    My grandfather was one of the soldiers, who helped in the Chernobyl disaster.
    He said they always drank vodka, because vodka helped to reduce radiation contamination in the body.
    But still, he died of liver cancer in the age of 58, that was caused by radiation.
    I'm very proud of him and I'm sure he would be glad to see these series and was very happy to see the final titles "In the memory of all who suffered and sacrificed" if he was alive. I started crying when I saw those titles.
    Me and my family want to thank all the people who made this film.

    My dad served in Chernobyl as a liquidator and is now long gone. Besides the health issues, Chernobyl caused a lot of mental issues to those who returned. The Chernobyl PTSD was not less than after an active combat. They came back believing they were dying slowly, and that was tough even on the men who bravely went to serve and save the people of the country that was on the edge of the collapse. They did it for the people and for the strong sense of integrity they were raised with.
    I don’t remember my dad’s voice, he was not at my graduation, he is not going to be at my wedding. The country he served for does not exist any more, and with that those men who went to serve in Chernobyl after the disaster are now forgotten too.

Also as a result of the show showing her when she was taking care of her radioactive dying husband, she’s gotten a bunch of death threats by disgruntled viewers of the show. @jmd2789 The Chernobyl disaster is more powerful than the explosion of a nuclear bomb in Hiroshima. I am from Belarus (this country suffered the most from the disaster), was born 10 years after Chernobyl (thank God healthy), but I know a few people who were less fortunate.( for example one skin spotted) something Like that. In this scenario, we have to have the radiation sensors in each house, but they are not. Every person should have crap to check food, water, etc. for the presence of isotopes, but for some reason not. The problem is further hushed up, because who will live where everything is poisoned? People further fool. Dunno what will happen in a hundred years. How it affected the genome, etc. But it's all true... If it were not for the sacrifices made by people, the whole of Eurasia would be in the same situation, even worse. Sorry, i'm used google translator.

      I don't think so to be really honest personally. The grade of radiation had an psychological effect, most of the people who died later wanted to die so bad that they started to hurt themselves. To have been a witness of so many death, can make you feel like you deserve to be like them, like your friends, colleagues or who ever they worked with back then. You got the feeling that you made it out alive, well and all. Yet the people who you worked with, been with. They died, and kinda wish you were. Radiation grows on your body, people don't want to be near you. You are already dead, thats the real suffer for sure. Without a doubt

      @user-xv9rf2ll3m he adapted it to the television medium, though. Neil Druckman (one of the creators of the game) no longer had much hope of adapting the game to another medium after a failed attempt to adapt it to film. So much so that he wasn't even interested in the adaptation offer that Craig Mazin (creator of the miniseries Chernobyl and HUGE fan of The last of us) sent him through the voice actor and motion capture of Dina (important character of The last of us part II), Shannon Woodward.
      The game adaptation became a reality after Neil Druckman watched the Chernobyl miniseries and noticed Craig Mazin's talent. He became a fan of his own fan, set up a meeting, listened to the offer, accepted it, let him improve the story of the game into what was needed for a TV show and boom: the result was one of the best TV shows of the year and many many new fans of The last of us that wouldn't exist because most of them are people who never pick up a play station controller missing out on the opportunity to enjoy the great stories that exist in the world of video games.

Видно под старость спятил он мальца.

    • @LordArioh
      @LordArioh 5 лет назад +2

      @Евгений Вишняков 9 баллов землетрясение 2011 имеет место быть благодаря смещению тектонических плит, которое так же сместило остров Honshu на 2,4м на восток, сместило слегка ось наклона вращения планеты и ускорило вращение. Факт зарегестрированный десятками тысяч учёных. Fukushima просто зацепило по случайности. к тому же они сами теперь ноют в Калифорнии, что их побережье всё радиоактивное, весь океан гибнет (как будто плевок радиации способен на это, а тонны пластика и разлитая нефть к этому отношения не имеет). 2004 так же, смещение плит. Никто кроме Острецова никакого облучения в эпицентрах не нашёл.
      я не претендую на физика ядерщика, и уверен Острецов в этом более чем опытный спец, максимум я интересовался устройством ядерных реакторов, недостаточно глубоко, чтоб делать выводы о возможных диверсиях, но достаточно понять почему они расплавились. Но бездоказательно скидывать землетрясения на ядерные взрывы это чистая паранойя. Перечёркивать всю сейсмологию, потому что мне кажется, что США враги народа.

      I believe this particular horror film is directly based on a 2003 BBC documentary, it uses scenes in the exact same order, and lines copied word for word. Both films start out with the suicide of Valery Legasov, the only two films to ever do that. Some of the lines in there were not known from historical accounts, but were made up by the BBC in 2003 by creative license, it would be one hell of a coincidence for this 2019 HBO film to use those exact same words.

      Sorry to be that guy, but nuclear winter is caused by the dust lifted into the higher levels of the atmosphere, preventing sunlight from entering and thus reducing surface temperature of Earth(only nuclear weapons and super-vulcanos are capable of that), Chernobyl could not have exploded in that way, the cloud would have been more poisonous and in lower atmosphere, raining all over the world in the worst case.
      So term 'nuclear winter" is not really applicable

      In biophysics class we measured gamma absorption. We worked with Cs-137. The teacher put the GM-counter right in front of the isotope, and it started clicking like in the scene where they clean the roof. I had Chernobyl PTSD from that sound.
