the reason why everything is so much smaller, is because imagine that a button that is 100 pixels in length would be 2.6cm, but in a higher resolution display, the pixels are much more dense, and so 100 pixels would be much smaller in reality

About that darkness of monitor, im not sure if you like it or not. But in case you dont i had same problem. When i bought it it was dark as hell, and i was dissapointed. Brightness was on max, but thing i figured out its that not only brightness affect your monitor brightness, its also game mode! You can switch game mode in monitor menu (Gamer1, Gamer2, FPS, RTS and etc.). What it does its it changes other parameters like gamma, contrast and things like that, im not sure. So i hope it helps!
I tried that but it made the automatic dimming even worse so it was borderline unusable
Make sure hdr is off

this is what i play cs on compared to the other resolutions, it makes everything look good even on low settings....
You should get a sleeve if your hand sticks to the mousepad, lot of people use sleeves with glass mousepads for that reason.(me included)
Yea but if I'm sweating my ass off already, a sleeve would be the least comfortable thing

Yep it's literally a technology to counter the ips panel contrast issue

its not dark its OLED each pixel is its on light source and it has infinite contrast so it appears darker.. believe it or not thats how its supposed to look not what we are used to on lcd displays

@skripe found it.. this monitor is gen 1 oled probably.. if i were you id return it and buy the qd oled panel from Alien ware 360hz 2k its a better monitor with fewer issues u could watch a review about it before tho

480hz is such an overkill, it also probably will cost like 5 gazillion dollars
@@skripe I mean, really depends. If not, you're going for maximum immersion in your games, I understand you classify 480hz as overkill, but if you really want to seem like you're in the game, it's a must-have.
But idk about FPS games since my PC has literal 2014 pre-historic Paleozoic era hardware so my 240hz monitor is basically useless (but it's cool for watching po... popcorn! Yes! Movies and... stuff)
i stretch res on my widescreen natively, kinda destroying the point of widescreen, but when i have it at the default 2560x1080, everything looks mad skinny, small, and tall, fucking weird

Dude -windowed in settings and up your brightness and contrast in nvidia panel... just play in window mode... I play so much in lcd monitor... so I know... блять нахуй я с ошибками пишу переводи сам скрайп))) крч в окне играй в кс2 на тёмном мониторе!
