I'm a Member as well as an owner & avid player of a Solar A1.6ETWM & V1.6BOP & Satan 120W. Ola's Member Group is well worth the $5, (probably much more.) The content is valuable & interesting; & the live chats very enjoyable. I think the main thing I get out of it is, in a very small way, giving back to Ola for his altruism & open-hearted approach to the metal guitar community. It simply feels good to be part of the Ola/Solar family - simple as that. If you've gotten great info from Ola on the regular RUclips, you're likely to feel even more satisfied and enthusiastic as a Member.

Bonjour Ola ! Based on your experience as a listener and as a musician, where do you think the metal music is going? With the years, new components have taken place into the composition process (more strings on guitars, low tuning, combination with other instruments and electronic devices, fast tempos, slow tempos, etc.), which is why the genre is so wide, but how do you picture metal in the future?
Merci for your time, keep up the good work!

Ola huge fan. Love your work with The Haunted and I have recently found your channel here. I'm am always curious, when listening to other bands albums, what tends to catch your focus first. Guitars or drums? I'm a guitarist as well but I find that I focus on drums, and when learning songs I'm sometimes surprised by how the parts are played or sound because I missed it listening to the drums. I should add, I play the drums as well, but guitar is my first love. Anyway, big fan love your channel, very informative and brutal as hell!

Hi, Ola. I have a question unresolved for decades. I think you are the right person to answer, because you are a Swedish guy.
I’m a long time death metal fanboy since late 90s. One day I realized that too many Swedish metal band appears in my random playback. Quickly skimming list of artists in my playlist, here they are(ordered by preference, crudely).
Dissection(RIP Jon Nödtveidt), At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Carnal Forge, Defleshed, The Crown, Necrophobic, Hypocrisy, In Flames, Meshuggah, Dark Tranquility, Witchery, Entombed, Dismember, Darkane, Soilwork, Dimension Zero, Edge of Sanity, Infestdead, Luciferion, Unleashed, Vermin, Yngwie Malmsteen, Mattias Eklundh, Pain of Salvation…and more. The list will be much longer if Norway and Finland are included.
Note that ‘too many Swedish’ thing is not intended at all, since I just picked evil-looking CDs in a record shop to find new metal artists.
It is like…..bloody Swedish is united with Norway and Finland to hack my brain and to eat up my iphone storage. What is so special(or wrong or fucked up) with Sweden and Scandinavia? Why are there so many metal band? What Swedish stuff made you become a sarcastic metalhead? (“Doom” in my case)

Hey man, have you tried LePou amp plugins? Apparently they have ENGL Powerball, Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, Marshall something and a soldano amplifier simulators and they seem to sound pretty close to the actual amplifiers however i never had the chance to plug my guitar into one of these amplifiers thus i can not compare. These plugins are free and it'd really really be great if you kind of tried those out and compared those to the real ones. It'd definitely help me decide whether i should quit this plugin crap and buy a decent tube amplifier instead. I have a Blackstar HT1RH from the first gen which doesn't chug at all and a broken bugera 6262 which my friend spilled some drink while it was turned on around 7 years ago and i can't remember how it sounded. I recently got back into playing seriously so i'd really be happy if you did review these plugins. I believe it's probably my fault that these amp simulators still kind of sound so digital, that there's something missing to my ears.

The reason why people like watching stuff that isnt gear related is that you have a cool, funny, likable, relatable personality. This is why i think you should do more on your gaming channel, and make it appeal to a wide audience. Because gaming already appeals to a large audience, you'll grow in viewership greatly with consistent uploading, and come across great monetization opportunities.
People enjoy YOU, Ola, not only your rad skills, knowledge and gear. Capitalize on that.

Digging the Hollow Knight in the background. Also, could you give some tips on "the first tour"? Like, the very first one a band has.

Hej Ola! Will you consider having a Solar model with locking tuners while not having the Evertune bridge? What do you think about Rammstein? Suggestion for swedish word of the day: "Prick". Tack för superunderhållande videos! :)

Do you still have the Yamaha's HS-8 that you were previously using and are those monitors that much better?

Hey Ola, quick question... Where in chain to you place your Gate? Are you using the sends and returns? I’m throwing a pedalboard together and trying to figure out where I should be putting it. Cheers!

Hi Ola, I know that these vids are not gear oriented but I want to know your opinion between buy a classic mesa booguie or a rectoverb to get the rectifier sound. There is any difference? I want to go for my first Mesa amp. Cheers. Love your vids dude

( former members of Entombed ) Obviously not a new band or anything, I love it, just curious of your opinion.

Hi Ola! Is it comfortable to play the guitar sitting when the armrests of the chair are attached? I always remove any armrests.

Olá Ola, another curious fact about Brazil (besides that your name means "hello") is that we have a condom brand called Olla. After learning a bit of swedish with your videos, everything started to make sense

Hola Ola, im a guitarist with no band but a ton of songs written, I’m currently recording them on my own at the moment, I’m wondering if you have any advice on some of the best ways to get my music out there, until I can get a band together. Also love your videos man! Cheers 🤘
