    Hi OAL,
    I was wondering if you could advise on how often Suzuki recommend having the valve clearances checked. I’ve asked my local dealer but have been getting conflicting answers.
    Overall what is your view on the performance (I realise that it’s only a 125cc machine) and have you had any eng/gearbox issues to speak of?
    Thanks for posting your video 👍🏍🎥.
    Cheers.

      Hi Peter, I am not sure of the valve clearence check intervals. I can check the manual and let you later. Performace wise I like it feels lot powerful than an actual 125 and comes with 6 gears. Didnt had any issues with gears or gear boxes in the last 2.5 years of owning it. Excellent fuel economy. I get an average of 40km/litre or more. Again dont usually ride motoways or freeways. The max speed you can achieve is lot less compared to bigger engines. I have gone only upto 120km/h just to see but took a while to reach it from 110.

    Hi Mate, for the first service may I do this by myself? I mean I already bought the oil filter even the oil, so looks not to difficult to do if you have the correct tools, thanks.

    • @jacokpack01
      @jacokpack01  3 года назад

      right mate but if you do service yourself it will void any warranty that comes with the bike. so I started doing my own service after the warranty period was over.

      The R version have fair amount of fairing. I took the S for the riding position and comfort :)

    How often do you change the filter, and if it’s every time you change the oil is it bad to change the oil and not the filter?

    • @jacokpack01
      @jacokpack01  2 года назад

      I usually change it during every service which is every 4000kms. It’s not too bad not change the oil filter, it just recommended but try to change it every 8000kms and you should be good.

    Hi, thanks for this great video :) I have been told that this is a very solid bike, and based on the gsxr version winning all 125cc championships since it has been introduced I can only believe it is. There is one thing that keeps me from purchasing one until now : I have never been able to see either the Gsxs or the Gsxr in real, no dealer has it at all, but they told me it is a very small bike and I might be too big for it, sadly.
    I still doubt it though, I am only 1m75 so the seat height would be perfect below 800mm.
    May I ask how tall you are to have an idea ?
    I will try again tomorrow to check at a dealer 100km away from here, hoping they would answer my questions since there do sell a used gsxs …

    • @jacokpack01
      @jacokpack01  Год назад +1

      They are light weight motorbikes, ideal for urban life, can filter traffic in the city with ease and great on fuel. I used to get 39 km/litre fuel economy. I am 175cm too, perfect little motorcycle nice gear shifts and seating position. Top speed I could get was 115km/h but will take a while to reach there.

      @@jacokpack01 awesome, thanks a lot for your reply! I saw the other video you did about this bike, and it really confirms my idea that I wouldn’t be too tall, excellent 👌

    Can i use 10w-40 for car engine oil?
    What petrol do you use?

    • @jacokpack01
      @jacokpack01  3 года назад +1

      Please don't use motorbike engine oil for cars it might destroy your cars engine.
      I use U95 petrol on my motorbike I get around 41 km\litre fuel economy

    • @jacokpack01

      It is in the motorcycle manual if you have one.

      Just wondering on my bike in which 1 have 800 miles on it now and for some reason it won't idle properly as it moves up and down from 1000 rpm to 1500 rpm and only does it when the engine is fully warmed up after 10 or 15 minutes of riding the bike and was wondering did you have the same issue when your bike was running in.

    • @jacokpack01
      @jacokpack01  3 года назад

      My bike is working fine. I haven't had any issues in the last 2+ years of owning it.
      I am not a mechanic so can't advise you on that. My experience is with working on all the previous bikes I owned and watching the mechanics working in it.
      If your bike fairly new simply hit up the showroom and ask them to diagnose for free, they provide 1 year guarantee for new bikes (might vary in different countries but i think that is a minimum)
      It could do better with a carburetor cleaning i think.
