You have no idea how much I enjoyed this it was very entertaining, it took me back to 1982 when I was 19 years oldest and watching this at the ,theater thank you for this🙂👍
Marvelously done! Thumbs up, sir! And I recognize the narrator's voice -- I had a Star Wars "book-and-tape" set that he narrated when I was a kid ("Droid World")
This like a movie of my mind. When I was 7 I'd have whole episodes like this. I had about everything available in star trek toys. My grandfather was a soft touch. Most kids can only see this with the help of device now. I escaped into my own imagination. You younger ones can Google what that is.
Great job! This is still my favorite Star Trek of all time. Very hard to come by these figures now but I'm trying. Alladin looks like he had too much coffee. Haha.
The actual Wrath of Khan figures there are pricey as hell now even loose so I don't doubt that. The only ones I own are Khan and Saavik. The Khan figure used here is the Playmates version versus the later Art Asylum one like the other figures. Both are good, but the AA one is much more detailed.
Bravo man! That was excellent work! Great use of the audio tape. And I just heard STII TWOK is being rereleased to theatres again soon for the 35th anniversary. Best Sci Fi movie ever made imo
Awesome production. Wrath Of Khan is the best Star Trek Movie in my opinion. Space Seed and Unification were the best tv episodes of any Star Trek series. Thanks for showing.
Obviously it isn't point accurate in every case, but I appreciate the audiobook's narrator making some effort to read the dialogue with appropriate intonation and accents for each of the characters. All of them are immediately recognisable as who they're meant to be. Great job creating the visuals. This actually a pretty fun little retelling of the movie!
Loved it! It's like Cliff Notes or Reader's Digest condensed books for "The Wrath of Khan!" The stop motion animation using pre-designed action figures was quite good & adding in He Man & Aladdin as extras?! Made me laugh SO hard! Kudos & thank you for sharing.
Full impulse power Dame you !!!!!! Simply awesome I'm a big fan of Star trek II the wrath of khan .l also have a big collection of St II TWOK memorabilia. .l have the figures and ships even 45 record and type that you used l have other item that are khan related from TOS and TWOK not a lot of suff was made back when when the movie come out. I recently put away my collection. I relly enjoy what you did .l hope to see more . Live long and prosper 🖖🖖🖖🖖
I'm surprised you make a gripe about Chekov replacing Terrell's role in this scene but make no issue with the fact that Capt. Terrell all but disappears in this version, his death/suicide and presence "magically" glossed over. This is another reason I believe they faded the Reliant Capt. into the background. Notice how they even gloss over Spock's death a little. I also think Scotty being in and out of consciousness suffering from radiation exposure (and apparently poisoning) was also another subject that was probably (and maybe still is) a touchy subject for Disney to package up for the tykes (Just in case you didn't know matvangogh, Buena Vista Records' parent company is Disney). And, think of how much space the writer saves and censorship issues he sidelines by just simplifying a few elements and making minor adjustments here and there.
I am here to defend dyna74 because she (or he?) is not responsible for the goof. And if you want to really get at the heart of the matter, it's actually, technically, really NOT a goof, rather a revision that was made to the story by whoever Buena Vista Records hired to write to the script for this program. And just to make it sure, during the mid to late 70's up until at least the late 80's, Buena Vista Records produced dozens (perhaps more than a hundred) Book&Record combos, as well as Book&Tape combos, of MANY of the great films that came out at those times. Each one of these ran roughly 12 minutes in length, had a noise that let you know "when it was time to turn the page". For example, in the Star Trek series it was the beeping and chirping