Me too….debt free and got T boned by a new driver, totaled my paid off car. So now, car loan :( plus others…I think once you’ve worked so hard for years, the emotional spending takes over when life throws curve balls and that’s where I’ve ended up. Step by step I’ll get back there (with a little less gazelle intensity) lol.

oh no!!!! I'm so sorry that you had that happen! Horrible! I hope you didn't sustain any injuries or anyone else involved!! With this time around in our debt payoff we definitely want to give ourselves rewards. I believe it's ok to budget fun things in your life while you are paying off debt. There is nothing wrong with doing that even though the majority of experts would disagree.

I want to say I think you are brave to come on so humbling with your truth. My husband and I, I don't feel have ever been debt free as of yet. However we were on track we haven't gone negative in our account. I use tools from TBM myself and had us on track to fixing our credit and working towards being debt free and buying a house. Do to different things we fell off the wagon and now this year our big concentration is to get back on that track. We both have good paying jobs but we DoorDash on the side to work towards that goal. The scary part is hubby not getting hours at work due to slow season of work. I am upset and embarrassed to be where we are but you dust yourself off and continue forward. God has us all in His hands. Together we will get where we want to be. Seasons come and go and how you react to it says alot.

I did a lot to budgeting to stay out of debt but when I had my first kid this past October my maturnity leave was 8 weeks partial pay and I bit the bullet and we put groceries and gas on a credit card and the debt we aquired is less than the money we lost by not working and we are slowly trying to tackle it while also having the extra expense of a whole baby lmao. Life is tough, but I know we can make it happen even in our solo low income household, it’ll just take time to make enough to pay it off

@latashagant1733 I am no longer doing a monthly budget since I’m in the budget moms planner. But I have an estimated budget amount for each category.
And yes I want to share meal plans I’m using to stick to the budget for the week!!!

GIRL!!! Whew! I feel for you Sis but it is what it is. At least you’re willing to do the work starting ASAP to get your finances in order. You’re not the first and you won’t be the last. Please don’t be embarrassed. 😊 So i was floored to hear that you move BACK to central NY!!! ??? I left CortLand Ny ( 24 miles from Ithaca and 30 from syracuse) 7 years ago and i retired to Arizona. I did not want to see another snowflake😂
Anyway, I’m just starting out with this system and i saw your video from 2 weeks ago and i subbed. I’ll be following you from now on. Where did you get your budget mom budget by paycheck book? I wanted one but it’s not on her esty page? I wish you all the luck with your new goals and I’m sure you’re going to do great!!! Besides, you have no choice. You’re a New Yorker!🥰🙏🏽✌🏽

Lizzie I have a question for you..If you got a consolidation loan those credit cards should have been paid off and you should of had 1 loan payment..I was wondering about that..Because I dont understand your consolidation loan..
Also I do budgeting, and I watch tons of budgeting videos.. I believe those who are in debt, shouldnt be paying to have nails done at a salon, or buy a $50 budgeting book. I Believe cutting out unnecessary things from a budget will get people to there goals faster..Im not directing this toward you, but I see others doing it and I comment on there videos too..Especially showing off there newly done nails..That money can be used toward something else, and they can do there nails at home..Just and example..

    • @NaturallyLizzie
      @NaturallyLizzie  10 месяцев назад

The consolidation loan could only cover up to a specific dollar amount not the full balances of the debt we had. That is why I did the balance transfer for the 2 credit cards with the zero percent interest.
Now I completely understand what you are saying cutting back on things. That is absolutely a great idea.
I for one have not been to a nail salon in over 3 years. I do my own nails and my own pampering. The expenses of me doing my own nails and things is what I pay for and is important to me.
We cut what seems best for us to give up. With our move we are now able to save over $400 on expenses!! So that is what we are allocating towards future spending and debt.

You are allowed to make the decisions that you choose for your family. Life is a lifelong journey of evolution. No mistakes. It's lessons that are learned. The evolution is what you do with that information that you learn.
I'm not one of those people that gives Dave Ramsey so much credit. He is dust and imperfect just like us all. I believe ALL wisdom comes from God and He will use whoever and whatever to get the information that you need to you. Be that people, donkeys, or rocks.
Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
    Numbers 22:28
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
    Luke 19:40-44
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
