Where you from is like I live your life as well I was here watching and basic day for me lol. Probably going to turn my garage into my animal room
It works for me. My snapping turtle Onyx is now almost 13 pounds.
Wow need to catch up on your videos then I just got a terrapin and I find them so personable
@nelsondelgadofeliciano4653 my box turtle’s are like puppies there a lot of fun also and onyx is really good for a snapping turtle.
Love watching snapping turtles grow ..and yeah man they can eat lol
swap the small gravel to sand, the turtle will mistake the gravel for food. The gravel will impact the digestive tract and can kill the turtle.
Onyx needs a cave. Snapping turtles rarely like to be seen
Onyx has a huge cave. He spends a lot of time in it. I’ll make another video on his cave
He’s also now in a 500 gallon pond. His cave is massive. He will be 2 years old in October
aquarium water level too high.
You would think so but he did great. He is now 11 pounds and in a 500 gallon pond loving life. Common snapping turtles move so mush just wanted to give him as much room as possible.
Just got a baby curious about the water level
They grow fast. Onyx will be a year in October and he is 6 inch.
heres the 2nd money saver, lowes or Home Depot has drainage pebbles, $5 fills an entire 40-gallon bottom.
Hi
👋
how old is the snapping turtle
1 year 8 months as of today
Those rocks r too small if your turtle eats one it can not get it out of his system…really bad for him, could even kill him
He is in a 500 gallon stalk tank now. Working on getting him some sand. Definitely appreciate the advice. Thank you
My turtle will not go underwater for some reason but yours do
What kind of turtle 🐢?
A baby snapping turtle but mabe he will soon
@@lilzayhoe3441 i have the same problem
Too much water ?
He did very good. If needed I could’ve lowered the water but onyx loved it. He is now in a 200 gallon pond
How are u going to tame it??
The best I can. A lot of handling him hand feeding. But in the long run it’s still a snapping turtle they do what they want
@@dsbanimals4010 oh nice, I’m getting one too lol
There a lot of work but so much fun.
