love TPE ~ we visited back in 2018 when it was relatively underrated. good thing you traveled in the winter since their summers are super hot and dry!!! Curious question, why not withdraw using a local atm, vs forex? they say the rates are much better.
hi, anneska! agreed, it was the best choice to come during winter because I enjoyed our entire stay as someone who loves colder weather. as for the rates, we exchanged about 200 USD only when we landed ‘cause we planned to withdraw money from the local atm once we run out of NTD. we just want to make sure we have some money on hand in case anything happens (like our card not working, etc. lol) We did withdraw from atm on our 3rd day and yes, the rates are better. I recommend it instead of forex actually
Hi what are the requirements needed to present in immigration and what ate the usual questions po planing to travel to Taiwan this coming February thanks in advance🫶😊
Hello, Dianne 😊 I’m going to assume you’re also a filipino because of the immigration question hehe but just the passport and e-travel did it for me. I was asked where I work and when I’ll be back in Manila during immig interview. After that, it’s all good. However, my companion was asked for a COE so I suggest to also prepare that. Here are the docs I brought with me just in case they asked: Passport E-Travel Printed hotel booking Printed copy or screenshot of my VL approval (if employed) COE VaxCert and a list of itinerary :) I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip
Hello! I'm gonna be at Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and some other places) next week. I stumbled upon your video since I was looking for videos about traveling in Taiwan in December. May I know how's the weather like there? I don't want to get sick because of wrong outfit 😂 Thank you!
Hi, there! 😊 i’m going to assume you’re from PH or a tropical climate too since you asked about the weather. Well, I didn’t get to go to Taichung and Kaohsiung but we visited Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen and the temp dropped to i would say between 16 - 19 degrees C. I would say prepare to pack jackets and outerwear for sure. It also rains at some point of the day so better be prepared. My next vlog after this would be our trip to those places i mentioned and you would hear how I kept on saying I was cold all the time. Hehe 😅 as for Taipei, a light jacket or pullover did the job during the day but it gets colder in the evening around 19-21 degrees. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip
You got it right about the climate 😉 I'm not from PH but I live in a country with similar weather. Thank you so much for your answer, it'll help me to pack for my trip since I'll be going to JiuFen and some other places that I guess will be cold in Taiwan. Once again, thank you! 😊
@@flowergirl79 yes it is very cold in taiwan now. Bring jackets or thermal unders like uniqlo's heatteach. If you are sensitive to colds, be prepared and also bring medicine for flu or colds
hi 😊 hindi naman. aircon weather in general sya so you can get by with sweater or cardigan lang. siguro wear something thicker lang if you do decide to go near the coastal area
Hello, Mickel. We stayed at two hotels. The most of our stay we were at King Shi Hotel. 5-10 mins walk away from Ximending Walker Street at Ximen station. Okay naman sya with housekeeping daily. Then on our last day we moved to Tomorrow Hotel. Literal na 1 min away from Ximen station and Ximending walker street. Okay din sya. Spacious and ang lapit sa station so less pagod
Hi, Debra. More or less 35k range siguro. But pwede pa sya bumaba depende sa ticket, activities and hotel na mabobook, and sa shopping na gagawin din. On the budget to mid travelers kami so nothing luxurious but we also dont skimp on food and and activities
confession: i’ve never been to baguio so I can’t compare but it can get really cold in taipei especially around this time nasa 10c sila based on my friends’ ig stories. When we were there it’s somewhere around 16-19c then dropped to 13c near the coast
North Taiwan can be cold Jan to mid March usually 15 to 18 but if the cold fronts come down from Siberia it can get as low as 8c in Taipei and north Taiwan
