Really love the mood and vibe of your book videos, watching you all the way from Singapore! ❤ I’ve never heard of The Other Valley before this and the way you described the book really intrigued me! Definitely adding that to my TBR. 🎉 so glad you enjoyed The Silent Patient. I read that yearssssss back & will never forget that plot twist!!!

When The Moon Hatched has been sitting on my Kindle staring at me for what feels like MONTHS! I feel like sometimes those big chunky fantasy tomes are easier to read on my Kindle, as I don't really feel how long they are and my eyes can handle skimming more than when I'm reading a physical book lol. You've convinced me though, I'm gonna get started today!

Yeah I would HIGHLY recommend tackling it on Kindle! I kind of wish I had done that instead of committing to the physical book because it was a lot and was intimidating at times. But definitely still worth it to power through. And the physical book was so pretty I couldn't help myself, haha.

@@olivesbooknook as a girl who can clearly distinguish between her reading hobby and her book buying hobby, this one WILL be added to the shelves if I get through it on my kindle - the cover is GORGEOUS

Love the consolidation of the June + July wrap up! I've heard SUCH good things about When the Moon Hatched. I think I'm going to listen to the audiobook and read it on the kindle since IT'S SO HUGE! Silent Patient was a wild ride for me but I actually really enjoyed it! Such a good reading month! Your voice is also so articulate, I love it!

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. I’m personally not a huge audiobook person, but I think doing when the moon hatched on kindle is a GREAT idea. It really does feel big, and that was intimidating to me while I was reading it haha.
And the silent patient - ahhhh. Such a wild ride!!

It's the first time I hear/watch a clear explanation of Dark Matter and The other valley sounds the right fit for me, so I had to added to my wishlist

I think you would like The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown. It’s kind of a time-travel-y, multi-dimensional, mysterious type of story that was really fascinating and hard to put down. A very cool concept for a book.

I don't think Sarah M. Parker is a debut author; the book was self-published and then got picked up by a traditional publisher, but as far as I'm aware she'd written other books before this one.
I read Dark Matter back when it came out and the experience convinced me to never pick up another Blake Crouch book. They shouldn't market his books as sci-fi, it's just one action scene after another with silly characters making nonsensical decisions.

Ah I must have missed that with Sarah M Parker! I might have just thought that this was the traditional one. Thanks for clarifying!
And yeah I feel ya…it really wasn’t my favorite. I know some people love that type of thing but agreed, the characters were so lackluster to me I just cannot.

The Silent Patient is one of those books I would only read for a book club. I'm curious but it's so far out of my comfort zone.

It was really far outside of my comfort zone too but I’m so glad I read it. It was such a good one - but I get it! It was really fun reading it with other people.

Hi! I really enjoy listening to the thoughts you share. 'When the Moon Hatched' has been on my list for some time now, but I didn’t realize the length of the book. 😅 Now I’m thinking about reading it on a Kindle

I kinda wanna read When the moon hatched because the cover is pretty lolol and i might give dark matter a chance only because i love comparing hollywoods take on it. I love cinema.

I liked WTMH, you should definitely give it a try. And if DM sounds interesting to you then you'll probably like it! It is fun to see the difference in a TV show or movie vs the books.
