    Mr. Taylor, never have I heard someone explain these thing, to the point it makes sense. You are always right when you say, I think people think this when in actually it is this. Thank you for changing my game and helping me get to scratch

    So true!! Home drills helped a ton! I saw changes right away. Big thanks for posting this. In 2 buckets I hit yesterday on the range I topped just 4 balls because I was distracted ... otherwise used hip movement really effectively !

    Hello Jonathan, I've been very impressed with your videos, your knowledge and the method with which you teach. I think you have maybe the best golf instruction videos out there. Now I know you're a genius. While watching the hip rotation drill, I didn't understand the reason for the anterior pelvic tilt. I had been working on the downswing drill where you explained the certain curvature the back, which I like very much and have been working to improve on. When doing the rotation drill in applying the anterior pelvic tilt, I realized that doing that tilt put your left hip to the very back where it needs to be in order to have the correct spine bend. It blew my mind. I had been working very diligently and knew to get the correct spine bend that left hip had to be all the way back. And it's taken some effort to get it there, to remember to get it there and it's been a bit of effort. With the hip rotation in conjunction with the anterior pelvic tilt, that left hip goes immediately to the correct position with no effort on my part at all. Again you've blown my mind and risen to genius level, as far as I'm concerned. Brilliant!! As your want to say...

    Most effective communication of turn rotation sequence I've ever heard. It helped me, as a older, less flexible guy, immediately! Doing the drill often actually facilitates the strengthening of your core muscles.

    This move has proven a game changer for me esp off the tee, I'm a 3hc golfer but have always struggled with a push or hook. After watching video I went out and played with the thought of your swing and it feels so effortless and in control. Looking forward to getting into doing drills and practice so can really speed things up

      I had a round yesterday at a neighbouring golf course and struggled with pulls all day. Hit very solid just was ending up on the fairway beside. Thoughts on this? Possibly turning knees and shoulders turning to much as well ?

    I have noticed in some of the swings that I admire the most that at P5 or P6 their hips are all almost all the way open and facing target, from impact on the hips have very little movement all their work has been done. GOOD VIDEO!

    Hi Jonathan, your approach to golf teaching is superb. Drills that we can practice at home without the need of a driving range, even a club in our hands (so TVs are safe !) are of utmost utility. Thank you !

    The German word you mention, in English, it is 'proprioception' or proprioceptive sensation , the ability to sense the positioning and location as well as orientation and movement of body and its parts

    Should there be any pressure on left foot when the duck bum goes back ?

    • @JonathanTaylor63
      @JonathanTaylor63  3 года назад +1

      There shouldn't be much pressure on either foot, your trail foot is doing most of the work along with your Glutes and lower back to turn your hips at the same time as you are in free fall. This takes such a brief amount of time however that you may feel your landing and a centring of pressure on both feet.

    This seems to run contrary to your description of hip movement in a previous video where you described “perfect” hip movement. In that video you talked about moving the Left hip forward. Does this video represent a new, more centralized - and less stressful on the hips - concept of hip turn?

    Gankas wouldn’t agree with what is happening with the Right knee here and it’s not what Wolff does. His right knee stays under his right side, it doesn’t kick forward like what he is trying to show here

      I agree GG teaches a slightly different move and GG also teaches level shoulders where Jonathan Taylor teaches right shoulder down left shoulder up, around, and back. Both work well. I have found it's a matter of who communicates best to me then stick with that teaching method.
