Nice review thank you! Yeah I was also surprised at the price not including a HDMI cable or battery. Do you need to use an SSD? I don't need to screen record, but do you need this for play back please?
No you don't need the SSD it's only if you want to record to it but you can just record to your camera and use it for monitoring

Can you record non RAW formats using the Ninja V?
Yeah well like only a few cameras shoot raw, so I'd say most of it is non raw

I appreciate the comment, but I really am not a videographer, I actually don't enjoy it but I want to make videos to make people. I'd much rather spend my time solely photographing
@@MarkDuffyPhotography appreciate the pragmatic view on put on them videos. There RUclips and then there’s reality. The Louth Timelapse series came out pretty good.

@@MarkDuffyPhotography I'm back. Started eyeing these up again last night. How's the mic input?
@@DamianBrown I haven't used the mic input but I'll give it a test. I'm using it to record my EVF and display settings to show how lenses perform etc... it doesn't record audio unless you're videoing through the camera for that
@@MarkDuffyPhotography ye I have a much cheaper solution for that already so I didn't bother getting it but now the mic input and the fun I could have with the better video recording is tempting me, and of course I'd screen recorder too
If I shot Sony I'd definitely be using this for that 4k eye af thing. Never understood why Sony has that issue
I think that eye AF has been sorted with A7iv, think it was down to an overheating issue maybe?

Sorry I could hear it fine with my speakers when I was editing. I hate videos without music, should've muted music for that section
