I have to admit the guys made a great choice picking Joan Jett to do this song. I realize nobody will ever be able to duplicate Kurt Cobain in Nirvana, but she did an excellent job.
blueangel0925 She is good in her own way, but she honestly wasn't really the best choice. The RRHoF has gotten Jett to attend for the last four times. It's kinda annoying already.
Von Sterner So just cause Kurt advocated for women, does that mean they should get just about any chick to come and play their songs? The RRHoF has this bad tendency of getting the same artists to come up and play tribute songs. This is literally their 2nd or 3rd time of getting Joan Jett here. Not that she's bad, but they could have gotten another band or artist that knew him well or was best suited with Nirvana's music like Bikini Kill.
I've heard this song +10 million times. I've listened to every version I could ever find. To this day, Dave Grohl still makes me want to start head banging when he beats the hell out of those drums at the beginning.
I'm not the biggest Nirvana fan of all time, but HOLY SH*T, that's awesome. It's weird that seemingly the only person who can come close to imitating Kurt's unique voice is actually a woman :D I wouldn't mind a whole concert with this line-up
***** neither would i, and probably hundreds of thousands..tis great to see Joan get her due..back in the day, more than a few people dissed her talent big time..i'm talking way back..she is just a stone-cold rocker..and one of the best ever..

Nobody can replace Kurt's voice but I must say Joan Jett really came close
You can see how much Dave loves to play drums =)
Dave is just happy to make music. When he gets near a guitar or drums he's like a dog in a room full of tennis balls.

blueangel0925 My exact same thought :)

+Daniel Medina rrhof didn't pick the singers for each song. The guys did out of respect for Kurt. He was an advocate for women.

She has the song tuned to her sound and she doesn't have the voice for the song. Honestly it is horrible
Joan - the legendary godmother of punk and to nail this song...wow! And Dave, keep drumming!
she's a beautiful mess of a rocker. what a voice

Dave still got it :D
Oh yeah!
They all do
I grew up with song. Played it over & over in my youth. Great job Joan & the boys!
I love her so much! And I love Cobain. for her to pay tribute to Cobain was and always will be one of the best memories of my life
perfectly sung. Nobody's trying to imitate the original voice, her voice simply nails it. couldnt be more perfect
Grohl's power still fuckin awsome.
This literally just made me cry. I can't do this.
Great performance.

+dbd1353 In an era when very few rocked, she rocked extra hard.
+Brendan McGinley And Then Came Johnny Gioeli Of Crush 40 He's A Mixture Of Both Joan Jett And Kurt Cobain

I love how Kurt Cobain just put words together and made music, talked about whatever , an albino, a mosquito lol
Kurt was such a simplistic musician. That's what made him so good.
I love Dave aggression on the drums that is total passion !
have a germs guitarist with nirvana and joan jett. Too much awesome on one stage
gpdcjf102 was thinking the same thing...
Dave Grohl just wow on the drums. Everytime I hear this song I always say what if..
Joan can rock...
Of course she loves Rock and Roll
The more I watch this video, the more I think that nobody was more perfect for this than Joan Jett.
Dave Fucking Grohl, everyone.
We miss you Kurt RIP
Badass!
Awesome....💜Joan
Pat Smear Awesome
Go Dave Go!!!
Thanks for posting!! I wish I could be like Joan Jett or Cobain
That was DOPE
Is
Lets face it, Dave is still the only drummer who can perfect the drums to 'smells like teen spirit'. Inspiration ❤️🙌
It's awesome!
Great job!!
This is awesome but nobody can replace the iconic vocals of Kurt. RIP Kurt Cobain 1967-1994

Not a Nirvana fan, but that was fucking awesome...
KICK ASS!!! Damn, Kurdt would have been so fucking PROUD!!! YEAH, ROCK ON!!! :D

How come? I'm young, still a fan of nirvana, but why did they walk off
Awesome! And dont forget Cate Blanchett played Bob Dylan in a movie!
Somebody has changed Pat’s guitar mistake on 2nd chapter 🎉
Am I the only one who thinks this is really really sad?
YASS JOAN FUCKING KILL IT
joan's the one got it going on
"A MUSQUITO" How to pronounce something w/ Joan Jett!
epic
Już myślałem, że Pani Joan nikomu nie daje się pocałować. :P
First time I ever understood the vast majority of the words in this song. Kurt's vocals were all just. "Bahhh da blahhh blaah. BAHHH DE BLAAHH BLAHH"
I love/miss Kurt Cobain
Why can't they just replace Joan Jett with Kurt fucking Cobain..
He passed away 20 years ago mate, I would of loved to see him up there but he's gone unfortunately
Sounds like they're in the wrong tuning.
trying to tune down to match joan's pitch
+Gerg Verlerntern They've played half a step down to ever since 1992. I guess to just go with everyone's pitch they did the same here.
That Nirvana Drummer looks like the frontman of the Foo Fighters. They should start a band.
ke asko kon esto porfabor sean originales son una verguensa
The rich white kids rocking out in the crowd are so cringe, the opposite of nirvana.
