Alright, always in the topic of ultimate gifts, I got to defend veterans on this one. I'm not a veteran myself in Sky (I only started mid-Assembly), but I've been into games with collectibles. Ultimate Gifts are much like an additional gift from TGC for participating the season. They've used money, time, and effort to participate into the events and unlock the spirits' friendship tree. Not to mention, said spirits' friendship tree becomes FREE once they become a travelling spirit, so Adventure Passes' worth becomes little to none if everything becomes free eventually. Moreover, it's the person's problem if they think that ultimate gifts affect their experience in sky, considering I've ubered many moths through Sky, with little to no cosmetics, they still found the game fun. After all, cosmetics really don't have any use but to make your own version of a sky kid. Though ask yourself, including the others that think that UGs should return, is your intent really "So other Sky Kids can enjoy the cosmetics!" or is it really "I'm mad at veterans and I'm jealous they have this and that thing!"?

Especially for new players. You get items for free via the Travelling spirit but do you even realise how unsustainable it is? It is the perfect recipe for burning players out. You get only 2 Travelling spirit over the span of 1 entire month during a season and that schedule is set for 8-9 months a year. Now imagine 4-5 years into the game....you will realise that candle running for even 3 whole years is not enough to complete past season's seasonal spirit. This is exactly what makes the game grindy and tiresome and its happening even now as we speak, if anything once a player feels burned out he or she will eventually quit in the near future and it have happened right before my eyes to multiple of my newer friends. And into this mix throw in the possibility of repetition (*cough* weasel I'm looking at you), for example if people liked the yeti pants from Season of dreams, you can kiss it good bye for a solid 2 years if tgc wants to...(its already happening with dismiss, juggler and jelly) And I'll directly quote your claim "Moreover, it's the person's problem if they think that ultimate gifts affect their experience in sky," So is sky the Atlantic ocean? So why are they getting so triggered? Weren't they the one beating their chest with pride expressing how "loyal" they are to TGC? but yet some cosmetic is more than enough to make them quit? As a business you NEED new comers, you NEED the influx of fresh money. And here they are making the game just more and more unappealing. This very thing happened with my own boyfriend. He is premium gamer, I am myself am a 100% collector but even I cannot keep up with him. He is just on another level of spending that i cannot keep up with. When i invited him to this game, he played it for 4 month, never did candle run, unlocked UG on first day and then he took a break for some month but he missed out on the Anubis mask, when I told him to come back, he asked me Him: "Are the UG coming back?" Me: "Mostly likely consider it No" Him: "fk it, keep em i don need it" This is just one case and this is not even 2 years into the game. The amount of insults I have seen towards newer players are ridiculous and dissing new players saying they have psychological problem that tgc cannot solve if newbies are so obsessed with certain items. I really don't wanna go there and give personal attacks but they literally went there themselves. In the future, 5 or 6 years later, I cannot see myself still clutching onto some pixels in game that i paid $10 bucks for and call that an achievement, My life isn't THAT sad and miserable to be still staying bitter and petty about some virtual hair or umbrella 5 years later. Spending 15 minutes doing some seasonal quest for less than 2 months to get a virtual hair isn't what i would call the biggest achievement of my life. Unless hard work according to your definition means: 15 minutes seasonal quest = 2 hours full candle run through all the realms Candle run that newbies have to do for the upcoming Travelling spirits endlessly for the years to come just to catch up. Newbies are working equally as hard as the veterans did if not more (although still don't think it breaks your back to spend 10 to 15 mins doing the season quest). Both are paying Money. Its only a matter of who did it earlier than the other. No one is more deserving than the other. Everyone deserves a chance. Yup I recognize one player who is a heart beggar (I knew this person thru another fren of mine who warned me she will ask for LOTS of heart donations, but I nvr expected it to b this bad tbh). Whenever she comes over to find me, it's always to ask for heart donations which I always reject after she didn't return me the heart even when she said she would return afterwards. If that didn't make things worse, after quite some time (I think ard 1-3 months?) she came to find me at home while I was chilling with frens once again but not for heart donations instead a full realm candle run. I rejected because I'm already done with my run and it's like......1-2am on my side so nope. Even though I rejected she insisted that I bring her to forest which was her worse realm which annoyed me till no end during that time. After that rejection she didn't come and find me anymore, guess that's a good thing.
I’ve encountered quite a few players like this, and I always block them. It seems rude at first, but if some girl keeps coming and interrupting you and your friends while you’re trying to have a good time, blocking them is a good idea. Even if you unblock them afterwards, it’ll teach them that doing that isn’t okay, and they’ll get better. I unlock chat with a lot of moths just to teach them what’s okay and what isn’t, it’s worth it, and it’s your job as a veteran.
4 TIPS I DO: 1. *If you wanna light someone, try to do a signal or an action to let them know* I usually tap my head or bow to them. Then I light my candle. Be respectful if they don't light you. There's always a next time :) 2. *Help other people* If someone has a problem (Door perhaps?)....try to help them and do an action infront of them. They usually light candles and bow to you as a thank you. 3. *Buy the chair cosmetics* (Yes, really). This is really important if you'd like to talk with other people. Language and communication is the key. It has helped me meet many international friends :D 4. *If you really want hearts then you have to play fairly* If someone gives you hearts, you also give it back. If you don't have candles then don't get the heart unless you have it. Be a supportive friend, not a hoarder. This is one of my problems since I'm shy to ask for hearts so I visit them and talk first to make sure if they'd like to exchange.
My friends tell me I don’t need to give hearts back, and they sometimes surprise me with hearts gifts. I don’t give hearts back, am I a hoarder for that?

