I stayed at moon palace in cancun and it was the best vacation of my life. There are 4 palace resorts next to each other with a bus that comes every 15 min. If you don't want to eat at the half dozen restaurants at one resort or don't like the day activity or night time show the hop on the bus and go to one of the other 3 resorts. All 4 resorts are within the same gated property. The food and service were top notch. No matter how long you're there, it isn't long enough. The only negative is they don't have crystal clear water like you see in your cozumel videos. You're gonna have a blast!
You should do a video on what region to stay in when traveling to Mexico based on what's important to different people. I think your experience, having stayed all over, would lend well to that.
Thanks soooooooooo much as always, James! 🙂 I just wanted you to know that I have officially allotted the next two years of my life to solo traveling, and you are one of the foremost inspirations in catalyzing this decision for me. You've instilled a lot of meaningful insight in me that I'll always be grateful for, and I know I'm far from alone here in expressing this sentiment. So thanks soooooooo much! 🙂😊
So glad I stumbled across your videos! Thanks for doing them. On Cozumel, the Palace resort is a favourite (I'm also a member of their travel club), but Grand Park Royal Cozumel is our new favourite for the price, you cannot beat the view from the rooms, jungle-like. It also has a tiny beach for easy, sand access to the water. It's beside the cruise ship port but we loved watching the ships come in. Average food which we were fine with, until we can get to another Palace resort for pampering with their well-known spas, incredible food and rooms.
good video, i actually stayed at the fiesta americana is cozumel, arrived at night 8 pm and left the next morning, cancelled the reservation, because there was basically no beach no beds no service at the beach, like you said, the pool was only one and very small that it was sooo full and overwhelming. so we went to the westin and it was amazing, food and drinks were good, beach was amzing and good for snorkling. so you were pretty spot on. thanks
Stayed at all the places except Wyndham and this is spot ON! Was hoping to keep the Westin more of a secret but much respect! Now you’re in Jamaica you need to check out the moon palace there! Kind of like the Westin as far as being smaller and quiet. Love the grand moon in Cancun but Jamaica’s was better because of the size. I hate taking a golf cart everywhere because it’s impossible to walk!
Very good and precise review. Some friends recomended me presidente intercontinental cozumel, perhaps some other time you'll get the chance to visit there. Good Job
El Presidente is not AI and is very expensive ($5 for a coke for example). It is the nicest hotel / resort on the island so if budget isn't of any concern, you should definitely stay there.
Fiesta is ok as I live like next door. Our snorkeling off of the Money Bar beach is awesome. The Landmark apartments are the best, but not all-inclusive.
Would you ever consider reviewing resorts in Cuba? Just a suggestion. I've used your videos to make vacation destination decisions with my girlfriend and your reviews never disappoint. Thank you for taking the time to make these resort review videos.
Excellent video James! Don't let the Cruise Passengers with the day pass at Secrets turn you off to cruising. Seems like it was one group who made it bad for everyone!
Thanks, was considering Cozumel Palace but may go for the Westin instead. You don't seem to be into snorkeling, what's the best hotel in the Cancun region for snorkeling from the beach?
You must not have visited El Cozumel Beach Resort next to Westin. I would love to hear your thoughts. We stayed there and your review makes me happy I did - I took for granted things like - it was quiet, we had a beach and good snorkeling right there. I hated that the staff allowed people to 'reserve' beach chairs just with a water bottle tossed on them - so like at 1am before going to bed people would 'reserve' six beach chairs. When we go down at 9am, none are available. Which means I will never go back and I think they lose a lot of customers with that allowed.
Oooo-oooohh…I’ll take that parrot/toucan drink at the Westin…tall, blue yellow and red, looks delicious…I’ll just sit near by and try your nibbles ☺️☺️. I’m small; I’m sure I’ll fit in a pocket somewhere 😆😆😁.
Intercontinental (or EL Presidente as it's known locally) is not AI and is, by far, the most expensive hotel/resort on the island. Allegro is the exact opposite (cafeteria grade food). Iberostar has the best beach out of all the AIs until you get to the water where it turns ironshore. It is the best resort on the island for kids activities and is the closest to the main reefs for Scuba. Food is decent, not great / not bad. Occidental is just OK. Tiny beach, meh food, really spread out (for a Cozumel AI) and no ocean view rooms.
Presidente looks wonderful but doesn’t have AI though, wish they would reconsider that!! … and it’s hard to beat that almost every single room is ocean front at the Westin…
Hands down best travel channel on RUclips.
Doing the hard work of ranking resorts so we don’t have to 😊! Great video as always. Thanks James!

I appreciate your take on these Cozumel properties man!
Appreciate the content brother
Westin had the best views and water, wow😍
Great review
So perfectly scored !!❤❤❤🏝️
Great videos! I have to say how hard this has made it for me to decide where 4 adults should stay in Cozumel!!
Great list! Thanks James
Best reviewer! Have you gone to atelier?

Woohoo! Will you review beach palace and grand moon palace? Both in Cancun…

He's American. Americans can not travel to Cuba for vacation. Would need a work visa
Excellent video James!

First... Yes! 😎
Curious, what does that get you? 🤔 😂😂

No iberostar??
James any update on the web page or Patreon to help support your adventures?
Perhaps you should’ve tried the, Occidental, Iberostar, Intercontinental or the Allegro.

Ok...it's Weston. 😊
Palace has good food
would you say Cozumel is best to travel to via cruise essentially?
Absolutely not if you are a diver. Cozumel has some of the best and healthiest reefs in the world. If you don't dive... maybe?

NUMBER 6 SERVES SLOP FOR FOOD
That Wydham is a dump. We checked in and left after 2 days and went to another hotel.
The westin is a fine hotel but the presidente intercontinental is a much better place. Stayed at both.
I only stayed at the president intercontinental and loved it .. not sure about the Westin , was not convinced
Presidente looks wonderful but doesn’t have AI though, wish they would reconsider that!! … and it’s hard to beat that almost every single room is ocean front at the Westin…
secrets food is lousy too
When you go to stay at the Palace Resorts, hit me up I can probably save you a few bucks.
Presidente is better than all these lol.
