- The Dominican Republic is quite unique, as it offers you the opportunity to live many different types of lifestyles, depending on your needs and your budget. Basically Here you can live on a budget of $2000+ a month per person AND you can live on $500 to $1000 a month based on your preferences in accommodation, food, mode of transportation, and your choices when shopping. Regardless, both options give you full access to beaches, rivers, and the tropical beauties of the country. Just take your pick on just how sophisticated you want to be with your lifestyle here. In this video, I'll show a way to live a very modest, low-budget lifestyle. Let's begin!

My man with the 160 U.S dollar apartment is whom you need to hook up with in the Dominican Republic
Rented a vehicle for 2 weeks from a guy off the street in Cabarete which gave us a really good deal ! When we returned the car he started to point out body damages like dents scuff marks etc saying we did it and need to pay for that ! My husband took pictures and video of the vehicle damages before renting and showed him he than said Ok Ok Ok !!! Sad for him because he burned his bridges with us and lost a good customer!

It's better through an agency.

Canadian here ! Own a condo in Cabarete! Groceries are NOT cheap there ! Some stuff is 2 or 3 times more expensive
Hi Ed! Not sure if you have transportation, but to bring the grocery bill down you'll need to go shop the Dominican way (or get a good Dominican friend to shop for you i.e. vegetables, fruit, meat). Enjoy your time down here! Brgds, Mr.T
great video and advice, your guests were awesome and with great information.
Thanks Tony! I appreciate the positive feedback :) Brgds, Mr.T

Nice to see your videos again, looking at moving in the near future... DR, El Salvador and Nicaragua are on my list. Would be nice to see content with single woman in mind. Canada has become a shit show, once my daughter (18 now) is settled I plan on finding a new place to dwell. Cheers!
There are lots of traveling RUclipsr girls sharing their natural pov. Some talk finances.

Great video 👍👍
Many thanks! Brgds, Mr.T :)
Great information and well down. I wish you could break up the topics in smaller sections lie 15 minute vides each. Just a thought. Thank you
Thanks Mathew for the compliment and feedback! Splitting them would kill this channel - how?
I only afford to produce these videos, as I knock the doors of local businesses and sell adverts into them. Business owners are picky about what videos to jump into, so if I tried to split a video like this one up in three sequels, they wouldn't bother buying anything (they want juicy topics and different each time) and if no money was coming in for me the producer, well then I wouldn't bother making them! (we all have to make a living, right). Also 999 folks out of 1000 will complement, but won't donate a penny, so that won't fund anything either.
I do have other services, but my standard is that everything I do here, must be profitable otherwise it becomes "they win - I lose" and I don't operate like that, and I wouldn't have lasted down here for many years.
Also, folks who are about to make a life-changing decision of maybe moving here should find my info highly useful. Actually, they will easily watch a two-hour movie which might change nothing in their lives, so watching a 30-45 minute documentary shouldn't be an issue for those who are hungry for sharp advice. I trust you understand.
Cheers for watching! Brgds, Mr.T

I'd like to see a full video on health care in the DR. The commercial policies seem to be incredibly expensive. Are they alternatives and how much does it cost?

Sir - this video is going to bring millions of gringos to north coast :)
Great! Let them come :-)
Thank you. Very informative video.
Thanks for watching my videos! Brgds, Mr.T
awesome video, we just came from Sosua and we loved it, we did find beer to be very expensive, 100 pesos per can, and question for you. we eat a lot at the restaurants in the beach and the prices for full meals like fish and fries and coleslaw were around 800 pesos and burger were 400 to 600 pesos. are those reasonable prices ?
don't get me wrong the food was amazing.
THANK YOU.
Hi Benny! On the beach the prices are a bit higher in general compared to some of the ones up in the center. I.e. if you order a cheese burger at Schlemmerstuben (Pedro Clisante), then as of today's date, it's about RD300,- and very tasty. However with the Globalists scam going on, the prices are getting higher and higher for no other reason than to destroy the middle class, so shopping around is becoming necessary. Thanks for watching! Brgds, Mr.T
@@EducatedTraveler thank you for your response.
I'm really wanting to meet MR T I'm in cabarete for a month
Hey! Send me an email.:-)
I've been wanting to move to DR! It's been 20 years since I visited (Punta Cana where everyone goes) but i want to move to a "country" place! I can live very sumply and happily in a small place!
Any recommendations?!
Thanks for commenting and for watching! You'll naturally have many questions like most folk contemplating moving here, and to advice you on the best places "for you" then I would need to ask you several questions first. I can highly recommend you hire me as a consultant - send me an e-mail, and I'll gladly send you my price plan, cheers!
Brgds, Mr.T
Punta Cana is very expensive.
