Oh goodness, after so many videos, I found the video I needed. I made a practice wrap skirt out of sale cotton material and it didn't have pockets. I wanted to make it out of linen and add pockets and I couldn't figure out how to add the pockets because I wanted to use the serger to make it stronger. Perfect!!!!
I've always serged "air" when I do the "curve" - you make it look so easy and now I see what I was doing wrong - I was over turning the curve. The "gentle" curve is the way to go!! Thanks Stephanie - this was really helpful!
Fabulous tutorial, and your attention to detail is a great example, especially placing the project so that the camera angle is correct for the viewer (even though you have to work backward to do that) - the way it would appear if the person viewing the video would be working on it. This makes the video very professionall: It's the way I was taught to do instructional videos in grad school. And thank you for explaining how to press!
You’re a very noticeable girl. A pleasure to listen to. I’ll try the pockets, and yoga band. Probably going to mess up good though. lol nice personality. ❤👍
I like pockets in everything but my satisfaction with my work in this regard has been “hit and miss”. I see the value here in tossing directions and perfecting your technique! Thanks so much!
After struggling with my serger to get pockets done for a dress, I finally came to RUclips for some help and this video made it so much easier!! I wish I’d seen this before I started!
Thank you so much for showing us how to sew a pocket on the searcher that was so awesome please keep posting all your beautiful videos we love you too and have a wonderful day
Wonderful tutorial. I can't wait to try it. You really helped explain the steps in a format that is quick, easy to understand an in the perfect amount of steps.
Wonderful job. You were very straightforward and you did a great job explaining each step. This is truly fantastic. I would love to see many more of these. Thanks
Stephanie. Thank you for this great tutorial. You explained it so well and the camera angles were great. I have a serger that I am so reluctant to use. I have been using it for straight seems only. I would love to see more videos like this one.
I’m new to serging & really struggled trying to make the pocket curve. I was sewing the seam of flannel PJ pants. Was it because the flannel doesn’t stretch? Is that why it was so difficult to sew a curve?
Hi Gina, it doesn’t have to have stretch. You just need to turn it as you serge, and go slow. Maybe practice on some scrap fabric? I think once you figure it out, it will be worth the effort. Good luck!! 🥰

The snip is a top tip Thank You 🙏 ❤️
Great video thank you. I’d never thought of going straight ahead and serging them on rather than sew first then serge. 👏🏼 x
