Y'know, even though he's an assassin and essentially a serial killer, it's kinda hard to dislike this guy.
He has the butler look, a perfectly vertical scar, his own personal code of conduct and honor, his own theme song, skills befitting a one-man army, and impeccable mental strength. The dude has CLASS.
I think that scar is just the zipper of mask he's wearing
Agree. Not forgetting the fact that he De Killer is nobles who put their trust in their clients.
And also the idea of an assassin who will make a client that betrays his trust his next target is pretty unique
I think he’s easily one of the smartest characters in the series
Also, he doesn't like the idea of framing someone else. Professionals has standard.

Thing is, during the trial of Matt Engarde, the Police and Edgeworth brokered a deal with De Killer, calling him in as a special witness. But, you know, he is an assassin, so they used a remote communicator to perform two way communication with the guy. He can't exactly afford to be seen lest he be arrested on the spot.
It's pretty cool how Shelly uses items to display his emotions.

aren't calling cards left before the crime? Like they're more of a warning. DeKiller's cards are left after he's committed the crime to let people know he's the one who did the killing. So it's more of a business card I think.

I never played alot of the edgeworth games sadly but i wonder why shelly now wears his emblem, seems really odd.
De Killer is basically the Team Rocket of this universe; always in an obvious diguise WHICH YOU SHOULD TELL ITS THEM FROM A MILE AWAY.

While he knows about the pink shell, he didn't see him face-to-face. Also, how can he be sure it is really De Killer, and not just some random person whose choice of clothing is odd (and besides, what kind of professional assassin would wear their own symbol in public, even if he does)?

Well, the problem was, no one actually KNEW what he looked like. Even before when he was playing as the Butler at his Base, and as a Waiter/room service in the Hotel.
The only one who HAS seen his face however, was Phoenix himself. However, he hasn't called in to bring justice to Shelly. I have a feeling that Shelly will be called upon by Phoenix when the time is right... Sometimes, the truth can lead to a path that is dangerous...

Guys, Miles never actually SAW De Killer during the Engarde case. He only heard his voice through the radio. Perhaps he saw him as Matt's "butler" while investigating, but he was never expressly told that De Killer used that disguise. Miles would have no way of putting the face to the man.

If you would use this sprite of the guard, it would look kinda funny

Law Enforcement Agencies and officers only manage to catch glimpses through the calling card and whatever means of indirect or long-distance communication he has set up.
Plus, the events of *Farewell, My Turnabout* were a year before the events of *Trials and Tribulations*, so it's not unusual that the idea Edgeworth couldn't recognize the noble assassin standing in front of him, Shell symbol or not.

Edit: For anyone griping about Miles Edgeworth not recognizing him immediately, De Killer outright points out that they had spoken before but their encounter was their first face to face meeting.

I recorded both screens. Then, I used 2 video tracks on Sony Vegas. One for the left screen, and one for both screens on the right side. Then I used Track Motion to make them like this.

Okay, one issue: how likely is it that two people would both wear a solid red raincoat?
JakeNStuff pretty likely actually, a lot of raincoats are made red so they would be more visible in case of extreme rain that would obstruct view
IMO both being SOLID red is still kind of unlikely, because there is also yellows and greens useful in that standard from my knowledge, and sometimes they are designed a specific way and other random factors, but its a game, so whatever.
Two people out of more than two hundred? From my experience participating outdoor concerts, you will find at least one per 50 people.

Seeing you do cover the Ace Attorney games a lot, I was curious if you'd tried the more recent patch this year. I'm currently having an issue with DeSmuME where upon transitioning to the save screen after this specific part the game will lock up. It seems to do it when I opt to save ingame as well. I've never had an issue with in game saves on this emulator and I've tried several different ROMs on other sites. If you could help I'd much appreciate it guy.
