How fast this episode was out surprised me, but i have to say it moved me to tears that Rozzette teacher loved Tan Wei Wei performance. Literally moved to tears of pure joy
Only performance in the season so far, to gave me goosebumps. I didn't like the way they say the production adds value, like oh it's a good song choice that fits her. It's her work, she created it.. And the thing is, considering how many Artists have done the Chinese with modern and western music kind of thing, no one has done it like she did. She's truly a pioneer with this type of Chinese folk, kind of rock too genre, but interestingly much heavier on the traditional Chinese side, especially that what I can only assume is a regional accent she uses. I watched that performance on repeat immediately , because it wasn't just good and epic it was eye opening, even thought I've seen her similar work years ago in another show. I remember CuiJian, known by many to be the father of Chinese rock, to say that her performance was a master class to him, because even he never expected anyone to infuse Chinese folk the way she does, and I totally agree.
I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully Faouzia sang in Mandarin. I couldn't stop listening to her version. It's actually the first time I've found myself replaying a Mandarin song by a non-Mandarin speaker. It's truly awesome!
Kudos to Naying for a comeback performance even in sickness. Kudos to Faouzia for hard learning and gave a wonderful rendition of a Mandarin song Kudos to Yellow for a beautiful creative take on an old song Kudos to Tan weiwei for the best live stage performance this week. Kudos to Chante for a wonderful rendition of queen Tina Turner This week was the best so far.

I must agree with JKai 😊Faouzia did sounded like GEM in terms the way she copy and pasted GEM's pronunciation and the tone. I wonder how well could Faouzia cover a Cantonese song. Cantonese is so tough to speak and sing. So far, from non-native speakers, only the older generation singers from Taiwan can properly do a Cantonese song. These days, Zhou Shen and Shan Yichun does it pretty good but still not as well as those older singers.
I don't think she copied her tone. I think their tones are naturally similar. As for the pronunciation, well... GEM's first dialect isn't Mandarin, it's Cantonese... so that's why they both might sound the same.

Good analysis by the 3 of you. I loved week 8 episode. I like Sitar energy and synergy-zing old instruments with new. Loved Faouzia covering GEM in Mandarin, thanks to her, now I'm listening to GEM. she's good artist. her lyrics are wonderful. Faouzia learned how to sing by ear, she never took lessons. and that's how she can sing Mandarin by using her ears. knowing Arabic, she can pronounce just about any word. IMO Yellow (which I like a lot as an artist) ranked low because the original song is very damn slow & it used to put me to sleep. Yellow took it 3 notches lower and made it like swimming in molasses. singing the song faster would've been a better choice. also by sitting down for 3rd time and doing the same style, got old in judges eyes. He's got to bring it every week.

Suen has this relationship with Alan Tam. I think Alan gave him some help during one of Suen's lowest point in his career so I think it is his tribute to Alan Tam on singing the original Cantonese version in the beginning.
I had a similar reaction. When Faouzia sang mandarin, and her pronunciation is that accurate, I thought for sure she'd be the first, before I even watched the other performance. I was watching the single performance clips and I watched her first. Because not only was her singing good, that pronunciation is really impressive, it really makes a difference even thought people often tell me it isn't. But I mean compared to the one who sang "All by Myself" it's just night and day. I don't know if in her country English isn't like a popular language that even when it's not a language in your country you learn. phrase or too just from the media and all. I mean even other Chinese singers who don't speak English are often not that bad, and it still bothers me, this was just terrible, it just feels like she didn't practice the lyrics enough. The entire song felt so pointless and meaningless, other than that high note, which people always look forward to when someone challenges this song. I don't know about you people, but personally for me, just wishing a few seconds in, because of her pronunciation where she's either missing a few letter form several words or add extra on some words, I feel like im just dreading along waiting for that high not because I do not care at all about everything else. Ghost sang the song when she was on The Voice a long time ago when she was really young, I didn't like it then but compared to this...I think in some sense, you could say maybe she doesn't respect the opportunity enough, or may be she did, but it seems a little self absorbed like she's there to just show that high note. That's just how I feel, I could give 0 f how technically capable she is as a singer. Anyway, I thought Faouzia is definitely at the top probably first for that, because of how successful she is with a mandarin song, I mean I was so looking forward to Jessie J trying a full mandarin song, but even she didn't do it, they just add a mandarin phrase into an English song. But when TanWeiWei comes a long( 2nd performance I watched) I just thought hands down this is no.1 for me tonight, and I don't have to see the other performance to say that. Because with her, it's not just singing, the music she makes that Chinese folk fused with kind of rock, is something many artist whose tried to do the east meet west type of music has never really done before. I know in such songs, they usually use traditional Chinese instrument to give that Chinese flavour to the song, but the way its being used here, it actually makes it sound like it's actually traditional music, but kind of sped up and added some western instrument to make it modern instead of the other way round, I'm saying the Chine folk element is much stronger, while at the same time the vibe makes it modern. Not to mention the accent she uses which I'm guessing is a regional accent. I think overall, that and her singing, her artistry has accomplished more, than the other contestant has. I mean HuangXuan has that artistry but it's not really something that in a sense he invented that's uniquely his, but for TanWeiWei this kind of music is kind of new and she's the pioneer. To say the production adds a lot of point to me, is a little unfair, because the music is also her work. If it were a good song that really fits her, yeah we could say it's a good song choice, but it's more than that. I've actually seen her do this type of music while watching another show years ago, where there was sandy lam, cui jian and liu huan, and I remember thinking then, wow, she's such a great artist, I wish she had that stuff when she was in Singer previously, and wonder how it would be received compared tot he rest. I actually really like Chante's performance too, such a solid 80s-90s vibe, but again TanWeiWei has the X factor to it. I think the fact that Rozette reacts that way to TanWeiWei's performance inspire of how impressed and inspired she is by faouzia, and even have to think more than twice, after her gleeful reaction enjoying to chante, I think says it all. For me TanWeiWei is first, but faouzia and chante is tied in 2 &3 because they are good in a different way, personally I enjoy chante and her song more, preference wise, but what faouzia accomplished deserve a lot of credit. So I guess chante is my no.2 but just by a tad. Yellow has been a performer I look forward too every episode but this song, I'm just too familiar with, and I really like oldies, so it's not for me, I don't like the music rearrangement.