of the communicator, in the Star Wars ones R2-D2 let us know, and so forth. Not only were the Trek and Wars films adapted, but many other great films like Black Hole, Tron, E.T., Goonies, Gremlins, etc., etc. When the writers of these programs wrote their scripts, they had to not only condense down a 2 hour film into a 12-minute script, but they had to make it accessible and understandable to their target audience, primarily kids between the ages of 3-10. As a result, while still being faithful to the source material, these writers often took "artistic liscense" to make small changes in the story that helped simplify what would normally be a complex story point. By glossing over the points you raised, the writer was able to get through this part of the story much faster while keeping the overall narrative components intact. Those are the facts. Now for some opinion: In other words, changing the "would be killer" from Terrell to Chekov makes logical sense because Chekov is a main character from the overall series and would be featured more than a Book&Record "day player" like Terrell (No offense Mr. Winfield, may you rest in peace). This is of course my opinion, but it makes sense, especially when you compare and contrast the rest of the script from the Book&Record set against the actual ST II:TWOK screenplay. As far as the change between Scotty and McCoy, I think this lies somewhere in the area of censorship, as does the Chekov/Terrell debacle..
Sorry matvangogh, but by your very comments you show your age and lack of research. The incorrect story content in this short film that you correctly identified has NOTHING to do with what dyna74 has done. If you want to gripe about Trek minutiae, it should be directed at Buena Vista records, and about 30 years ago. Time for a little history lesson!! Let me get my glasses and sit down. See, before the days when it was fashionable to own and watch VHS, Beta-Max, and/or LaserDisc movies in your own home (let alone DVD, Blu-Ray, streaming, etc.), us nerds and Trekkies of that pre-digital era had many other alternatives to bring our favorite films and television shows into our homes that may seem quaint to you by today's standards. Sure, back then we could buy episodes of Trek, on reels of 16mm film no less, provided one owned the proper projection and sound system, but at a price range between $250-500 for EACH episode, who could really afford to get the whole series? And audio taping the episodes was a common practice, but it just wasn't the same. I could go on and on about the truncated b&w and color 8mm "abridged" film reels, the still film slides, or even the much loved Fotonovels (and yes, that is spelled correctly-QUICK! Add it to your dictionary!), or many other products, but I digress. I trust my point has been made. Now, with all of that established, on to your gripes about discontinuity.
This is the best thing I have seen on RUclips for a long time although maybe you should do a special edition where you swap around Sulu and check offs roles
If anyone out there (the actual writer himself?) knows the behind-the-scenes stories on these Book&Record sets, I'd appreciate it if someone could hip me to a site if such a one exists.
Very accurate anime with toy figures! Some of the dialects were a little off and remember during the last battle, Reliant had lost one of her main engines but otherwise, VERY GOOD 👍!
This is more enjoyable than than Star Trek Discovery.
way more ! ;)
Not saying much.
I love how he used Aladdin and He-Man as part of Khans team
Starguard ! OMG Aladdin looks like a total psychopath!
How about the fact that Janeway was a part of the Enterprise crew in the first bridge shot. XD
Lol ikr
After seeing that I had to watch the whole thing 🤣
Same! XD
Came for the title. Stayed for the quality production values.
Seriously, great work!
10yrs on and the algorithm delivers me this 😀 imagine having only experienced the story via the audio story!
You have no idea how much I enjoyed this it was very entertaining, it took me back to 1982 when I was 19 years oldest and watching this at the ,theater thank you for this🙂👍

