Mr Hagan, I have seen a lot of videos on the Phantom 3's and 4's and 4 Pros, and I have to say YOURS ARE BY FAR THE BEST in terms of quality of information, quality of the video itself, and finally smooth narration. You're a true professional and that's obvious and that's why I'm a subscriber. I hope to see more of your fine work on anything with the P4P as the subject matter.
Thanks for the kind words, Robb. Really appreciate the support.
I learned more about video quality and settings from this video than I have in years of making movies. Thanks for the professional, clear, concise and incredibly helpful analysis of the Phantom 4 Pro capabilities.
Thanks for the comment and kind words, Andre
It's folks like you that are making a hobby for an old retired guy a lot of fun. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment, Ken. I'm glad the video could help!
What can I say? What a breath of fresh air your advice and experience is to the rest of us mere mortals Frederick! I have been a professional photographer for many years and am now venturing into using a drone as an imaging platform. Your advice - and the way it is imparted is priceless! Thank you so much for sharing.
WoW, I have been reviewing settings but you own it, your knowledge is fantastic and thank you for taking the time sharing your knowledge in an easy to understand way. Thank you a million times over for this.
Brad Chism thank you for the kind words, Brad. I'm really glad video could help!
The finest narration & information I heard so far. You cover lots of topics & in-depth analysis, which I don't get to hear from other videos. Thank you for the wonderful video.
Your ph4 color settings vid is incredible. Most professional I have ever seen! Yer gonna cost me a ton of time trying to catch up and I'm gonna love it! Many thanks. Cliff
Thanks for the kind words, Cliff. DJI has changed these settings a few times so check this video out for THE MOST current settings. Thanks again.

There are a lot of "Best Settings" videos, but this was by far, one of the most intelligent and well thought out explanations I have found on You Tube, so far. Please keep this info coming. Subscribed and Liked.
Thanks for the kind words, Jeffery. Really appreciate the support.
I learned so much from this. Thank you for providing a video that is exactly what the title says it is, and not making is fast forwarded through half the video to get to what we came for , like so many others. Also for not trying to sell us something or redirect us to some sort of revenue stream. A breath of fresh air in the clutter full world of you tube.if I could like it twice I would.👍🏻👍🏻
I know next to nothing about photography. This video helped immensely. Very through and easy to understand. Instant subscriber. Great work Frederick.
Mike Wangrud thanks for the kind words, Mike. Really appreciate the support.
Fred, I've watched a few of your videos and they are excellent. I set my camera on my P4P+ to your settings and they are great. You are by far the best presenter I have seen and heard on RUclips. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing more great videos.

Another great video. Really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with us.
Very helpful and well done tutorial, thanks mate.
Thank you, thank you!! Really made a difference. My first drone and started to learn to fly then focused on the camera.
Always love your vids Frederick! Thanks for taking the time to do them! ;-)
Hi Frederick, a great video. Easy to understand and full of fantastic information. I've only just subscribed after finding this, but the ease in which you go thru everything, unobtrusive, easy going, simple, lay back information that is pertinent to the cause is fantastic. I'm a flyer, not a photographer so this is of great value for me now that there is a camera involved. Prior to this, I have been leaving everything on auto. Now, not any more. Thanks and Merry Xmas.
Richard Cerni Thanks for the kind words, Richard. Clear skies to you my friend.
I agree, great job presenting the material. Glad I found your channel.. Keep up the great work!
Chris Anderson thanks for the comment and kind words, Chris.
Wow! Very informative and a video for any beginning drone pilot to look at.
Thank you very much for your camera and filming critique, I have been looking for someone who knows how to work a camera really well. Thanks!
Subscribed after seeing this video! I cannot thank you enough for how well done this is.
You're most welcome, Rob. Thanks for the encouragement and support.
+1 sub, I like having the setting explained and having back to back comparisons, very helpful.
Aus Explorer thanks for the comment and welcome to my channel!
Awesome information on achieving desired results with my camera. I look forward to future videos.

