Say what you will about George Russell. But credit where it’s due, the way he’s bounced back after 2023 is incredible/really impressive. He didn’t let the misfortune get to him and came back much stronger/tougher and more ruthless and seemed to not only defeat Lewis this season, but at some points seemed to be clearly stronger than Lewis. Even this season he showed incredible, champion-like resilience. When the team were bottling his races, at the next race he’d come back as strong, if not stronger than before. If the team had done a better job he could have four wins this season (Austria, Spa, Brazil and Las Vegas). Maybe even five wins depending on what was going on with his car at Silverstone.
I still think his race pace leaves a lot to be desired. Hamilton closing 20s in 20 laps in Abu Dhabi is not great for the man who is supposed to lead the team next year. Wasn't the first time Hamilton schooled Russell in tyre management and race pace this season either.
@@As-qz5lrHamilton had the faster tyres and George said after quali that he expected Lewis to be faster. And Toto said Lewis had an experimental setup after quali. And Toto then thanked George for sticking with his own experimental setup over the radio post-race.

It’s actually only Alonso scoring points regularly in the first part of the season that made us think they were the last of the top teams, but if look at the races since this summer, they've really been off the pace a lot, Alonso scoring too much point for what they are worth
Hey, congrats Rein on reaching your goal after a tough summer, but more importantly on growing your channel the way you have. I guess we both took the "safe step" of not 2x LEC and I can't regret it too much even though I probably would have ended up at around 1500 or so instead on 2219🌎, but it was my best season so far, so i'm quite happy. The streams have been fantastic and I think it is very smart that you keep the first half of them devoted to the main questions of the race weekend and wait until hour 2 to do the individual team analysis as lets face it, most of us are not interested in other team problems. One question: do you think the game developers might change the price algorithm now that they know we have cracked it?
Next season, instead of driver rankings, you should predict their average finishing position. Take their total placements and divide it by 24. That'll give a lot more accurate result and be a little different from the norm.

Kevin (15)
If you took away the first 6 races of the season, Sergio Perez scored 49 points across the later 18 Grand Prix of the season. By comparison Pierre Gasly scored 42 points across the same 18 races IN AN ALPINE. Max Verstappen in the other Red Bull scored 301 points during the same period. There is no excuse for Sergio's performances this year. He should of been at least 4th in the standings, given the car he was driving, and given what Max was able to do in the same car. Red Bull should off been Constructors Championship, and they are not because of Sergio's performance. He went out 7 times in Q1 this year, in one of the fastest cars on the grid. How he still has his seat is beyond anyone's comprehension.
Next year you should do 3, 2, 1 points and 0 if you miss by more than 3 places. Or at least 2, 1 for nearest but 0 if more off than x places. It will highlight the one of you being nearest, and not give an random advantage to one of you if you both are way off. 🤔
These guys man, they said Lance Stroll is should finish in the top 10 because it’s a top 5 team, they minute is switches to Alonso they admit the car wasn’t top 5 and start glazing him. Just the tiniest bit of consistency would be appreciated

Personally I think Gene Haas might’ve started investing in his F1 team when it was announced Stewart-Haas in NASCAR was shutting down at the end of the year (granted he’s still going to own a NASCAR team in the Haas Factory Team but still I think that’s what happened because every time I ventured into F1 Haas was memed on this year now they finished 15th and 11th I believe that Gene started Investing in his F1 team a bit while waiting for the Nascar season to wrap up so he could prepare his new Nascar team next year)
The last driver that underperformed so bad in the WDC car was Jos Verstappen and look how good is his soon , so Checo Jr is going to destroy everyone in F1 in 20 years

I really don't understand why you only count the drivers starting the season. They are the only ones you predicted, so the rest shoul not be put in consideration. Take Zhou for example: he finished 20th with bottas and sargeant behind him, so a net "18"... much better to compare

1. Max (1*)
2. Lando (2*)
3. Charles (3*)
4. Checo (8)
5. Carlos (5*)
6. George (6*)
7. Oscar (4)
8. Lewis (7)
9. Fernando (9*)
10. Lance (10
11. Yuki (12)
12. Daniel (17)
13. Pierre (10)
14. Alex (16)
15. Esteban (14)
16. Valtteri (22)
17. Nico (11)
18. Logan (23)
19. Guanyu (20)
20. Kevin (15)
Surprisingly 20/24 drivers scored points this season. Pretty wild
"As the real Charles Leclerc fan..." I thought Matt was going to teleport to Tommy's room and suplex him.
I believe that if two or more people finish with the same amount of points the one with less races should be ranked higher.
Doohan, with only one start, matched Bottas’s points haul for the entire season.
1 minute ago is crazy
Do a ranking of all the races in the 2024 season
Perez is there because Max wants him there
omg i just saw the negative space 2 in logan's logo.
Good luck trying to predict next season. If either of you score as well as this year I'll be amazed.
My predictions before the start of the season was
1 Verstappen
2 Norris
3 Perez
4 Leclerc
5 Piastri
6 Sainz
7 Russell
8 Hamilton
9 Alonso
10 Albon
11 Ricciardo
12 Bottas
13 Stroll
14 Tsunoda
15 Gasly
16 Ocon
17 Zhou
18 Hulkenberg
19 Magnussen
20 Sargeant
Not great but not that bad!
tbf Matt said Doohan would never get the Alpine seat.
Tommy was cooking at first.
Then Matt stole his fire and cooked Tommy himself
Personally I think Gene Haas might’ve started investing in his F1 team when it was announced Stewart-Haas in NASCAR was shutting down at the end of the year (granted he’s still going to own a NASCAR team in the Haas Factory Team but still I think that’s what happened because every time I ventured into F1 Haas was memed on this year now they finished 15th and 11th I believe that Gene started Investing in his F1 team a bit while waiting for the Nascar season to wrap up so he could prepare his new Nascar team next year)
Should have added this to the regular season prediction championship
You should award like 5 points for a bang on prediction, for the bottom 10, given how unfrequent they are
The last driver that underperformed so bad in the WDC car was Jos Verstappen and look how good is his soon , so Checo Jr is going to destroy everyone in F1 in 20 years
For each driver the points should be the difference between the predicted and actual position. A perfect round would be zero points.
Guenter Steiner clarified the pronunciation of Zhou Guanyu’s name as “Zoo”.
Hi, you should make this a contest for your fans. Gradually more points awarded for good guesses on top positions.. Some small reward for winner and maybe invitation to your podcast as a "fan expert" ..
imagine someone predict stroll on top 6 this season , that will be crazy.
Bro, this guy can't say "sixth" either? It's bad enough one of the commenters on F1TV can't... Wtf is "sicth"?
I really don't understand why you only count the drivers starting the season. They are the only ones you predicted, so the rest shoul not be put in consideration.
Take Zhou for example: he finished 20th with bottas and sargeant behind him, so a net "18"... much better to compare
i think these predictions should be part of the championship and be like 3 or 5 points for the winner
2024 had 24 tracks, and 24 drivers.
Sorry Matt for the Lewis prediction slander a few months ago xx
Wait is Tom Bellingham based?? having a che guevara esque lion in the background😂
cant wait for next years predictions
I can't wait for the predictions for the next season 🥵
Matt gained up on Tommy like McLaren in the constructors
When’s the P1 award ceremony for the predictions
Next year can we get the fans in on the rankings?
There’s more innovation in P1’s intro than in Formula 1 😂
do an episode about best media moments this season
So you're saying it was 1+1+2+1, not 1+2+1+1?
Time to go rewatch Clue.
I got absolutely roasted this year. thought Hamilton would have had a chance
