    I love my 91 LX Vert. But when I was growing up the GT was the car. It was the best looking car too. The GT convertible even more desirable. A GT convertible cost the most money to buy, the most expensive from the dealership. I love a notch too but the GT is still the best looking to me.

    I'm sorry, but the GT's were the boy racer Mustangs back in the day. Everyone I knew, including myself, liked the cleaner look of the LX, usually a hatchback. In my opinion, I didn't like the ground effects Ford put on them, but it was the 80's and everybody was doing it.

    The GT’s are very hard to find,I’ve seen notches that come out in the nice weather every once in a while and hatchbacks. More 4 cyl lx’s then anything but to see a nice GT it’s the rarest.I’m a lucky guy to have a emerald green on titanium. I love my GT and get compliments everytime I’m out with it. You also have to keep in my there was no 4 cyl GT’s all of them had factory v8’s. I love all foxbodys and have had a couple notchbacks but this GT is my fav.

    GT's are the best in my opinion. When I was a kid my neighbor had a white 93 gt took me for rides in it and I feel in love. Finally 20 years after those car rides I got my own mint condition white 93 gt and I'm in love with it.

    I agree with everything you are saying...the GT in the picture at the beginning of your video..is the exact color to my first GT......I bought in 1989.it was a 88.back in that year there is no way I would have had a LX..I didn't get a LX until almost 10 years later.as far as the jelly been SN95 I hated that car it plowed like a dump truck in curves and it was so down tuned..that a little grànny in a Toyota could out run... it's not a bad looking car if it would have come with about a 100 more Horsepower I could have maybe liked it maybe 😁

    I've had my share of lx foxbodies from hatches to coupes even 1 ssp coupe. But out of all those foxes I owned one GT. It was the smoke grey with the titanium on the bottom. Red pinstripe around the moldings. Also had the red interior with the tweed seats. I picked up that car in 2010 for $3300! I still wish to this day I kept it. So that being said, I am on the hunt for another one! Or if I can find that very car I will buy it on the spot. But for now, I just got out of a car payment with my 2013 Mustang GT in grabber blue. While the search is on for a fox, I am focusing more on getting my new garage built and business going. Then I'll be able to find that GT I have been desiring.

      The lx isn't that much lighter. It is quicker ecspecially a notch but they are expensive and hard to find there isn't THAT much difference between them people kind of exxagerate the weight difference honestly. It's not like there is a 500 lbs difference or something its prob less than 100 lbs between a loaded gt hard top and a stripped lx.

    i just picked up a 91 gt w factory sunroof option and of course its a stick lol. it has shorty headers, full exhaust, 410 or 11 gears, short throw shifter, gray interior, has a cervini twin turbo hood, and even still has the cheese graters. it was originally red but was painted black with dark gray stripes. the engine is stock never opened and there is no rust. the seats are in really great shape and only need a cleaning. the biggest thing it needs is a headliner which is nothing. has little over 120k on it 123k to be exact. has 2 gauges in the a pillar pod. silver cobra r 5 stars on it also. i paid 5600 for it which after looking for one for quite some time is a damn good deal. guy i bought it off of owned it for 25 years. it isnt my first fox though. im pretty excited to be back in a fox though for sure. especially for a good price which is quite impossible today. the paint on it now is good but i kinda want to return it to the oem red. we'll see though thats for sure. back in the day the gt was THE car to get period. almost forgot it has shaved door handles as well. problem is he lost the remote and i have no idea how to go about finding a remote that works.

    Have had my 88 GT vert for 20+ years now California car so it had mass air from the factory Lots of work done, by a professional shop. Original engine rebuilt and bored .060 over, HCI, headers, gears, aluminum driveshaft and radiator. Saved all the original parts in case I wanted to return to stock, 🤣 If not for the Cobra wheels and wide low profile tires, you'd think it was stock, until you opened the hood. Best bang for the buck then and now. Hold onto to yours, they're only going up in value.

    You're 100% correct. GTs were the must have Fox. My dad said that I should get the notch, I said not a chance, then he said you wait, they will be the most desirable of all of them. He was right. He even said at a Ford dealership that the most desirable fox notch would be the black on black with no options. The car was $11,000 back then. I wish he would have bought it. He knew his stuff!