I think there's no need to do number 1. I just straight up light people but immediately stop when people run away from me. I always give hearts back but usually, it's people who doesn't give hearts back to me. So I decided to be petty and only send a heart if they send it first
Yep I can agree with the veteran life. I'm mainly on my own and usually just play music in random places or just run around collecting. I tend to buy lots of refill potions too since normally I don't have anyone around to help refill my wing. Back when I was a moth and still new I had a whole group of friends and we'd hang out a lot. The whole group together. But a couple left sky, some got distant, and in general the group is no more. I had other friends out of the group but they left sky too for whatever reason I don't know. I still have one friend I met from my new to sky time but even they don't play like they used to. Sad lonely sky life lol. I also sometimes find moths and just depending on how well I understand what they need help with I'll help them though I also noticed that most of them just ultimately leave sky too. It's always sad to me seeing a moth that quit sky. I meet and try to become friends with some also but most I meet speak another language and I can't understand them. Nor can they understand me. I've tried translating but constantly trying to figure out what they're saying and trying to translate what I say takes up a lot of time and what I say doesn't always translate correctly. I don't mind having to translate but it's not ideal time wise for both me and the other person.

To sky kids getting out of mothhood: don't be entitled to the help and fun vets and other sky kids offer you. Be thankful they help/uber you with CR, Eden, regular infodump and fun OOB trips. Remember that they don't owe you anything. They do nice things because they are nice sky kids and they want this game to be fun for you too. Don't abuse other people's niceness. Return the niceness with niceness.
When I was a moth a veteran friended me and the brought me to all of her friends. They dragged me everywhere and help me out a lot. Quite a few of them have become such good friends. It’s the best. ☺️❤️
One time i was doing the 4 player quest for assembly And then we had 4 It wouldnt activate... So we just friended eachother out of mutual frustration Then a 5th random joined and it finally activated We all became friends through thia experience

