I have thalassemia minor what should I do in general in life to live without complications
If you have A thal trait and 4% ferritin is this normal? And would you give IV iron?
In diagnosis you have written High RBC Distribution Width, I believe it should be normal in case of Thalassemia (at least in Thalassemia minor), shouldn't it?
Thala for a reason ❤
3.56 Thalassemia has a normal RDW, hasn’t it?
2:36 you have put beta+beta0 at both moderate and severe. In which category this beta+beta0 exactly fall.
beta+ is not just 1 mutation - it's any mutation that has reduced amount/function of beta globin. Many different mutations belong to this group. They reduce beta globin function to different degrees and therefore can have different levels of severity.
❤

I am suffering from moderate thalassemia, and yes splenomegaly and also hyper billirubin problem.
Doctors are just ignoring. Please help . I am 17 years old from India 😢
What is the cure?
Do you have thalsemia?
@@TheNature-ii9le😂
Blood transfusion
Gene editing
Gene therapy
Fllolic acid supplements
Bone marrow stem cell transplant
Iron chelation therapies
Drugs containing hydroxyurea
I say There is no cure. Yes BMT is possible but the chances are so less to survive. only regular blood transfusion is best option atleast
they can survive a bit longer
