- Poundbury is just outside of Dorchester in Dorset.
Poundbury was the vision of our King when he was the Prince of Wales the design is based on traditional architecture and New Urbanist principles.
We filmed in 4K as usual on January 15th 2024
The video starts at, Queen Mother Square.
Charles III, is known for holding strong views challenging post-war trends in town planning that were suburban in character. Since starting in 1993, the town has received both criticism and praise from architects and design critics.
The development is built to a high-density urban pattern, and intends to create an integrated community of shops, businesses, and private and social housing.

It may look a little more vibrant in the summer. Our daughter and her partner painted the Trompe l'œil effect of the pillars on the building shown 3:50. Thanks as always for your encouragement 👍👍
