When I was a moth (I’m assuming that means a total newbie) I didn’t have a veteran player to guide me through the game until I got to Eden. Honestly that part brings people together I miss that player so much. Now when I see someone’s winged light get shattered I immediately run over to the location just in case it’s a moth barely surviving
Yeah same. I started off playing the game years ago with my sister. But it gave me so much motion sickness I stopped playing at around forest. She stopped around the same time because she didn't want to play alone. About 6 months later I gave it another try alone. Managed to fly a lot better so I didn't get sick anymore, but this time I played alone. I palyed Solo until Wasteland, where I found another moth and we quickly stuck together. We didn't get to talk until end of vault, where we sadly found out we don't speak the same language :(. She had to go after that so I took a break, entered Eden alone the next day. Was so scared after the first set of rocks that I clung to that last bit of light scared to keep going, was instantly adopted by a Veteran Player who was so good and kind I still think of her till this day.
I remember when I first played the game, didn't have anyone show me around and when it cam for eden, I got scared and turned the game off before thinking that it was intended so I got back on and went through the rest. I also didn't have a veteran player guide me and I found all but 3 spirits, only missing the top left one in valley of triumph, the other two are Golden Wasteland
I'm reasonably new to the game, and when I got to Eden I wasn't able to play with any Veteran players, but I did have three other newbies with me. I was always the one who stayed with the one far behind to make sure they didn't shatter their winged light too much. Was also the second to last one alive
I do the exact same thing especially in Eden which is the level that scares the moths the most (usually). Often, when I'm bored, I enter Eden specifically to help those in need, even if I've already done my run.🥺
What I find extremely adorable in this game is that there is always this pair of players (adult and child) that will always stick together no matter what😭
i only found my bro when i went to eden first time and had only 25-30 winged lights and was on 2 left thought “ehh, imma lose everything, might as well add someone to chat”
As a veteran player I’m surprised at how many new players were happy to be guided by older players. As a moth I really enjoyed discovering everything by myself which made the game so immersive. Because of this I usually leave moths alone (unless they ask for help) because I assume they want to discover everything on their own as experiencing the game for the first time is incredible and I wanted to preserve that for them. I’ll definitely be helping moths from now on after reading all these comments.
I feel the same unless it comes to dailies. Don't want to miss a single one, so I opt out using a video guide. Thanks to that, I discovered secret areas without finding them myself. A little sad, but it does encourage me to explore the edges of the map more. I even found the Theatre because the daily quest took me to the Village of Dreams. So I looked around and found a path leading somewhere. Felt good. A balance between handholding and self-discovery!
I’m the same! I much prefer learning the basics myself instead of being dragged around. When it comes to OOBs and glitches it’s nice to have someone show u but for everything else I just learn faster if I do it myself 😊
As a veteran player... I like to babsit moths. I will not meddle and I do allow for them to take me anywhere with them leading. I feel like this way it allows them the opportunity to explore and be in charge of the game experience. I'm only there to keep them safe when required and to help with 2-person doors... and for wing power help.
My first experience was the same. I love exploring and figuring things out on my own and mostly just ignored other players. Lol I occasionally do minor interactions from some people now but still mostly ignore people. I don't have confidence to adopt lol
As a moth, I was adopted by a veteran player. This was our exact relationship and they trained me in the art of burning plants, handling krill, crabs, and chaotic banter :)
Same! Though the person I was adopted by a pro who isn't exactly a veteran, but they might as well be! We became good friends on discord, and continue to hang out on Sky!
Do the Eden and wateland solo 2 days ago, a bit intense especially with the krill, but the only heart-stopper was at Eden, I thought I'm failed, luckily I add a person as friend before entering, he/she lit the last statues with candle, and I have so good screen shot after that, the animation was like literal stairway to heaven
This is so true, really. I've all but memorized the krill's pathways so while it was really scary and stressful at first, I kept pushing through that and doing Eden and especially wasteland runs more frequently (especially wasteland since Eden has a weekly reset) and now I can do it all without getting a scratch on me. Most of the time. Sometimes the krill or the rocks on the very last leg of Eden get me, but it's like 7/10 times I don't get hit now.