HE MAN was a crew mate of Khan.
thats. was. f***g great!

Glad that was put in when the read along took it out.
Thats some impressive set design! Well done!!
Best movie on the Internet? Yes. Yes it is.
What Terrel don't blow him self away ?.
This deserves wayyyy more views
Marvelously done! Thumbs up, sir!
And I recognize the narrator's voice -- I had a Star Wars "book-and-tape" set that he narrated when I was a kid ("Droid World")
I just found this video today. I love the effort!
you will know it is time to turn the page when you hear the computer beeps...
GREAT JOB! MY FAVORITE STAR TREK MOVIE IN 12 MIN! I want to see more of these. THANKS AND LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.
Dr. Marcus got some tig ole bitties.
Class (: God whoever dose Khans voice is spot on !
Love the simplification of the eel scene. For kids. (Squeal, squish.) Once Khan had control over their minds...
As if kids weren't watching the movie anyway... I love marketing.
This like a movie of my mind. When I was 7 I'd have whole episodes like this. I had about everything available in star trek toys. My grandfather was a soft touch. Most kids can only see this with the help of device now. I escaped into my own imagination. You younger ones can Google what that is.
I havn't heard that voice since I was a little kid listening to star wars return of the jedi audio tape. hehe that brings me back
This is top notch!! Sounds like Shatner doing the narration!
Dr Marcus keeps herself in shape
Dr. Marcus didn't look even close to nearly that hot.
Im glad they had credits at the end because I wanted to know her name. She's too fine!
" I am a Vulcan , I have no ego to bruise ".
Dr. Marcus has had some serious...enhancements!!!
Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed this! Bravo!
Love that you threw in the classic Khan yell which was missing in the read along book set.
Great job! This is still my favorite Star Trek of all time. Very hard to come by these figures now but I'm trying. Alladin looks like he had too much coffee. Haha.
Loving the narrator’s voice.
Voices for cast impressive too.
Pretty close. Having a "Ken" as David would have been icing on the cast cake.
It is very interesting that they're doing this in toys
this is awesome I hope they can do one for an hour
robot- chicken
Well done, kudos to all involved ~ the sets are amazing!!👏👏👏
I had this tape. It was brilliant.
He-Man and Aladdin are fed up! LOL!!!!!!!!
Aladdin looks psycho!
Yep!😂😂😂
@@ForceMaximus84 he sure does!
Nailed Ricardo Montalban!😂
I had the record that was used for the audio when I was a kid. What a crazy bit of nostalgia, hearing it again. Thank you!
Me too!
I bet the resale value of those toys would pay for a full feature xD
The actual Wrath of Khan figures there are pricey as hell now even loose so I don't doubt that. The only ones I own are Khan and Saavik. The Khan figure used here is the Playmates version versus the later Art Asylum one like the other figures. Both are good, but the AA one is much more detailed.
This really is awesome! Great use of action figures and backdrops!
Fantastic!!! Can we get any of Filmation animators to do Wrath of Khan as a 1970s ST:TAS episode (complete with Ray Ellis' music, of course)?
LOL, funny video.
I gots to get me those action figures.
Bravo man! That was excellent work! Great use of the audio tape. And I just heard STII TWOK is being rereleased to theatres again soon for the 35th anniversary. Best Sci Fi movie ever made imo

Aladin and He-man hahaha, Great video :)
love the Aladin in the back ground 1:30
This is fabulous. You made my day.

I love this. You used the book & tape Star Trek: 2 adaptation. I used to have that bookset.
Hehe. He-Man is one of the Chippendales or Joachim.
I think that was well done.
You did a great job....
Thanks
the voice over is really good...
terrific work!!! A+
0:29 "Captain, you are old and useless. You shouldn't be working at a desk on Earth you should be out in space."

Is the audio from a children's audio book? Awesome job!
Actually pretty good!
This is brilliant! 🙌🏼😊
This is Amazing ! Thanks for making it !
I like this.
Audiobook seems to have a good one.
great job!
Carol Marcus was smokin hot!!!
Still better than that JJ Abrams bollox
My new favorite video on YT
wait, Spock never mindmelded with Bones! He never transferred his Kotra! Spock is truly dead!!
Aric Dilbeck these story books are true canon
Well, that's that sequel knackered then, innit?!

7:29 KHAAAAN! KHAAAAN!
I wish for Johnny Lightning Legend of Star Trek ships for Christmas.
The events of The Wrath Of Khan would be the best "temporal causality loop" to be caught in!!
Awesome job!
Nice job. Entertaining.
Yes it was...I should have waited till the end of the credits.
That was fun and funny.
Galaktisch😊✌️❤️
I would love to see The Search for Spock or Final Frontier as a Toy Movie :)
Very well done 👍
I always wished I'd collected the Playmates toys to do something like this
that was friggin' awesome! Really enjoyed that.
Bravo!!
Excellent movie
where did u get these toys!
OMG! I've got those Johnny Lightning models of the Enterprise and the Reliant. I haven't got the ones with the battle damage.
The Khannn! yell is perhaps the most embarrassing moment in Star Trek history.
After all the first season of TNG.
Awesom
I absolutely love these vids!! Thank you
Well Dr Carol Marcus is definitely Kirk's type........
This is pretty cool.
Music: James Horner(1982)
This is epic
Loved it you got most of the story right.
Link to the toys?
Nice story!
Was this audio really a cassette/record from the early 80s?
Sorry matvangogh, but by your very comments you show your age and lack of research. Ricardo Montelblan impersonation isn't bad.
but Aladdin even better!

7:29 Somebody could have bought a rare screaming Kirk figure for the take.
