I'm 39 BJ and you are definitely younger than me. Ernest was a staple for me and my sisters during my childhood. We watched all of his movies, this one especially. I'm excited to watch you and Asia get into it. A couple small facts about Jim Varney, he's from my home state of Kentucky and he was the voice of the slinky dog in Toy Story and I believe Toy story 2 before he passed. Asia is right, who doesn't love Ernest?! Hey Vern, know what I mean?🤪

Please continue down the rabbit hole of his films: Ernest Goes To School, Ernest Goes To Camp, Ernest Goes To Jail, Ernest Goes To Africa, Ernest In The Army, Ernest Rides Again, Slam Dunk Ernest, Ernest Goes To Splash Mountain, The Beverly Hillbillies. He's hilarious in every film. Nice reaction. Good choice CalixYukon.

Jim Varney was an amazing actor and person. He visited sick kids in the hospital as Ernest even though he was terminally ill with cancer. He loved entertaining kids and did a lot of make a wish visits. When he found out he had cancer he quit smoking cold turkey (of course it was way too late). Before Jim died he was thinking of moving away from the Ernest persona and doing more serious roles. 16:31 I love the character of Vern cause you never see him and it’s like the audience is his friend. 46:56 he has to start his run at 7pm or else he won’t complete all his deliveries in one night.