I have been playing sky myself ever since I started playing this game and I still can’t find any friends, except for some of my irl friends but they all have their own Sky friends so it feels awkward to hang out with them too. The reason why I couldn’t find any friends is that I have social anxiety. I always fear that I wouldn’t make up conversations or my English is very bad and the whole situation will be very awkward for the person and I.
I'd say I had a pretty solo moth journey, but I met a few other moths eventually. I took a break from the game just after completing Hidden Forest, and somehow made friends when I returned. Most of them were other moths or relatively new players. Thankfully, two friends (who I'm still friends with today and see occasionally) helped guide me through Wasteland, which was the realm I procrastinated on completing for a while. I made more friends after becoming more experienced (idk if I'm a veteran, but I understand everything there is to know about the game now, and I got some cool cosmetics). I think I have more veteran/experienced friends than moths, but I do have several moth friends, most of them are inactive :'( I've never asked for a heart trade, and I didn't know what it was for a while. I'm always up for one whenever a friend asks for it. I've never chatted with most of my friends on Sky. There's a certain beauty in non-verbal communication. My main method of getting hearts these days is by lighting my constellation every day and collecting the heart pieces. It takes patience, but the hearts do come. I also get them from spirits.
Okay just. How do people get so many likes on their candle or paper boat notes? I try to come up with funny or sweet ones but no one ever likes them :(
I've made friends with other players waiting at the first 4 player door in Vault. We were 3 people and waited at least 20min for a 4th person, we placed props and emote spammed. But we wasted so much time that I just friended them and got us in in with Chibi Fall instead. They were really thankful and we finished the CR in Vault together. Another time it was a similar, but someone else was the Chibi and I was really thankful. That's how I got 4 active friends that light constellations daily. ^-^
My sis and I played together with this game, we are still new to his game , one time we meet our friend from America and yes we got closed but only in a short time she rarely online and yes rn she didn't on it makes us sad, but I maybe she got bored or theres a reason behind it , me and my sis always on at this game since we both love it , but sometimes it's boring when I dnt see my f other friends online , but at least my sis was there to help me (❁´◡`❁)

I’ve played since gratitude, but I have been on and off, I skipped rhythm then came back after, I then left again and skipped enchantment, became active during Sanctuary, Prophecy and dreams then skipped little prince and assembly. I’m back now but I have a really funky hodgepodge of cosmetics, but I don’t know if I’m a veteran or not, I certainly feel like one tho lonely af.
This makes me realize that I suck at making friends both in real life and in game. I've been solo-ing everything since I'm a 2 or 3 days old moth. I only had someone with me on my 1st day.
I'm glad the veterans are mostly nice to moths. I don't understand why you wouldn't be, if they friend you just let them. Hearts for you, more friends, and they will remember you. Even the argument of that they just leave the game usually doesn't really make sense. If that happens, just block them if they go missing for a while and it gets annoying.
I'm new to playing the game- I already went thru all the realms and have some costume stuff so not a "moth", but I don't know any of the etiquette or terms or anything, so it's confusing trying to befriend people. Especially when people grab your hand it's like, idek know where I'M going, I can't help you friend 😔 or people doing expressions at me and I have to go hunt down an expression because I don't remember where they all are. I've only chatted with one friend and we just said "hi" to each other. 😅 It's still fun though. (Also wait, you can get hearts from the comments? I thought that just meant liking a comment I didn't know it meant actual hearts---)
I don’t quite trust people in sky, my friends would normally betray me by letting me alone all the time because of their offline excuses. Even if they are online they would just ignore me
Maybe because people have lives outside of sky? People sometimes just log in to do quick errands in sky and aren't very willing to be socializing rn... I do it sometimes but it's bc my life is tiring.
If I have to guess I'm in the sky kid zone? And even tho I am obsessed with practising music and doing my daily cr and tasks I still feel lonely. I'm not rly noticed by ppl. So maybe what I need to do is join a sky discord that encourages friend making idk. But I'll try to look more social. Maybe if I get some fancy cosmetics it'll help

They tend to have the free or cheap cosmetics and only a few Winged Light. • Sky Kids are more advanced players. They have been through Eden a few times and know a lot. Got some nice cosmetics and props. Probably 9 or 10 Winged Light. • Veterans have been playing for a LONG time. They know everything there is to know. Have lots of (expensive) cosmetics and props and most likely 11 Winged Light. Those titles just indicate how long and much someone has played Sky. || Newbie > Advanced > Pro || Hope that helps, you're not dumb for being unfamiliar with the terms! ^^