Thank you for this great video with lots of helpful hints and tips!
Nowegian Outdoors Thanks for the comment.
Je vous remercie de ce formidable tutoriel bien utile. Bonne et heureuse année
Thank you very much for posting these tips! Explained in easy to understand terms!
Thanks for the comment, 50dafuz.
Best teacher I've seen so far. Thanks for taking time to explain the jargon. I've been watching RUclips videos for over a year to learn videography and often get lost because I don't understand the language (like moire and aliasing) or cannot retain it when it is explained. But with you, I get it and I won't lose it because the explanation is clear and simple. Keep it up, your audience will grow quickly with content like this!
I haven't browsed your channel yet so this may be covered, but if you are looking for other hot topics, mine would be a primer on color grading. Answer questions like: Why bother to purposely "flatten" it and fix it later when you can just set D-Cinelike with 0,0,0 and save time? How do you know when the green is green enough, and the red is red enough? Hopefully that is something that could be taught without having to choose specific editing software.
mediamannaman Thanks so much for the comment. I really appreciate the kind words and your support. Do check out some of the other videos… I have covered many of the questions you’ve asked. Again, thank you!
Your good at explaining the amazing Phantom 4 camera. Thanks man.
Thank you Frederick, this kind of information is just what I was looking for. Great job!
Roger Petersen
Awesome. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you sir! This was a very logical walk-through and explanation which helped me out a lot.
Both informative and enjoyable - thanks for an excellent tutorial!
new to the P4P and i think this video will really help me as a staring point. I love your relaxed tone and the way you explain each setting and how it affects the results. I have subscribed for more great videos. Keep up the great work
thanks
Thanks for the kind words, Andrew. Glad the videos help.
Hi Thanx for being so fast with your reply i will send it back as i bought second hand as new on eBay they can have it back thank you so much Colin please keep the videos coming as they're great . I've had a taster of the hobby so i need to keep my eyes peeled for another hopefully with more success asap as ive not had so much enjoyment in a long time as that brief encounter yesterday evening i was totally absorbed in it. My wife is disabled and i care for her 24/7 and because she is in so much pain it's hard to find something that takes the pressure off best wishes colin
Excellent, clear advice. Filming in normally pretty sunny conditions most of the time here in the Philippines, it has been hard to get really clear footage. I now use an ND16 filter, which has helped, to and will try your recommended settings on top. Thanks very much
david garton Thanks for the kind words, David. Clear skies to you my friend.
Thank you for taking the time to post all this valuable information. Your videos are excellent.
Juan Rodriguez Thanks for the kind words. Really appreciate the support.
Great video! I'll be coming back here a few times I'm sure and the film profile settings is fantastic reference.
Thanks for the comment.
This guy is the Bob Ross for Drone Guides. Thanks for your tips! I just got a Phantom 4 Pro and this has helped me tremendously. Keep up the good work, subscribed! Quick question- Since you still need ND filters for this, which would you recommend on a tighter budget (Not sure if I need the entire set).
Thanks for the comment. I'd start with the ND8. I use that one most often.
thanks so much for the video frederick, very clear and informative for the beginner photographer i really appreciate the time and hard work you've put into this video for the benefit of so many including myself
Lee Ingram you are very welcome, Lee. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement.
Only got a P4P a couple days ago and I have to say, your videos are really helpful when it comes to things like settings etc. Not only do you describe what settings to use but why you should use them which seems to be something that I cant find elsewhere.
Gordon Fullarton thanks for the kind words and congratulations on your new quad!
Perfect explanations, everything plausible, very nice guy and awesome grading in the end.
Thank you for your work, keep on supporting us.
Liked and subscribed.

Great video. Explained very well. One of the better videos on the p4 pro, thanks

Thanks for the comment, jason. The changes at the end are before color correction then after with color correction and grading.
Great tutorial! Thank you so much!