I've only been playing sky for a week and am truly happy with how many veterans have helped me! I'm the type that will rage quit a game if I get stuck so having a stranger literally grab me by the hand and keep the story going not only let me finish the game but also built a sense of community that has kept me playing ^w^
It's so nice knowing that other players are aware of your presence in a given area. It's even nicer knowing that we as a community jump at the opportunity to help. Warms my heart.🥰
I started playing two weeks ago, give or take, and a friend rushed me through the areas so I went into Eden alone, basically as a total noob, and not knowing what to expect. I wish I could thank the veteran that kept me going there and showed me what to do, because without him it would have been a nightmare.
The animation is amazing and somehow left me speechless The beginning was adorable and chaotic with how a veteran or atleast someone who has been playing the game for such a long time adopt a beginners moth, teaching them their ways and guiding them through the areas then the next thing i was not expecting is how other veteran was running from the krill which is both dramatic and funny and the moth becoming a calm badass and was taught well by their mentor/friend ☕❤🔥well done!
It's exactly the embodiment of my experience playing the game, tbh. I got lots of helps from everyone & am paying it forward. One veteran helped me through the Eden once & now I'm pretty much addicted to going there because of her! Lmao
I just installed Sky today. I was running around Home, and then a player arrived. I kinda followed them, since they have nice cosmetics and they showed me different styles. So I was just kinda hyping them up. Until they offered friendship, and then held my hands, and they basically carried me for like 30-40 minutes and I was struggling how to tell them I have to go bc I'm sleepy but IDK HOW TO CONVEY THAT AND I DON'T WANT TO JUST LEAVE BC IT'S RUDE. 😭
Just spin around twice to suggest good intentions, wave if you got the emote then go to home island. Every veteran player totally understands. The rude thing you want to avoid doing if possible is just shutting down the game without going to home island first. Veteran players need to see your butt hit the ground so they know you are leaving. If you just pop out, they will guess that there was a server split and go looking for you and it may take several minutes to realize you logged out and then get back to where they left off. So, always go to home island before logging out.
Thanks that was a good lesson. That time there was an emergenscy i had and i had to go. Then the next day( every time i play )i try to contact the veterant i meet just to apologise that i was rude for going without saying.🥲
I did not expect, an adorable chibi meme and then suddenly became a full out anime style looking fight! This is amazing and definitely needs AND DESERVES more views!
Oh, this made me miss my friend. She wasn't a veteran, but she taught me most of what I know in sky and I met many people because of her. She's no longer with us and lately I haven't been able to play, but every time I'm there I see her light and I'm grateful for the moments I had with her in there. Here's to you, sweetie! ✨
Same, no one helped ;-; I wanted to become friends with a veteran. BUT NOW I DONT NEED THAT, NOW I AM A VETERAN AND I GO DAILY TO EDEN ALONE MWAHAHAHAHAAH >:) Wtf did I just write pls send help
@@jamu6114 Yes, is easy once you get used to it actually. The eye of Eden is still hard but what I care for is the candles so I always lose all my winged light, i remember the location of all of them so it isn't a problem for me
@@lily_mb7156 There's no point in doing it every day though? Unless you're so bad at giving your light to the stone figures that you have to do it on daily runs. You can only give your light to a statue once a week so there's literally no point.
This is honestly in my top 3 favorite sky animations. It's so cool! I've been playing for just under a year and while I'm still terrified of krill and suck at the game in general, I still enjoy helping out new moths and showing them the ropes. I have an unholy amount of friends on the game mainly because I dont know how to turn down a moth lol. Its chill though, I like going on and lighting their friend stars and seeing their characters become more and more interesting with time. Unfortunately I think most of my little moth friends have quit the game because their characters never changed, nor do they ever seem to be online and never light my friend star. It's a shame but hopefully they enjoyed their time while they played. I truly love Sky.
If this was a documentary, the narrator would be like... "It seems the bigger one has initiated some sort of courtship dance" Then moments later... "The small one seems to have accepted the proposal, and joined the dance as well"
“ Moments later the dominant male has left to hunt for prey for the smaller moth. Unfortunately he vanished. Moments later we can see how the smaller moth has gotten big enough to hunt prey of its own doing its MENACING DANCE scaring away the predators around the area such as the skrills, the male after hearing the sound of a scared skrill came back and found its mate who scared the skrill away, the male gave the small moth a head pat as a sign of happiness and then used a special move also known as teleportation by simply sitting down long enough to get enough energy to teleport away. A moth was casually spectating all of this and we can’t really tell what it was feeling but i think it was scared and confused at the same time “ I continued the text till the end for those who wanted to know how it would end.