Candle run that newbies have to do for the upcoming Travelling spirits endlessly for the years to come just to catch up.
Newbies are working equally as hard as the veterans did if not more (although still don't think it breaks your back to spend 10 to 15 mins doing the season quest). Both are paying Money. Its only a matter of who did it earlier than the other. No one is more deserving than the other. Everyone deserves a chance.
Veterans, Including myself, bro, We only joined the game earlier than you...the company and some simps are out here acting like we have made the cure to cancer or something. Its not that deep.
As long as its not free, if they make you work for it or inflate the price (real money), screw it. go buy it if you like it idc.

Yup I recognize one player who is a heart beggar (I knew this person thru another fren of mine who warned me she will ask for LOTS of heart donations, but I nvr expected it to b this bad tbh). Whenever she comes over to find me, it's always to ask for heart donations which I always reject after she didn't return me the heart even when she said she would return afterwards. If that didn't make things worse, after quite some time (I think ard 1-3 months?) she came to find me at home while I was chilling with frens once again but not for heart donations instead a full realm candle run. I rejected because I'm already done with my run and it's like......1-2am on my side so nope. Even though I rejected she insisted that I bring her to forest which was her worse realm which annoyed me till no end during that time. After that rejection she didn't come and find me anymore, guess that's a good thing.
I’ve encountered quite a few players like this, and I always block them. It seems rude at first, but if some girl keeps coming and interrupting you and your friends while you’re trying to have a good time, blocking them is a good idea. Even if you unblock them afterwards, it’ll teach them that doing that isn’t okay, and they’ll get better. I unlock chat with a lot of moths just to teach them what’s okay and what isn’t, it’s worth it, and it’s your job as a veteran.
4 TIPS I DO:
1. *If you wanna light someone, try to do a signal or an action to let them know* I usually tap my head or bow to them. Then I light my candle. Be respectful if they don't light you. There's always a next time :)
2. *Help other people* If someone has a problem (Door perhaps?)....try to help them and do an action infront of them. They usually light candles and bow to you as a thank you.
3. *Buy the chair cosmetics* (Yes, really). This is really important if you'd like to talk with other people. Language and communication is the key. It has helped me meet many international friends :D
4. *If you really want hearts then you have to play fairly* If someone gives you hearts, you also give it back. If you don't have candles then don't get the heart unless you have it. Be a supportive friend, not a hoarder. This is one of my problems since I'm shy to ask for hearts so I visit them and talk first to make sure if they'd like to exchange.
My friends tell me I don’t need to give hearts back, and they sometimes surprise me with hearts gifts. I don’t give hearts back, am I a hoarder for that?

I always give hearts back but usually, it's people who doesn't give hearts back to me. So I decided to be petty and only send a heart if they send it first

Yep I can agree with the veteran life. I'm mainly on my own and usually just play music in random places or just run around collecting. I tend to buy lots of refill potions too since normally I don't have anyone around to help refill my wing. Back when I was a moth and still new I had a whole group of friends and we'd hang out a lot. The whole group together. But a couple left sky, some got distant, and in general the group is no more. I had other friends out of the group but they left sky too for whatever reason I don't know. I still have one friend I met from my new to sky time but even they don't play like they used to. Sad lonely sky life lol. I also sometimes find moths and just depending on how well I understand what they need help with I'll help them though I also noticed that most of them just ultimately leave sky too. It's always sad to me seeing a moth that quit sky. I meet and try to become friends with some also but most I meet speak another language and I can't understand them. Nor can they understand me. I've tried translating but constantly trying to figure out what they're saying and trying to translate what I say takes up a lot of time and what I say doesn't always translate correctly. I don't mind having to translate but it's not ideal time wise for both me and the other person.
Same thing happened to me 😅 I was always acompanied as a moth but I left the game and came back after a year, my first friends arent there anymore

To sky kids getting out of mothhood: don't be entitled to the help and fun vets and other sky kids offer you. Be thankful they help/uber you with CR, Eden, regular infodump and fun OOB trips. Remember that they don't owe you anything. They do nice things because they are nice sky kids and they want this game to be fun for you too. Don't abuse other people's niceness. Return the niceness with niceness.

