You should change the title to Tuono V4 Factory, because the Tuono V4 non-factory actually has lower pegs, and suspension that is more forgiving while -being adjustable. There is a distinct difference between the factory and non-factory. the info in this video can be misleading for those that is interested in the standard Tuono/Touring Tuono. So many of the CONs in this video is not indicative of the standard/touring Tuono.

Really disappointed with the way you evaluate this bike. I understand it is not the kind of bike you like. But I think you should evaluate it based on what it is and not what you would expect it to be. It is not a commuter. It has never been designed for it. Yes it is exhausting, but it is exhausting because it is so intense. If you want to be relaxed, buy a boring bike :-) yes it is too much … but we love it

You definitely got a lot right about this bike.
Before I bought my 2020 Tuono 1100 RR, I was a daily rider. Now, the Tuono only comes out from under it's cover on the weekend and the occasional weekday off from work. It's a reward or the perfect escape from life as it requires your full concentration.
If I wake up and I'm not feeling 100% on my game...I won't even get on the Tuono. You have to be completely in synch with this bike or it's not even any fun to ride. I respect that. In the end, It's just too God damn beautiful of a bike to wreck.

That bike had 140is nm of torque and 177 horses. How much more gonzo could this bike be??? I ask because I have a dark tuono v4 factory in my sights at the local dealer. My ktm threw a crank a5 38k. Total catastrophic failure and they would do NOTHING. Thinking this is the next bike. I have 35 years of street experience on the daily. Thoughts and guidance???

@@stephenpatton8690 my guess is the 1290 Super Duke might be similar. I still really only take my Tuono out on longer rides on the weekend. In the city, there's little reason to take it out of first gear and never a reason to go above second.
Now that I've had this bike for almost two years, I realize how rarely I really get on it. Maybe my next bike will be a 600cc. On the Tuono, if I get on it it's at 100mph in a couple seconds and personally I just don't need a ticket like that messing up my commercial vehicle insurance rates.
But, I still love this bike. It's my toy... I keep it looking showroom new.

Yeah, I'll stick to riding my Tuono when I'm able to invest my full attention to it.
You could own that Tuono for 2 years and you'd still never consistently get 75% of it's capability out of it off the track. I don't even have to know your experience level as a rider to know that. The fact is off track roads simply aren't designed for a bike with the Tuono's power.
Unless of course, I'm currently exchanging messages with "Max Wrist" in which case we both now your Tuono will end up in a ditch inevitably. 🤣

If your in the market for a DAILY bike I agree that the MT09 is probably the perfect bike for daily use and some weekend shredding. I'll put it like this... The MT09 is a very capable bike, you will be able to keep up with the liter boys in the turns and not fall too far behind on the straights. The MT09 has great power especially if you flash it like most people do. Maintenance cost are lower and running cost are as well.
Tuono imo is the jack of all trades, but I do agree it's not the best for commuting. However if you like like speed and some comfort you will be hard press to find a better bike. Not only will you be able to keep up in the turns on the Tuono, but when it comes to straight line performance barely any bike will beat you to 160mph if you have good flash (raced S1000rr, RSV4, R1).
When it comes to having the bikes on the side of the tire the Tuono wins imo, but to be fair the Tuono has full ohlins suspension and my old MT09 was stock suspension. At the end of the day they're both great bikes and you will have a ton of fun on either bike. If you need a daily bike buy an MT09, but are looking for a great weekend bike, like speed and don't mind spending more cash you won't be disappointed with Tuono. Just my .02
Had a 2018 MT09 for about a year, logged about 10k miles on it in that year. Traded it in for my 2019 Tuono Factory Summit Attack and have logged about 4k miles on her so far.
Man, I really wish y'all had some better curves in TX lol, that last road was not ideal for the Tuono. Gotta take her to the mountains 😉

You can totally cruise around on the bike with very little ease throttle response very mellow as long as you have it in engine management number three this bike is very easy to drive and there’s no issues with it being too powerful if you just wanna cruise. Everyone’s opinion is different. It’s totally able to be driven anyway you want. Gentle or aggressive it doesn’t matter. It can do both.

It doesn't complain and it obeys my every command with excellent precision. The 1 and only thing I'm not a fan of is it runs hot. Commuting in heavy traffic is not the best and if you want to keep it cool you have to shut it off at the red lights. It's not made for heavy traffic though so I don't have much right to complain if I force it to ride through it. Sometimes I just can't help myself cuz I just always want to ride.

Lucky us that we are gifted the Alps here.

    • @kennigt

@@lhdrones1775 Well spotted! It is Stelvio, and yes, busy pass, Southern France and Dolomites (besides touristic Gardena) are my favorite Alpine areas. I was there also on my VFR800 and it is not powerful (enjoyable) enough when going uphill (after 180deg bend). Had to reduce to 1st and wait for 7k rpm to have some juice. Tuono goes uphill like a dream. And maybe what is more important it is so much safer to overtake when you have this power. Naked bikes are not for highways, it was not pleasant for me at all. I would even say, I suffer on highways. But when I hit twisty roads it is so much fun to ride, even if I use only first 2 or 3 gears :)

That it is not only the tiny amount of fairing that decides if a bike is naked or not. In my view “nakeds” may have been originally intended for a stripped down sport bike, but now the term refers to a motorcycle suited for the street, with handlebar, torquier engine and less committed ergonomy.
Nonetheless if I had to find communalities between a Tuono and either the mt-10 or the r1 it is clear to me that it has far more things in common with the first than with the latter. Same with all the other supernakeds, it is not a couple of inches of plastic that makes it ineligible to be called naked.

I own a 21 V4 Factory myself, just wanted to comment on the cruise control.
It won’t work in Gears 1 and 2 at all.
In gears 3-5 it only works as long as you’re sub 6k Rpm because that’s where the exhaust flap will open. Propably they just want you to not cruise around with open flap in 3rd gear, so they rather have u shift up until you either get under the 6k rpm or reach 6th gear. In 6th gear it will allow Cruise Control over 6k rpm.
Could probably fix all of that with a tune but at least here in Germany it seems like a sensible thing.

But I got more experience since that happened. And oh my god. This bike is amaaaaazing! It is a glorious V4 sound. Its range is not great though, but I guess that figures for this engine type. A good bit of my commute is 35 mph stuck behind traffic but at high eleva. and cool ambient temps in the morning, the way home is 90 degrees freedom units on the way home and at 35mph shes runnin sorta hot imo just solely going off ECT. I need to do a coolant flush and bleed as I'm the second owner and I assume its never been done before(can almost guaranfuckingtee it hasnt been done) however I also know just a characteristic of the bike to run hot, the other 25 miles are super fun twisty turny roads and i swear I'm goin to end up wearing the sides before the middle lol