    Everyone has there own opinions. For me personally I think with a muscle/pony car the cool factor is buying a stripped down no power options v8 under the hood and a stick shift. There light and built for one thing. Back in the day if you bought a GT or cobra you had the cash. But the street racers and guys who actually drove the cars bought an LX.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 2 года назад +2

      I mean I get what you're saying the lx is the more performance oriented option ecspecially the notch but they are hard to find and pretty expensive now and the performance isn't that much different between them. Weight matters but there isn't THAT much weight difference between them. I prefer the lighter model too if picking but like I said there isn't a huge weight difference between them. Just like the 94 up cars they are heavier but not THAT much heavier and still way lighter than today's cars and the 94 up cars are built better inside and out and come better equipped with 4 wheel discs, 5 lug, stiffer chassis and alot more room for wide tires etc etc and can be had much cheaper right now compared to fox bodies. The 96 up mod motor cars are more ideal for coyote swaps also since you can reuse alot of the oem components that have to be swapped when swapping a fox. The sn cars are the ones to get bang for the buck wise and they can really look badass with the right mods.

    While I’m not going to disagree with you about the Gt’s. I bought my first Mustang new in 1993. I had the choice of a Gt or a Lx 5.0. Since I had been hanging with the street racing crowd it was known that the Lx’s were a bit lighter. So, I went with the Lx 5.0. I always liked the way the tailpipes were exposed. Either way, enjoyed the video.

    I bought my 87 GT back in 2015 just before the prices started to go up and the reason I got the one I did was because almost all of them were completely clapped out, one had a barrel latch from a gate keeping the passenger door closed and they wanted (if I remember correctly) $2500 for it now because it had a bunch of aftermarket go fast parts on it, my 87 was completely stock AOD with manual windows and mirrors BUT power locks, cruse control, and rear window defroster in Scarlet Red and red/black interior and I picked it up for $2300 now a parts car is going for that much! I agree the GT's will start to become the hot one to have since I'm old enough to remember that the GT was the one everyone wanted back when these cars were new but they were expensive! then 10 years later as they became just old used cars many High Schoolers bought them and subsequently beat them to death! my guess is that most 5.0 Mustangs have been though High School at least once and probable more than that! Also Bill and Teds excellent Adventure had a vert in it.

    Nice publicity stunt....lets say that when this becomes true and your infinite wisdom in the fox market takes off ...you will have first dibs to all the notchback cars that are not getting bought then ......I ave a question ...
    when are you gonna own a ttop notch car or. Make a ttop conversion how to? ...just saying Mr TIP.

      You can never have too many of a good thing....notchback cars are getting old like wine not milk....
      Gt hatchbacks look hella good....Mr brew2L has a 2 tone paint gt ...vermilion red upper ...titanium silver lower...bad ads cart in its own right... NorthEastOhioMustang has a black hatch....killer set up...but it'isnt a NOTCH....the only way a hatch will look as good or be on the same level as a notch is to get a notch roof slapped on the hatchback body....that was my thought when you crushed that silver notch donor car with all the rusted bottom but good roof top....man I was cussing you the f_out but it is what it should not have happened to that notch roof....
      Thx for the content and thank you for inspiring us or at least some of you followers with your content.

      I have seen a 1988 convertible with a notch roof welded on here in the bay area....Oakland area to be exact....looked really good ..he kept the convertible doors on it and I said to myself ...well all this car needs is the ttop option on that car...
      I mean 87_88 notch ttop roof cars aren't cheap or up for sale for that matter....
      If you ever take a notch roof on a hatch or vert with ttop option.....well? we'll be watching non stop....
      This guys channel foxbody rehab is near you in Texas....Houston has a ttop swap for $700 ...its still on the car...ill try and find the link to it ...not pushing the idea ..I'm just resourceful man.

    Nice cars, you have quite a few. Have you ever had a problem with ignition switch killing motor after it cranks to life but the moment you let go of the key? If I edge the key back a hair after cranking it wil stay running.

    • @juantabby4787
      @juantabby4787 2 года назад

      @@TheInfamousProject yes the wire harness is tight and the guy I got it from put a new solenoid In a new solenoid. What I know of the 84 gt is Jim bought it in 85 and put in dry storage barn in 99. Some time this year sold it to a guy named devin who did the solenoid trying to get it running. So far no wires seem to be chewed up but I kno they were in the glove box and steering column. It’s actually in really great shape dash pad is minty, still has door jam stickers and factory yellow painted codes. It’s my first mustang since my 65 fastback got stolen Almost 20 yrs ago
