I love how well this choreography aids Carly's dance ability. It is spunky and bouncy and does not force her to try to be graceful and elegant. Also, so many turning cat leaps! Were those worth much?
she gets a lot of crap for being robotic, but the choreo for this routine is super fun and engaging. she's just too stiff and carries herself oddly so she can't pull it off quite right. still an enjoyable routine, but imagine how awesome this choreo would be if a gymnast like omelianchik did it.
Considering her dance and choreography or hideous, and the tumbling while great isnt exactly out of the world a 9.8 is a very generous and inflated score if anything.
maybe because she wasn't doing the hardest stuff out there, it's not the same as trying to stick a silivas or the bigger tumbling that's harsher on the body
Cannot dance at all but great at tumbling. It is called ‘artistic’ gymnastics and this is the opposite. This was an early precursor to what the sport would become
Her tumbling and landings are flawless. It's rare to see that nowadays. Say what you will about Carly but she was a brilliant gymnast.
Oh I loved to watch Carly back then. She has always been my favorite !
