Exactly, this was a game changer that made me switch from Gboard to SwiftKey.
Gboard keyboard was my favorite until the most recent update as of last night changed the size of one handed mode, and it's too big (on the smallest setting) to use with one hand. so good job i guess. I need to find something else now after having used that one for half a decade or more. what a shame
go to setting > apps > gboard > uninstall updates. there you go
I had the same problem in your settings, I think the keyboard layout section(mode), and choose the split option i think its called, there should be 3 options to choose from. Made my keyboard smaller and more manageable

After using 4 years now I am Finally switched to Gboard to SwiftKey.
Because now gboard lag too much.

Are you going to make a new video about keyboard apps in 2024? I tried Swiftkey but after a day went back to Gboard. I had a feeling that Gboard often suggested wrong words to me. And with today's AI progression I thought surely there must be better, smarter keyboards out there that don't suggest words that don't make sense at all in the context of my sentence. I was looking for a keyboard that could understand the context and work on that with the word predictions. The new Swiftkey has Copilot (Bing AI) and looked really neat. I love using Copilot on a daily basis for all kinds of questions so having it in the keyboard is handy. But the thing that Switkey failed in was the language prediction. I use two languages (Dutch and English) and also prefer swiping to typing. But when I swype, it suggests English words while I meant to swype a Dutch word. Even after removing the wrong word and slowly swyping it again it still gave me the English word. Normally i'd switch to Dutch language on the keyboard but they seem to have removed the language button or it was never there on Swiftkey, I can't remember. Gboard does have it though but I barely use it. It always seems to know what language I am trying to type. So yeah, I'm also back to GBoard and conclude there simply is no better.

The themes on the gboard are BS, you can only select them with lightmode and nobody uses lightmode out of free will in 2023
last two months I have noticed major lag with Gboard on my Pixel 7. Anyone know why? Fix? Or just get a new keyboard?

gboard locks up every time I try to comment on a RUclips video. it literally wont work with their own apps. known issue for a loooong time with no resolution

I guess you have never looked at the amount of permissions the keyboards ask for in order to use them. I'm sure there is a reason for all these permissions but it's very doubtful that it's to benefit the actual user.

i thought the same bro, but i ran into this problem where it's hard for me to press the keys since i have big fingers. do you know any other keyboard apps that doesn't lag that much but has better key sizes

Swiftkey and gboard are absolutely terrible at swyping, why did swype do it better over decade ago. Gboard doesn't learn corrections you make and swiftkey gives terrible suggestions that make no sense and requires way too much accuracy swyping. Swype apk most in demand keyboard on android

honestly they're all TERRIBLE..They won't correct obvious as hell words but will keep in words like "abd" instead of "and" There is no such thing as a fast typing experience. Prove me wrong
