    Wow! Lowell, I have a painting you did of Vase of Carnations; dark teal background and vase, 3 pink carnations & 2 white. I found it at a used book store in Grande Ronde, OR a year or so ago. It looks like you painted it in '93. I couldnt believe it when I found this presentation.

    I just painted my kopie of your art. I'm totally beginner in acryl and I was able to paint a plicture that satisfied my level. I think acryl us a little bit more sticky as oil and it looks like you can blend oil colors better. The leaves where not so easy as it look when you do it. Many many thanks for this outstanding painting lesson.

    Odkrywam w sobie na emeryturze nowe pasje . Nigdy w życiu nie namalowałam żadnego obrazka, nie narysowałam jakiejś ładnej rzeczy, ale parę lat temu oglądając różne kanały kupiłam sobie farby akrylowe ,płótno, pędzle i szukałam siebie w różnych technikach. Wydaje mi się, że najlepiej czuje się w tworzeniu abstrakcji. Nie muszę tam idealnie narysować listka, a z tym mam ogromny problem. We wszystkim co robię jestem samoukiem. Jestem technicznie sprawna..ale nie do końca. Nie potrafię namalować ładnych liści ale z kwiatami jakoś mi wychodzi. Do dnia dzisiejszego namalowałam wiele obrazów różnymi technikami (suszarką rozlewane ,sznurkiem ,szpachelka) i ciągle to przeżywam. Tutaj widzę że to jest obraz olejny ....marzy mi się, ale nie wiem jak do tego podejść. Nie znam angielskiego i tylko patrzę. Znam tylko parę słów w celach turystycznych😂 😂😂 Pokazuję znajomym moje obrazy w internecie i na ogół się podobają , bo zachowuję ciepło w nich. Nie stosuję w obrazach agresji. Będę się przyglądała będę ćwiczyła ruchy, ale wydaje mi się że olejowe farby są podatne na takie płynne ruchy.

    Like Ben Stahl said, do it the hard and traditional way. You can't have such charisma and depth in a painting, otherwise.

    Was there some kind of audio filtering done with this? All the sounds of the brush strokes are completely muted it seems as though some kind of filter or noise reduction was done to the original audio, and I’m not in favor of it. I like hearing the sounds of the brush against the pallet or canvas. Could you confirm this?

    • @AAlexanderArt
      @AAlexanderArt  5 месяцев назад

      We like to hear the brushstrokes also. The only time we change the audio is if there is something like a background noise that would prevent us posting the video. If other sounds get removed as well we apologize.

      "Laura Phillips "Laurie" Anderson (born June 5, 1947) is an American avant-garde artist, musician and filmmaker whose work spans performance art, pop music, and multimedia projects. Initially trained in violin and sculpting, Anderson pursued a variety of performance art projects in New York during the 1970s, focusing particularly on language, technology, and visual imagery. She achieved unexpected commercial success when her song "O Superman" reached number two on the UK singles chart in 1981."
      "Lewis Allan Reed (March 2, 1942 - October 27, 2013) was an American musician and songwriter. He was the guitarist, singer, and principal songwriter for the rock band The Velvet Underground and had a solo career that spanned five decades. Although not commercially successful during its existence, the Velvet Underground became regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of underground and alternative rock music. Reed's distinctive deadpan voice, poetic and transgressive lyrics, and experimental guitar playing were trademarks throughout his long career."

      My name is Laurie Anderson. I worked with Bill Alexander for 11 years. Before he passed away he charged me with keeping what he started, alive. Alexander Art is my company and we filmed and still own the content that was produced for PBS from 1986-1994, which includes many of the shows you see here. I’m passionate about keeping Bill’s dream alive of teaching the world to paint and have made it one of my life missions to do.

      @@AAlexanderArt It's a shame that other people took the fame for themselves. Something they have Bill Alexander to thank for. But never appreciated it.
      Bill was a real artist.
