It is like the watchmen but not entirely. The only person who has powers is Dr Manhattan. The other watchmen where vigilantes who could fight like Batman. The Boys the superheroes do have super powers and “The boys” are like the vigilantes. The show was surprisingly good. I binge watched it this past weekend.
It’s like Avengers meets Breaking Bad, fucken brilliant.
Looks a bit like Hancock too. A-hole superheroes. Love when he throws the beached whale into the sea and it lands on a yacht about a mile out.

You know a superhero show is good when it’s inappropriate for kids. We adults are happy that a show like this was created; something we could truly enjoy.

Rudy Hinojosa nothing personal but I hated this show. The fact that so many people consider it amazing is depressing. Does no one see the sheer hypocrisy of a show that blames corporations for so many problems being produced by Amazon? Corporations are benign. Authority figures aren’t all terrible. This show is just a wet dream for a socialist antifa supporter.
One of the few shows with substance, huge performances and a great plot. It is shocking, funny, sad and powerful in equal measure.

Karl Urban in the pilot is amazing. As well as Antony Starr throughout who was born to play Homelander, giving a spine shivering hero/villain portrayal till the end of the season that you can’t really help but to like.

minos121 got good tv coming out like bosch, man in the high castle, the expanse, patriot, sneaky pete, grand tour and some great sports docs if you’re into that stuff - not to mention the prime exclusives they have are much better than netflix these days (not producing these but options are better tbh)

I know, I love Garth Ennis works! If you're ok with darker material than he also wrote a series called "the crossed" , its pretty much a zombie epidemic that causes people to become psychopath-murderer-rapists!
If I can help it, I would never read the books/comics/manga first, the show or movie is almost always a letdown if you don't watch it first.

Just so everyone knows...Amazon has already approved of a second season for The Boys. That's how good this is.

There are different economics involved in streaming properties than in theater films. Extension of the series doesn't necessarily speak to its quality. That said, I do hope they do a good job on this.

I binged this show over two nights! It’s one of the best TV series I’ve ever watched. It had horror, superheroes, comedy and nostalgic British songs; What’s not to love!

I just watched the entire first season. I loved it. One the best Superhero shows I have ever seen. I hope we get a second season. Great cast, great chemistry between the actors, it seems, and a fresh new take on the superhero genre.
The humor, the acting and the writing in this whole show it's diabolical, can't wait for season 2!
Anthony Starr is an awsome actor, I watched a New Zealand series where he plays two rolls as a twin.
He did an amazing job making it believable, not an easy thing to do.