對我來說，黃宣每周都是最吸引我的點就是他都能端出不一樣的菜，其他人就比較明顯是去"比賽"的(雖然這節目的名義就是比賽)。就像老師說的，黃宣著實就是個藝術家，他可能真的不管會不會被淘汰，所以寧願每周都讓觀眾有新鮮感，也不要讓自己進入作業感。而且老實說，要讓一個人從不喜歡一首歌到想要翻唱那首歌的能力真的就是靠天賦，而黃宣就擁有這項天賦。
其他人是工作，而黃宣是興趣，很單純
就这还不一样。。。换汤不会换药，腻到爆。

@@everylifematters1234 汪蘇瀧的唱功在裡面大概是墊底了，不過因為正是如此，所以對於其他唱功更好的選手我們就會有更多濾鏡，因為我們期待他們能給我們更多東西，有或沒有大致上大家都聽得出來。相較之下，汪蘇瀧只要不出大槌就是非常安全。他的定位很尷尬，但卻也因為這個定位跑到現在這個階段，對他的期待不高，只要穩穩得對他來說便是好。

凡希亞這次最驚喜，這次唱中文歌沒想到挺準的，而且感覺她處理中文歌很好，有强弱表現，有情緒遞進，後面爆發部分有一種女王降臨的感覺，我私心亞亞第一名，第二名給那英，情感充沛，有種黎明冲破黑暗的感覺
主要是原唱发声也很含混，所以Fouzia也能这么含混的发音混过去。当然她这一期确实唱得挺好的，也贡献了一个漂亮的F5 Belting高音，我原来以为她唱不到这么高的。

@@fancyleaf 所以你沒有聽過Faouzia的歌曲嗎? 在她十九歲時的Tears of Gold (Stripped) 早已經能belting a F5, 在她二十歲時版本就做過了更精準的F5 full belt. 其實一般歌手要belting C5就已經非常困難了, 那絕對不是單純唱唱falsetto那麼簡單. Faouzia從來沒有受過歌唱訓練, 一切都她自學的.

