I use the kick stand for draining the oil & removing the filter. More of the used oil flows out of the oil pan & the oil filter can be removed without getting oil on the exhaust headers.
Cept’ leave the plug out when removing the filter - a slight vacuum can stop all channels from draining completely and I like to bump the starter for a second - followed by priming the new filter by pouring in a couple tablespoons of the new oil to avoid possibility of an airlock.
You want a replacement crush washer for the oil drain pan bolt. Most of the time you can flip the crush washer & get 2 uses out of 1 washer but definitely replace it every other oil change.
Suzuki motorbike size 1000 08 My question is when I change the oil did I add oil for the period before installation or just put in the engine 3000ml of oil
I no this is an old video but I got it to the mark on the site glass perfectly at F fired it up and now let it sit for about half an hour and the oil still isn’t in the site glass ? Should I add more ?
Actually, that's incorrect. We can ship almost anything internationally. The only restrictions are Can Am and Polaris, they do not allow exportation of their products outside the US.
Hi I have a question I have a rzr 1000 2015 I can not connect the examination device on the ECU Is it possible to help me what is the problem was reached the examination device but does not work I have a problem power steering and check engine Thanks
If I follow the manual to a T that's one level. If I ride the bike on a hot summer day and check it super hot it's way past the full mark. So I'm assuming to follow the manual. Let it run for 3 minutes. Wait 3 minutes and check it. It's between the marks. What do you guys think. Don't over think it and follow the manual or bring it between the marks when hot? The manual has had the same oil check directions forever. No matter what gsxr I've had it's always the same. I've always wondered about this but never ever got a straight answer. Some say one thing while others say... Follow the book
How in the world is it 2.4 quarts Last year i change my 04 gsxr750 and i put 2.4 and it didnt even hit the L mark It was 3.4 (with oil filter / 3.2 w/o oil filter) till it was at middle
One error in this video. The oil should be checked at operating temps! Oil expands when hot so if you fill to the full line when cold it’ll be over full at operating temps. No bueno!
Absolutely. Additionally, the level changes once oil gets moving through the system. In this video, we crank the bike back up after the oil fill at 1:50 of the video and let the bike run for a bit before we do the final level check. It's also why it's a good idea not to fill all the way to the top line on your sight glass.

Can you guys please tell what that is the black bar that connects the left and right fairing together? It’s on 0:38.
Be sure to stand the bike up straight to check the oil level through the sight glass
just the comment i was looking for. Wasn't sure if the oil level should be measure while the bike was tilt on kickstand or standing straight up.
Hello, What kind of spray do you put on the manifold to remove the remaining oil? Can you tell me the brand of the spray can? Thanks 😊
Forgot to mention to warm up the oil before drain. And open the oil cap before the removing drain plug.
Hello. Can you tell which is the best washer for the oil screw to keep the oil from leaking out of the crankcase

Possibly because this one is around 12 years newer than yours and parts change?

Torque specs in this video are completely wrong. See the service manual
