm personally a fan of the TRX-4 gearbox. It's got one of the lowest CGs of any gearbox out there.

    I need a set if thise spools and a set of the overdrive/underdrive gears for my trx6. Do it like you did your trx6 except lock out the rear axles.

    • @Bonitacreekrcs
      @Bonitacreekrcs Месяц назад +1

      With the rear unlocked you will get a better turning radius

    • @charleshurley8927
      @charleshurley8927 Месяц назад +1

      @Bonitacreekrcs I don't want my rear axles unlocked. That's why I'm getting the overdrive/underdrive

    Not easy to decide between a Rhino and a Fusion Pro. Have both and are kinda similar on smootness!!

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  Месяц назад

      Aside from tinkering, there's really no need for an outrunner in a TRX-4. We have plenty of space and the gearbox is suitably low CG, so we're only putting outrunners in there because we can. I don't think there's a better option for the TRX-4 than an 1800kv Fusion SE. Nothing gives as much bang for the buck.