我也覺得凡唱得很標準很好，但老實說我想法跟老師不一樣，副歌后的那段轉音沒有鼻音後，整首歌的味道完全都沒了哈哈，還是比較愛gem的唱法

譚維維真的超棒！但老師實在是高估了人們的審美🤣網上還有一堆人說譚維維只會唱高音，還有人說這首歌難聽呢😂😂我說歌手2024目前為止最喜歡這首中文歌也有人噴😂

凡西亞是深喉嚨發音，鄧是壓在鼻前靠頭腔，一個深厚，一個亮扁輕。國語唱鄧紫棋的口音是真的抓住了，因為鄧的普通話有點大舌頭

覺得這集的講評非常精闢，杰凱和老師對於袁婭維的講評真的就是我內心想的，曾經非常喜歡袁婭維在歌手翻唱的幾首歌，但在b站看多袁婭維的表演發現就像老師說的非常兩極，而且也不穩定，音準有著極大的問題，最讓我詬病的也是袁婭維太喜歡賣弄自己的音樂審美，但天生就沒有律動感，包括那些突兀的轉音，加進去的假笑都非常做作，而黃宣是釋放藝術性和渾然天成的律動，差太多了。
泷泷始终都摆脱不了发音（口音）的难关，总感觉是一个稍俱唱功的小朋友在唱歌，他应该在这方面多下功夫练习，才能跳脱而有所突破，必竟竞赛型的演唱，想 从粉丝声量取得稳固很辛苦。 [听见下雨的声音]除了周杰伦，还有魏如昀,A-Lin ,韩国的金钟国，[中国新歌声2]周杰伦战队合唱,关诗敏,刘子绮～都有唱过，可以作一期对比，既然老师这么 喜欢这首歌。
不只唱功，连肢体动作都非常像小学生第一次上舞台表演的风范。。。（重点是，每首慢歌都是一模一样的动作）

I must agree with JKai 😊Faouzia did sounded like GEM in terms the way she copy and pasted GEM's pronunciation and the tone. I wonder how well could Faouzia cover a Cantonese song. Cantonese is so tough to speak and sing. So far, from non-native speakers, only the older generation singers from Taiwan can properly do a Cantonese song. These days, Zhou Shen and Shan Yichun does it pretty good but still not as well as those older singers.
I don't think she copied her tone. I think their tones are naturally similar. As for the pronunciation, well... GEM's first dialect isn't Mandarin, it's Cantonese... so that's why they both might sound the same.
@@minorafarouk3065 I just think she is really good at copying sound. She sounds so much like the CD version of the song. Last time Jessie J sang a Mandarin song and it had a heavy Westerner accent.

Loved Faouzia covering GEM in Mandarin, thanks to her, now I'm listening to GEM. she's good artist. her lyrics are wonderful.
Faouzia learned how to sing by ear, she never took lessons. and that's how she can sing Mandarin by using her ears.
knowing Arabic, she can pronounce just about any word.
IMO Yellow (which I like a lot as an artist) ranked low because the original song is very damn slow & it used to put me to sleep.
Yellow took it 3 notches lower and made it like swimming in molasses. singing the song faster would've been a better choice.
also by sitting down for 3rd time and doing the same style, got old in judges eyes. He's got to bring it every week.
這期歌手的演唱很精采，但可惜現場投票黃宣最後一名，看來下一期如果沒拿前4名，總分過低的話，很可能就要被淘汰了。但我相信黃宣只要繼續堅守自己的音樂理念，還是有許多喜愛他，懂他音樂的人會繼續支持、關注他的。
譚維維這期演唱真是氣勢磅礡，將民族與流行融合的很好，歌手唱功也是很絕頂，能拿第1名也是無話說，下一期要表演唱什麼，能否依舊拿第1，就也是另一大看點。
袁婭維能多調適好身體與嗓子，這麼高壓兩頭跑節目唱歌表演，真是有點令人擔心，因此沒有辦法把演唱練唱或改編到很好，很可惜，這也是她自己的一大課題與挑戰。
亞亞把中文歌唱得太標準太好聽了，自己甚至覺得比鄧紫琪還好聽，因為鄧紫琪演唱的鼻音太多太重，而亞亞也飆出很厲害的高音，完全不輸鄧紫琪，這節目真是太有梗，這會令很多原本喊鄧紫琪來歌手救場的人，現在都覺得似乎也沒差了，因為有了亞亞。
接下來換莫莫的壓力山大了，有亞亞唱這麼好聽又標準的中文歌，莫莫如果唱中文歌，一定會被比較，真是很難為她了。
我想起小的时候，看到那些歌词觉得很美，经常在笔记本里抄写，在写情书的时候也会加一两句自己喜欢的歌词，所以听中文歌对歌词的了解真的很重要，不知道有没有情书里抄歌词的朋友，一起说说！

作为一个普通听众，一直觉得乐队们的现场太震撼了，有些歌手的准确和技巧反而感觉特别有距离，更喜欢谭维维这种，像火车迎面而来的感觉，类似比如草东，痛仰啊，哇老师对乐队的夏天有兴趣么
Suen has this relationship with Alan Tam. I think Alan gave him some help during one of Suen's lowest point in his career so I think it is his tribute to Alan Tam on singing the original Cantonese version in the beginning.

