    I worked in Luxembourg for a few years and travelled frequently to both Flemish and French speaking regions in Belgium filled with wonderful places and events. From Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent to Namur, Dinant, and Semois Valley with lovely town of Bouillon.

    Visiting Belgium for the first time in May.
    I was only seeing the usual 10 places to visit on youtube so far but this opened my eyes.
    Thanks a lot for your videos. Trying to put as much of it on my itinerary as possible :)
    Can you let me know the place in the first clip of this video?

      We Belgians at least have a sense of style and fashion. Nothing like seeing Americans walk around in public in their SpongeBob pajama pants at 3pm. 😂

    So basically (besides number 10) this list should be called: Hidden gems in Wallonia.
    Flanders is what's actually underrated besides the big cities.

    • @yagi3925
      @yagi3925 7 месяцев назад +4

      Yes and no. All of Belgium is actually underrated with the vast majority of foreign tourists visiting Belgium, except the usual top Flemish cities + Brussels. So, most of Wallonia is just as ignored and underrated as the Flemish countryside and small towns. Now, you would probably object that Wallonia, especially the Ardennes, is highly popular with tourists but it's most often domestic (binnelands) tourism and visitors from the neighbouring NL: it's hardly international tourism. Again, most of Belgium is unknown on the international stage. Having said that, ik ben franstalig (van huis uit, althans) en mijn favoriete gedeelte van België is zeker en vast Vlaanderen, in het bijzonder het Vlaamse platteland: ik ben dol op de schattige Vlaamse dorpjes, de witte hoevekes van het Westfluutenland ;-) , de kronkelende beekjes met hun oevers beplant met wilgen, lekker fietsen langs lijnrechte vaarten, onder hemelhoge populieren die als het ware natuurlijke kathedralen uitmaken... Mmmm, het Vlaamse platteland is héérlijk!

    I really want to know the location of the last one, the quarry you visit. After staying in Belgium for quite a while, I never expect this type of view really exists in this country, really want to have a visit.

      I actually found it, it is located somewhere near Namur, but is it legal to get this close to this blue water reservoir? Is it possible like you to come this close to the cliff of the water? If yes, I would like to explore too.
