Old school simply nailogical videos made me believe I could do nail art. I can't draw or even make a straight line, but I can use nail vinyls and dab, dab, dab with a sponge.

I use gel polish exclusively and I can tell you, the sponge trick still 100% works, people are just making this harder for themselves

I personally find using a gel brush to blend it easier than a sponge

I actually used a lot of your tricks when I painted my plant pots in my garden.
My endangered Siling Labuyo pepper plant (Philippine wild bird chili) got reciprocal gradient flames on the pot, and the sponge trick worked better for transparent glitter acrylic paint for my tea plant pot.

I am so happy that some things just never change. There's still constants in this world. Our girl is still getting her bevy while recording.
I will always be a gel user, especially so I don’t have to wait for my nails to dry, but I will definitely look into vinyls/reinforcer stickers as guidelines after watching this. I believe this method is way easier with gel polish.
I just discovered semicured nail strips and they are a GAMECHANGER for my weak ass nails
When it comes to doing the ombre, lots of layers help to build up the pigment with an even fade. Don't be discouraged if it takes a while, and don't use too much otherwise clean up is a bastard. A good thick top coat over everything helps to smooth out minor texture.
I love how you’re just being yourself, having fun and doing what brings you joy. 💜 This made me laugh because, I don’t have your nail polish and I do bite my nails (been trying to stop so I can start painting nails again). 🌈 Keep doing you and never stop sparkling~! As for all the people who said it’s too much holo makes me sad how dull or grey their lives must be not wanting more color.
I'd suggest maybe painting your nails as a way to stop biting. If you want to keep them pretty for longer you will want to resist the urge to bite them. Just a thought!
I was a nail biter FOREVER! It was hard to quit. I started going to a salon and getting shellac so it made my nails pretty and thick so I wouldn't bite them. Especially since I spent actual money on them then I didn't want to ruin it. Just buying nail polish didn't help because in my mind you get so many uses out of it that it didn't feel like a substantial enough expense. I still pick at my nails a bit so using Holo Taco Peely Base helps a lot! Good luck!
OMG IM IN YOUR SPOT. Nervous tick for me is biting my nails down until it's grotesque. ): I haven't had long nails since I was a small child. As an early birthday present, my husband bought me some Holo Taco and once I painted my little nubs, I haven't bitten them!! It's only been two weeks but it's a HUGE record for me. Looking at my sparkly purple nails and imagining them longer and prettier keeps me from biting them (though I do still bite around, no healthy I know x.x But a start!)
@@mochabearry keep up the good work! It does take time and my nails are still a bit thin and prone to breakage but they're getting stronger the more I go without biting! I just HAVE to keep them painted for that extra bit of protection.
I bite the absolute crap out of my nails. I just put fake nails on and paint those. I can't have them long though, or I am like an infant child trying to do things with my hands lol. The only time I can't bite my nails is when I have the fake nails on. Granted out of habit, I wil keep putting them up to my mouth lol. The only issue though, is you can't wear the fake nails too long is you have extremely short nails, bcuz there is a lot of shiit that will get behind the fake nail, since you have so much room back there lol. Even when I have the nails to just the tips of my fingers, that is still a lot more nail then what I have naturally. I bite my nails so bad, it's awful. I have tried many, many things to stop myself. Nothing will stop me, except for the fake nails. Until I can no longer take it, and rip them off a cpl days later 😅I wrote WAY too much...Sorry for rambling
I like that the colors are subtle but the holo makes it stand out just enough. Good stuff

I think this came out cool! It would be cool to also see 2 distinct colors of holo for the gradient and see what that does! It may be a little hard to see two holo colors in the gradient if their shade is too similar with all the refraction and rainbows, but maybe it would look cool with two very distinct holo shades that blend nicely in the middle but still hold their distinct shades on the ends 😊

When this trend came out, I thought of Cristine right away 😂 all those satisfying vinyl peels and gradient sponge dabs. I was wondering why they were hand painting the gradients too!!!
For the glitter half-and-half nails, I saw someone cover the tip of the nail and the exposed nail bed was fully painted with glitter nail polish but the person used a magnet to make the glitter move to one side of the nail then they dried the nail and uncovered the tip to do the same thing but they moved the magnet to the opposite side so that the nail bed and nail tip give that half and half look
