This is fantastic, I join the team at BACityflyer as cabin crew in October, this is after 30 years at LHR, I honestly can’t wait, this is a unique airport and Cityflyer has a great reputation !
The Brazilian dream came from Santos Dumont who was born in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil in 1873, was a Brazilian inventor and aeronaut, known as "The father of aviation". He was the first to design and build a dirigible balloon that took off, around the Eiffel Tower. The consecration came with the 14 Bis, the first heavier-than-air aircraft, which took off without the help of the winds, with a 50 horsepower engine and landed in the presence of the members of the Aeroclube de France. His dream came true with Brazilian Embraer, the third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world and the first in the manufacture of commercial jets with up to 150 seats.
⚠Actually, the E-Jets E2 are a completely new aircraft, are almost a clean sheet design. It counted on the knowledge Embraer had on the E-Jets E1 but all systems were revised, differently from other aircraft that were merely a re-engine (MAX and NEOs). New systems include: the 4th generation FULL FLY-BY-WIRE considered during the development phase that made possible to maintain the same size of the E1 vertical stabilizer and reducing (!!!) the HORIZONTAL STABILIZER - an amazing achievement considering the E2 is a much bigger aircraft. The reduction of the stabilizer reduces weight and drag leading to fuel burn savings. - LANDING GEARS are also new, with a trailing arm design that allows quicker and cheaper maintenance. - AVIONICS was completely revised and updated, wider and smarter screens, but keeping the usability similar to E1, favoring communality. - WINGs are also completely new, the most efficient in the single-aisle market, having one dedicated wing for each E2 model, not only one non-optimized design for the whole family (as the A220). E2 wings have the higher aspect ratio reducing drag and hence fuel burn. - The E2 has the biggest maintenance plan intervals in the category (10000 FH and no calendar limit). And opposite of what was said in the video, these developments led to a significant MAINTENANCE COST REDUCTION! - It is the quietest sincle-aisle aircraft and the fuel burn reduction goes to a level of about 25%! Bringing also a sustainability badge to these birds.🌿 This all to mention a few of the incredible features of the E2 PROFIT HUNTER. 🦁 And even what seems similar is actually also new. The FUSELAGE/cross-section was kept the same size due to the success of the 2+2 cabin seating, which provides flyers only aisle and window seats - NO MIDDLE SEAT!. Although the size is the same the manufacturing design was also revised and is new. INTERIOR is also new, with bigger BINS that allow ONE IATA STANDARD SIZE CARRY-ON BAG per passenger! 🛄
Tremendous job by Embraer! It's a shame P&W hasn't come up with all necessary fixes for their GTF design. Too many inflight shutdowns and premature wear. (at least the long engine start cycle was dealt with)
@@clzoschke Unfortunately all GTF models are facing some new tech entry into service mature necessities, but PW engines on E2 had NO BASIC IN FLIGHT SHUT DOWN. Although PW hardware is very similar to the ones in A220 some laws are different and also E2 is lighter (more than 2 tons lighter than A223) demanding less from the engines.
@@carolinaandrade6282 Growing pains are a natural part of introducing new technologies - been like that forever. Glad to hear that Embraer is not facing as many EIS issues as other make/models. I loved flying the PW1000, though! Great thrust with a miserly fuel consumption.
I'm watching the Embraer E195-E2 Arrival in London City Airport in London right now this is really Awesome I they'll be Able to start flying in The Caribbean Destinations after North America And European Destinations in the upcoming years but we'll wait to see what happens next.
I hope that British Airways City flyer and Lufthansa Cityline will take Interests in the New Embraer E195-E2 Jet in London City Airport in London even sign firm Orders with them as well but who knows what can happen along the line with both Airline Carriers I hope to fly with them soon whenever Visit London God's Willing Awesome Video!!!!
I can't wait to see the Embraer E195-E2 Jet too land into London City Airport in London since I'm watching this Video now from my home Country Barbados LOL I British Airways City Flyer should replace there exiting Embraer E190's fleet with the New Embraer E195-E2's Or The Embraer E190-E2's but we'll wait to see what happens next with British Airways City Flyer to make a decision Awesome Video Man!!!!
Oh wow sorry wasn't able to watch live due to work looking great Jerry this London city awesome so close to plane's wow loving behind the scenes well done to you both ✈️😃👍👏👏
Was here in Vero Beach, FL a few weeks back. Saw it on the ramp Sunday afternoon and saw it depart Monday morning. Really cool as we are a small town with a long recently refurbished runway. KVRB was a Naval Air Station back in WW II and thus the long main runway. Are there more than one of these aircraft out and about, or just the one?
used to love going into london city, used it several times with flybe from exeter, sadly we dont have anything now ,just gatwick via newquay . not the same
Didn’t know jfk took extra training - that must be a mission with the amount of traffic they have domestically and internationally to ensure sufficient crew have the right endorsements on their licence.
59:45 Absolutely greased and stuck that bad boy! Is LCY Embraers only or do you get the occasional Boeing in there apart from all of the little jets that take off?
Is more economic (- 25% fuel); Is more economic in maintenace; lands and takes off in less space; It has the highest number of passengers transported for short (limited) lanes; It has a much more attractive acquisition cost than its competitors; ... And the best of all. He is Brazilian and carries the best relationship of creativity, development, joy, and that dose of Santos Dumont. 🇧🇷. 🇧🇷. 🇧🇷. 🇧🇷

Surely the RAF C-130 that landed during the pandemic is "The largest aircraft ever to land at London City" ??

Always very interesting. All planes a beautiful works of engineering ✈
Its angle of descent is insane. Outstanding project.

Whale Sound, 59:41, beautiful!!!
Characteristic sound of the E2 I hear almost every day from the Azul Linhas Aéreas E-195E2 fleet.
Very nice, engine's look massive

Is LCY Embraers only or do you get the occasional Boeing in there apart from all of the little jets that take off?
LCY is strictly E Jets the A220 and prop driven aircraft. The runways arent big enough for boeings and noise is another big issue.
Also the 737 has to use max auto brake when it lands at Chicago Midway and barely makes it so there is no way it fits at LCY
So nice like to have been there to see it from scotland ,
And good morning Jilly 👋🏼
Go 🇧🇷
Honest question: what’s special about this plane? Is it a new model?
You can find all answers in the post made by Carolina Andrade, in this same page up there

In silhouette, it looks so much like the old stretched DC-8s.
E295 is the code for E2
If David Brent ran airports.

I wonder if they had to practice the flag waving procedure in the sim
Hello
Oi
Ou eu não entendo patavinas de inglês, ou esse cara não falou uma única vez a palavra EMBRAER. kkkkkkk...
