Gavin is in my opinion the best drummer in the world right now. He's a drummer in a band, not a soloist who has a band playing with him. It's the little things that makes him great, like laying back on a cross stick while the sax plays his solo. Gavin is supposed to be the center of this, the main focus of what's happening, but he's humble enough to know when to lay back and let someone else have the spotlight. He's not back there having a seizure trying to impress everyone. He knows when to play and WHEN NOT to play which is a lost art to most drummers today.

@@joelyjamz I think what impresses me the most is that he can do all these ridiculous things, but it never seems like he's showing off. It's always within the context of the song, and sometimes even kind of subtle, despite the impressive complexity.
