Not really, Newey's tenure with AM starts from March 2025 when the seaso is about to start. But he will be responsible for upcoming upgrade package down the season.
I remember a quote from Coulthard when speaking about Grosjean after he Maldonado'd the whole grid in 2012 which said "There are great drivers and fast drivers". Lando is a fast driver, but almost binning it MULTIPLE times with a half minute lead isn't the sign of a great driver. I'm convinced if Oscar was in the same position, he wouldn't have done that. All Oscar needs to do now is just get as fast as Leclerc or Verstappen. If he can do that, he will break F1 I'm for sure.

2012 was more exciting season with seven diffrent race winners in seven first races and how it went to the end with the Championship, while 2013 got bit boring in the end of it how Vettel won nine times in a row to do same kind of boring domination as Verstappen did in 2023 and Hamilton mostly did from 2014 onwards.

To be honest, I wouldn't even put it past Williams, Haas or Aston to be somewhat dark horses. Not for necessarily a title battle, but being capable to interfere with the top four teams. With the ATR balances and cost cap (with more spending on facilities (plus Toyota for Haas)), I really wouldn't put it past these teams to perhaps have some meat in the game some weekends. I think 2025 will be the recreation of 2013( the last season of v8 2.4 L natural aspirated engines so all the team were focusing on next generation car, leaving the remaining victories for the cars that were already developed) so in by that I see a fight between McLaren and Ferrari, RBR will fight just for points and 3rd place in wcc, Mercedes will have a worse season, AM will fight to have points and that s it considering the following year with Honda partnership.
If Mercedes have a worst season i would go insane but at least if thath append i hope for a 2026 comback with the new rules
