It's been interesting and heartbreaking at the same time. I collect coins but nothing of great value. Mostly coins I grew up with for nostalgia. Indian head pennies, buffalo nickles, mercury dimes and silver quarters,half dollars and both Morgan and peace silver dollars. You are right, mom did throw away a small fortune but of course, we had no idea those comics would ever br valuable. Thanks for sharing your blessing about being gifted such a treasure!
Yeah, I wish I had known better when I started out, too.
But I think the real treasure is experiencing them. Yeah, collecting and selling and trading ar ecool. But I don't hold transactions dear in my memories like I do some of those stories I read in the pages of comic books :)
True treasure is in the eye of the beholder!
