Thank you for the video. I am currently building a Mini Drak using the Brain FPV INAV FC and so far have found the setup to be very easy. Just waiting on my M8N module to show up to finish the project. Thank you for the work you do, it is greatly appreciated.

Great video, but I should clarify, Pixhawk is an open hardware project: it's absolutely not a closed source product. Anyone can legally build and brand a device as a Pixhawk provided that it conforms to certain publicly available schematics and standards. As such, there really isn't any such thing as a Pixhawk "clone". Some people consider 3DR Pixhawks to be the "original" Pixhawk, but in fact even some of their versions had issues, such as the 1MB flash limit problem.

Certainly looking forward to learning more about porting the Ardupilot family onto boards other than Pixhawk. Having spent a few years using Ardupilot i am very comfortable with it, it's thought thought of having to learn a new system from scratch that's put me off trying other boards. Built in osd would be a reason i would try another board - not that i do not have osd with Pixhawk, i still use the minimosd boards, old school, but still work great with the Pixhawk, and displays everything i need it to. It's just a pain having to have that extra board somewhere on the craft.

I have been amazed at ardupilot"s ability to pilot. The software is truly amazing to me. INAV in contrast is also really cool until you try Ardupilot ! The Chibios ..? port for omnibus v3 boards makes an instant robot out of my wings. I flew 3 consecutive missions with auto land perfectly. Then had a go in FBWA and walked to retrieve my plane from the neighbors yard, LOL. MAYBE I can edit video so it looks like I landed it!!!

@@Painless360 I FINALLY got my Revolution Mini working with Ardupilot. I struggled with trying to figure out what I could possibly be doing wrong and it turned out I was going through the motions but didn't know why I was doing what I was doing.
So there's another guy who did the same thing. I couldn't make it work with the info he provided. Time passes I forget all about till you do your video. Thinking I'll try it one more time.....
      No mas.
So then I watched them both back to back.
He gives a description of how it works and you do one that's better on how to make it work.
Between the two of you and an obscure reference on the Ardupilot website I finally got it.
It doesn't help that the other video uses beta flight and yours uses inav (or visa versa) and neither of you were using a screen that matches the one that is currently in use on either of those pages.
And you were using a different flight controller.
But to have a tiny Blade F-27 working with Ardupilot on a mini Revo is TOTALLY COOL.
Something that small with that much technology is so awesome.
Now I'm going to scratch build an "engineered wing" that Samm Shepard built. Only I'm building a BIG mamma jamma. I want to convert the Ramtec OS . 91 ducted fan unit out of my Yellow Aircraft F-4 to an electric inrunner and mount it inside the wing so you can't see it at all. I'm. Going to use Samm's wing design with a blended center section that will look a little like an X-8 blended wing.
It should be glorious at 8-10 feet, and if it works well scaled up I'm going to go 16 feet with a turbine that's been sitting on my bench for 3 years now....
      Thanks for the inspiration.

I will be using GPS with a laptop for monitoring flight, and OSD/ and Run Sift Cam 2, Flying with a Radio Link 10II 12 channel radio.

I love the furious f-35 lightning. Even though it's plug and play it's very easy to make a mistake on ivav I have done it plenty of times disarming in the air not being able to rearm because I left my switch on nav launch. All the switches it gets complicated. I'm building a strix strata surfer I put a lot of money into it with 3D printed parts and aluminum parts and a custom canopy that holds a GoPro Hero 7. I was thinking about taking the furious f-35 lightning and put it in my AR wing instead and getting an eagle tree vector s
Since there's over $1,200 in the air you think it would be the right choice good micro bacteria or the full-sized vector? I would hate just to lose the GoPro Hero .
Thanks in advance for your help
And thanks for the stickers again

That's a lot of money to have in the air so I wouldn't try anything I couldn't rely on. The Vector if you want OSD and the Pixhawk cube if you dont.. best of luck!
P.s. permanently enable nav_launch and then you will not have that problem with iNav ;)

So I would like to ask few questions to fully understand this topic since together with starting FPV I would like to get flight stabilization/control & OSD systems too.
In this video, firstly you presented SOFTware followed by a HARDware stuff. I am particularly interested in iNav (software) ran on one of Matek's board. What is ArduPilot then? Is it equivalent to iNav? I havent seen it mentioned on this video while I think you mentioned it as a flight control system on one of other videos of yours. Can you please where my understanding is wrong?
There is a second question. From beginner RC pilot standpoint who just started to get interested in all of these electronics beyond motor and ESC - is there any important difference between iNav vs. ZOHD Kopilot? I think both have stabilization (iNav might have more modes such as angle and horizon i think), OSD, RTH, autolaunch, GPS module and would support FPV too. And I dont mean how hard would it be to install it (I bet with help of your vids it would be smooth in both cases).
I appreciate your help - thanks!

Yes, don't setup RTH if you don't have GPS or you won't be able to arm the craft

Have you contact details? Have an interesting project in development and would welcome your thoughts on it. Its an aviation project that uses a pixhawk in a configuration that does not appear to have been done very much. Thanks.