Matt Todd Thanks for the kind words.
Mr Hagen, thank you! As a novice videographer, your 'Best Camera Settings' video is VERY helpful! Did I mention - thank you? Paul
Paul Schaffhausen Thank you for the kind words, Paul. I really appreciate it.
Very informative, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I absolutely LOVE this video & your channel. Subbed. Thank-you very much for taking the time to share your best P4P settings with us. Much appreciated! I am on vacation in Croatia currently using my P4P for the very first time today, did about an hour worth of filming. I was filming in 4K 60FPS, using Polar Pro's ND4-PL, ND8-PL & ND16-PL filters, still waiting for them to ship out the ND8, ND16 & ND32 cinema series filters-those should be here by Friday this week. Long story short, while flying I could see the zebra lines in many of my shots, and after reviewing the footage I wasn't happy at all, as all the videos looked very over exposed. I will be giving your settings a try tomorrow; keeping my fingers crossed the footage will look amazing! I'm traveling to Italy, Denmark & Germany before completing this vacation-so much more flight time ahead! Thank-you very much for your help! Cheers.
Thanks for the kind words, Daniel. Yeah the Zebra stripes on the mobile device are a professional feature warning that you are over exposed. Take you time and enjoy. You'll learn so much with every outing and every shot.
Frederick Hagan Thank-you, I am filming a lot of windsurfing & water sports in general, on the beaches with a bright sun. What settings would you recommend for this as 'best in 4K' & what ND filter? I'm guessing the polarized ND16 would be the best bet until they ship out the ND32 by the end of this week. I'd like to dial something in that works without much post processing work for quick uploads to share, & also something that will require lots of post processing for when I return home from this 5 week vacation. Basically I'm filming everything at least twice with two very different settings. This sure is time consuming, but it's fun & the reason I blew all this $ after all. Practice makes #perfect. :)
For super bright sun I always start with the ND16. I've not yet found the need for an ND32. I think the only time the ND32 would be a necessity would be with pure white snowy landscapes in midday sun.
Thanks a lot for this video! Learned a lot.
Thank you for the information!! I hope this works better for my next capture
You're most welcome. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you so much for this video I just got my phantom 4 pro and had its first flight today after watching this video and copying your settings!! Wow what an awesome drone and your colour correcting is amazing any chance you could do a video on that ?? I love the cinema look!!
Thanks for the comment, Ben. Check out the other videos on my channel. There are quite a few step by step tutorials on color correction and grading.
Great info on video settings on the P4P.. Thanks very much Frederick ;)
JennyDixonBeach Thanks for the comment and you are most welcome, Jenny
THANK YOU for taking the time to make this for the rest of us.
h4y6d2e you are most welcome. Thank you for the comment.
here's the thing - you come across as very intelligent and kind with your information. you are not glossing over anything and you don't have the slightest condescending or elitist tone. you are HELPING complete strangers. i know this video, let alone the experience in refining your opinions based on who know how many hours of R&D, took a monumental amount of your time.
that is why i appreciated your video and have subscribed. i am looking forward to more on the 4 Pro 👌🏻
That means the world to me and it is why I started this channel. People in my past were kind enough to share their knowledge with me and I wanted to return that favor. Thanks again, h4y6d2e.
Master Work here Fred. Thx so much.
Thanks for the kind words, nick.
Someone with knowledge. Thank you
Thanks for the overview. My main takeaway is to bring the contrast down all the way. I hadn't looked at it the way you explain here (preserving shadow and highlight detail).
Yeah you can always bring contrast back into an image. But once it's blown out or crushed....the footage is toast.
Great video , thanks so much, will give those settings a go over the weekend.
have you got any videos up for night time settings for the phantom 4 pro ?
Nice work bro!
Great vid !!
Hi Frederick. I love your videos and find them very informative. I wanted to give you a tip. Instead of leaving the "adjust gimbal roll" up on your screen, you can hold C2 and turn the right dial on the remote to adjust the gimbal roll.
Dan Vaught Wow, Dan thank you very much. I had no idea about this handy little tip! Really appreciate it.
Great video! I love the color graded footage. I wish iMovie would do that. Nice job.
Thanks for the kind words, Magnum.
Love your videos. I like how you explain what exactly you do and the reason for it. My videos have improve immensely. Thank you
Scott Watson that's fantastic, Scott. I'm glad you find a Videos helpful and thank you for the kind words.
Nice teaching I can't wait to catch up to what you're even talking about I'm going to study everything you have
I do really want to learn how to get the best out of my Phantom 4pro+... You just earned my subscription... I saved this to my favorites in order to practice next time I go fly... You mentioned ND filters. When should I use them, and which ones?
Nice tutorial though!
Thanks for the info, very helpful!
No prob. Thanks for the comment.
Very nice. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the comment, Ray.
I love youtube! This is the first video on your channel that I've watched. Very informative and concise tutorial :) learned quite a lot on here from you which is very helpful. Thanks for the kind words, Justin. Yep.... go to my channel and browse the videos. I have tons of post processing tutorials and tips.
