Oh I love that you mostly keep everything in the account. We have an online bank, so getting cash back and forth is the biggest headache. This gives me confidence that this type of system will work for us too
I actually switched back to using my debit card over cash this past paycheck because all of the businesses around here are asking everyone to not use cash so the cashiers have less contact with stuff customers have touched. It's crazy and i miss getting cash but I'm willing to do it to meet the requests of the stores that are staying open.
Yes the next paycheck we did the same thing. We made the switch and it honestly scares me! Lol. I have never done the cashless budget since starting my budget journey. I am willing though to make this adjustment until this all settles.
I love how realistic your budget is some people stuff 800 and I’m like girl😂your video gives me hope. I want to start doing this but I just have a hard time putting any money into other things I just put everything to savings and sometimes it’s not helpful 😕
Yes same! After all my normal bill I often just have a few euros left. Like, I love watching cash stuffing, but with amounts of 800 to 1000 dollar it's no help for me
Honestly Thank You so much for making sense, not only were you clear and direct but you explained it beautifully. Now I can apply this to my single income budget plan, thanks again!
Oh my goodness. I have been watching videos for the past 2 months to get a better handle on my finances and each video left me with more questions. You answered every question I had down to how to know the denominations to get at the bank ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you so much. I feel ready and equipped

I LOVE your video. I am just starting to learn how to really budget and this is so helpful. I’m saving to travel and pay off debt while I build out my van to travel. Thank you for all your advice!

Aww ☺️ yes tithing is so important!! And yes I do it’s in my Etsy shop. The link should be in my description. I have many other templates and styles too. ✌️
I’m so glad you think so!! Now question, will you be doing the cash budget or maybe trying not to use cash? I’ve heard different sides to this because of what’s going on. What do you think?
Naturally Lizzie I saw one lady on RUclips use disposable gloves for her money..I’m going to see how that works for me first. If I just leave it in the bank all of this will be for nothing, I know how I am. That money will be GONE lol. Especially with a lot of things being closed having cash I can’t spend even if I wanted to will teach my discipline in the beginning so by the time things go back to normal it will be nothing new. 😊
I'm getting ready to start a cash system but have done budgets for years. I really like you paycheck budget sheet, especially where it allows you to break the cash amounts down so that when at the bank, you know what to ask for. We only get paid once a month though. Is there a way to get just the one page or do we have to buy the whole set?
How do I get this template sheet, I can’t find one that has the “Beginning Balance” box and I really live how this template looks, so please help me find one that is like this.
Oh I don’t have this shop active right now. But I do have one that has a bit of a different set up. It is a free worksheet though. If you go to my blog budgetessentialsco.com click freebies at the bottom you will see a worksheet. See if that’ll work well for you.
I have a question about taking cash out from an ATM for the envelopes. I bank with a credit union and the only way to get physical cash from this credit union is to use the ATM. This really limits me in how much money I can take out at a time and which denominations of bills I can receive. What do you think would be the easiest solution for getting the cash that I need?
I wouldn’t include existing bank balance as “income”. It’s savings. It’s the emergency fund. It shouldn’t come out unless there’s an emergency. But that’s just me.
I've been wanting to budget for awhile now and found your video.I wanted to try out your method and see if it would work for my small family. Unfortunately I see that your shop is closed on Etsy. I look forward to getting your template in the near future.
Is that paper a printable? Or did you buy that somewhere? Usually budget pages are intimidating to me but the way you broke it down, I would like to try this paper chart!
Oh thank you!!! This particular one I had in my shop, it’s not currently open now. However, I have a whole bundle very similar for free on my website. No email for opt in required. Hopefully soon I can open up shop
Naturally Lizzie my numbers don’t add up! 🤦🏽♀️ 80% of total income (rollover & paycheck). 10% for tithe of incoming income (paycheck). 10% of total income for savings/debt right??
I do say that the last 10% isn’t quite 10% lol. It’s pretty much what is remaining. So I should really say find out what 20% is of the total income and from that number subtract the tithe part and what’s leftover is for your savings or debt.
If you don’t put money towards tithe’s what else could you put it towards? I’m trying to start budgeting but I’m having a hard time figuring out realistic numbers I can’t stick with. For instance I auto deduct my rent & Car note out of my pay. So the physical amount deposited in my account doesn’t need to account for that. Do you still recommend the 80/20 for the remaining bills?
@@NaturallyLizzie yes, I put that automatically in a separate account directly out of my pay. The remaining amount is deposited into my “main” account.
I am so glad you didn’t count the money, you grabbed what you need and stuffed the envelopes. I’m getting tired of the counting out loud just takes up too much time🌻
Hi Naturally Lizzie, so glad I found you, I love the way you breakdown your income and budget, but I am still not clear, on where the money for utilities, car payments, car insurance, and credit cards etc, how are you calculating those expenses within the budget? I also want to try working with bi-weekly payck my husband is the only income, I have such struggle in trying to figure out how to budget the income. Please help me..... thank you in advance
Hey!!! Well I breakdown everything in my bill tracker, all bills including utilities. I have a whole video showing how I do that. Now when I write up the paycheck budget I just separate those bills by leaving it in the bank account. I try making sure I’m within my spending limits we want for each pay. If you still have questions just let me know! ☺️
I ❤️ this layout!!! Please make this available on your ETSY! I really like that you make tithe not only optional, but also as the first option! On my current planner page, I have to list it under "bills". Thank you for your channel! I'm going to binge today 😉
This may be a dumb question but how do you decide on how much to budget? Do you go by the minimum due on bills and split whatever is left? Or do you save a % of the bills due for the month from each check?
I had started with percentage budgeting. 80% of my income went towards all spending (bills and cash) I split my bills for each paycheck and then hopefully it is well below the 80% to allow me to allocate towards other spending. Now if I can’t live within that limit I will adjust. Still having each bill split per paycheck and figure out how much is good for my daily spending. Whatever is left over will then be applied towards a goal we have (savings or debt)
It’s called balance my checkbook. I know it’s available in the Apple Store not sure about Android. But there’s another app that’s similar called Fudget.
So I use everydollar to quickly make my monthly budget. But for my balances. I use balance my checkbook app. It allows me to write in when I set funds aside for a bill and shows me an available balance afterwards