When I was a moth a veteran friended me and the brought me to all of her friends. They dragged me everywhere and help me out a lot. Quite a few of them have become such good friends. It’s the best. ☺️❤️

I have been playing sky myself ever since I started playing this game and I still can’t find any friends, except for some of my irl friends but they all have their own Sky friends so it feels awkward to hang out with them too. The reason why I couldn’t find any friends is that I have social anxiety. I always fear that I wouldn’t make up conversations or my English is very bad and the whole situation will be very awkward for the person and I.
As a current moth I always thought I would be able yo find friends more easily once I become a vet

I'd say I had a pretty solo moth journey, but I met a few other moths eventually. I took a break from the game just after completing Hidden Forest, and somehow made friends when I returned. Most of them were other moths or relatively new players.
Thankfully, two friends (who I'm still friends with today and see occasionally) helped guide me through Wasteland, which was the realm I procrastinated on completing for a while.
I made more friends after becoming more experienced (idk if I'm a veteran, but I understand everything there is to know about the game now, and I got some cool cosmetics).
I think I have more veteran/experienced friends than moths, but I do have several moth friends, most of them are inactive :'(
I've never asked for a heart trade, and I didn't know what it was for a while. I'm always up for one whenever a friend asks for it. I've never chatted with most of my friends on Sky. There's a certain beauty in non-verbal communication.
My main method of getting hearts these days is by lighting my constellation every day and collecting the heart pieces. It takes patience, but the hearts do come. I also get them from spirits.

I've made friends with other players waiting at the first 4 player door in Vault.
We were 3 people and waited at least 20min for a 4th person, we placed props and emote spammed. But we wasted so much time that I just friended them and got us in in with Chibi Fall instead. They were really thankful and we finished the CR in Vault together.
Another time it was a similar, but someone else was the Chibi and I was really thankful. That's how I got 4 active friends that light constellations daily. ^-^
My sis and I played together with this game, we are still new to his game , one time we meet our friend from America and yes we got closed but only in a short time she rarely online and yes rn she didn't on it makes us sad, but I maybe she got bored or theres a reason behind it , me and my sis always on at this game since we both love it

I’m back now but I have a really funky hodgepodge of cosmetics, but I don’t know if I’m a veteran or not, I certainly feel like one tho lonely af.

I'm glad the veterans are mostly nice to moths. I don't understand why you wouldn't be, if they friend you just let them. Hearts for you, more friends, and they will remember you. Even the argument of that they just leave the game usually doesn't really make sense. If that happens, just block them if they go missing for a while and it gets annoying.

I'm new to playing the game- I already went thru all the realms and have some costume stuff so not a "moth", but I don't know any of the etiquette or terms or anything, so it's confusing trying to befriend people. Especially when people grab your hand it's like, idek know where I'M going, I can't help you friend 😔 or people doing expressions at me and I have to go hunt down an expression because I don't remember where they all are. I've only chatted with one friend and we just said "hi" to each other. 😅 It's still fun though.

Quick question because I'm probably dumb I want to know what is the difference between a *moth* a *sky kid* and a *veteran.*
• Moths are new and inexperienced players, they recently joined Sky and have lots to explore. They tend to have the free or cheap cosmetics and only a few Winged Light.
• Sky Kids are more advanced players. They have been through Eden a few times and know a lot. Got some nice cosmetics and props. Probably 9 or 10 Winged Light.
• Veterans have been playing for a LONG time. They know everything there is to know. Have lots of (expensive) cosmetics and props and most likely 11 Winged Light.
Those titles just indicate how long and much someone has played Sky. || Newbie > Advanced > Pro || Hope that helps, you're not dumb for being unfamiliar with the terms! ^^