虽然孙楠的粤语有点儿不标准， 但面对他高超的歌技和真诚的表演，我们不会把注意力放在他的广东话上，女主评这里一句话准确的评价了孙楠的表演：“他的声音很棒， 无论如何都会大放异彩”
我也不懂为啥两位对孙楠的广东话这么挑剔。作为粤语母语的我觉得听起来没有这么不堪，副歌部分准确度还是不错的。特别是那个时代的韵味，粤语母语的年轻歌手都不一定能做到
被楠哥打动了，他说周三才确定下来，练的时间都很短，就为了送给他歌迷的。我喜欢很多粤语歌歌手，我觉得他口音没有那么不堪，愿意唱粤语歌，对粤语歌的推广和发展是一件好事。这两位粤语警察也是够了

感觉他唱粤语那段反而很真诚，唱会普通话又油起来，他那些技巧在不熟的发音下用不出来反而显得真诚的多。
@@jeninhuang5131 我不懂什么叫油，油是很主观的，没办法用统一标准衡量，如果孙楠唱功差，我相信没人说他油。他唱的越好，大家越说他炫技，他高标准要求自己，我觉得也没什么错吧？如果说他风格变化不多，其他歌手除了黄宣，大家风格都没什么太大变化，我觉得他这次的表现足够打动我，声音干净，通透性强，很有诚意。
I had a similar reaction. When Faouzia sang mandarin, and her pronunciation is that accurate, I thought for sure she'd be the first, before I even watched the other performance. I was watching the single performance clips and I watched her first. Because not only was her singing good, that pronunciation is really impressive, it really makes a difference even thought people often tell me it isn't. But I mean compared to the one who sang "All by Myself" it's just night and day. I don't know if in her country English isn't like a popular language that even when it's not a language in your country you learn. phrase or too just from the media and all. I mean even other Chinese singers who don't speak English are often not that bad, and it still bothers me, this was just terrible, it just feels like she didn't practice the lyrics enough. The entire song felt so pointless and meaningless, other than that high note, which people always look forward to when someone challenges this song. I don't know about you people, but personally for me, just wishing a few seconds in, because of her pronunciation where she's either missing a few letter form several words or add extra on some words, I feel like im just dreading along waiting for that high not because I do not care at all about everything else. Ghost sang the song when she was on The Voice a long time ago when she was really young, I didn't like it then but compared to this...I think in some sense, you could say maybe she doesn't respect the opportunity enough, or may be she did, but it seems a little self absorbed like she's there to just show that high note. That's just how I feel, I could give 0 f how technically capable she is as a singer.
Anyway, I thought Faouzia is definitely at the top probably first for that, because of how successful she is with a mandarin song, I mean I was so looking forward to Jessie J trying a full mandarin song, but even she didn't do it, they just add a mandarin phrase into an English song. But when TanWeiWei comes a long( 2nd performance I watched) I just thought hands down this is no.1 for me tonight, and I don't have to see the other performance to say that. Because with her, it's not just singing, the music she makes that Chinese folk fused with kind of rock, is something many artist whose tried to do the east meet west type of music has never really done before. I know in such songs, they usually use traditional Chinese instrument to give that Chinese flavour to the song, but the way its being used here, it actually makes it sound like it's actually traditional music, but kind of sped up and added some western instrument to make it modern instead of the other way round, I'm saying the Chine folk element is much stronger, while at the same time the vibe makes it modern. Not to mention the accent she uses which I'm guessing is a regional accent. I think overall, that and her singing, her artistry has accomplished more, than the other contestant has. I mean HuangXuan has that artistry but it's not really something that in a sense he invented that's uniquely his, but for TanWeiWei this kind of music is kind of new and she's the pioneer. To say the production adds a lot of point to me, is a little unfair, because the music is also her work. If it were a good song that really fits her, yeah we could say it's a good song choice, but it's more than that. I've actually seen her do this type of music while watching another show years ago, where there was sandy lam, cui jian and liu huan, and I remember thinking then, wow, she's such a great artist, I wish she had that stuff when she was in Singer previously, and wonder how it would be received compared tot he rest.
I actually really like Chante's performance too, such a solid 80s-90s vibe, but again TanWeiWei has the X factor to it. I think the fact that Rozette reacts that way to TanWeiWei's performance inspire of how impressed and inspired she is by faouzia, and even have to think more than twice, after her gleeful reaction enjoying to chante, I think says it all.
For me TanWeiWei is first, but faouzia and chante is tied in 2 &3 because they are good in a different way, personally I enjoy chante and her song more, preference wise, but what faouzia accomplished deserve a lot of credit. So I guess chante is my no.2 but just by a tad. Yellow has been a performer I look forward too every episode but this song, I'm just too familiar with, and I really like oldies, so it's not for me, I don't like the music rearrangement.