i love how in this game every player at some point decides to adopt at least 1 moth. im the type of veteran that has adopted more moths than i can count on my fingers. honestly i think we all feel so proud as we watch them grow and learn new things about the game, and then mabye you get into contact with them without seeing them for awhile and they've become experienced enough in the game to adopt their own moths and it literally makes me cry. i find it amazing how we as a entire community just decided to countinue this. like no information was passed to the moths of "bro u should adopt ur own moth" they just eventually do it because they're like "hey that was me a year ago i remember the first friednded me it was fun i should go help them out" or they unconsciously do it. and so this continued for generations until it branched out to basically every player, its just so cute to me. also i love how easy it is to befriend people in this game. im not very good at socializing in real life because ive had adhd since i was in kindergarten. im the person who could walk up to a random dude at the supermarket and immediately befriend them over a can of beans that we both like, have a 30 minute friendship, and then never see them again. but when it comes to people i see face to face often it becomes awkward for me because most likely i didn't meet them out of my free will or because i thought they shared a interest with me so i cant strike up a proper conversation, plus if something goes wrong or offends them how am i supposed to face them again. thats why i find it easier to befriend strangers because you don't have to be as cautious (to some degree) around them because unless you really hit off and they ask for your contact info you'll never see them again. which also means i was the idiot who started wars at the local park with other kids and my siblings. id go there and just walk up to any other kid, shy or outgoing. i have all kinds of relatives with different personalities so its always been easier for to approach anybody and not make them feel too awkward. im not necessarily a natural leader just the one who starts the group/meeting/gathering and then i blend in. unless it was those kids who were really loyal and clinged to me because mabye i seemed cool or confident to them idk but dorever reason some stuck to me. so i led a few times which usually ended up being anything ranging from who can scare the most pigeons to playing a made up on the spot card game with random abandoned cards someone found under a bench to turf wars over the swings to trying to put all our monkey brains together to just figure out what we should even do as kids who get bored in 2 seconds to how many people does it take to get up that really big tree whoever reaches the top first gets my caprisun (3 kids teamed up and won because their older brother gave them a piggy back ride and helped them, that cheater i still hate you for that ryan i hope you fracture your ankle the next time you climb a tree even tho i never saw you again after that day) so at the end of the day we'd say our goodbyes and be like "wanna come and play at the park again next weekend, i can bring my toys so we can make a big sandcastle in the sandpit" "yeah i can bring my bucket, and guess what its split into 3 on the inside so i can collect sand, mud, and dirt at the same time" "ok pinky promise" and then one of us would leave because they're parents called them to go home. despite what we said nobody was usually ever able to keep the promise and we never met again because we were just kids who can't really make decisions for ourselves and do stuff without our parents permission so the freedom at the park to run rampant with other kids high on sugar was like bliss to us. this got off topic real quick damn, back to my point. so when i was introduced to technology at a really young age since my dad worked on something to do with electronics and testing them, i naturally became a social butterfly online. you dont have to meet them face to face, its easier to contact them, and you probably met them on a game you played so theres always something to talk about. which means when i found sky and figured out you're meant to play with friends i was like "oh boy here i go befriending 200 people again" it was so much easier because anybody could just place down a table and talk with anybody who joins it. and its not as overwhelming as other games with mass multiplayer or the ones where you have to actually have friends you already met to play the game co-op with. you bet i went up to every single table i saw, it there wasn't space ill put a table spell on the wall and talk to you from there. the community is really welcoming so i had no problems talking with others, language barriers didn't stop me eitheir because i could either speak in simpler sentences or google translate. so it was only a matter of time to i got to the point where friends wouldn't show up on my friend constellation screen so I couldn't light their candle all in all i really love this game, i think my depression would somehow get even worse if it shutdown anytime soon ps; this took me 30 minutes to write, my poor fingers
no veteran ever took me under their wing, so i figured everything out on my own. now, i try and help as many moths as i run into. it's a lot of fun and satisfying to watch them get better and better!!
Same, but it’s funny because I joined the game literally during the time of the global launch so no one know what they were doing so it was very funny just to run around and see a bunch of newbies all just trying to figure it out!
I'm a veteran of the game, played nearly on launch, lost my first account but, thats okay, I like getting to watch other vets think I need help, and playing along. It makes people surprisingly happy to help along and watch a moth learn so, I like just not buying more than flat cloaks, basic items, it makes me happy to make vets feel like lil proud parents of moffs
When I first started, I kept getting seen by the first krill in wasteland, and this person distracted the krill the entire time so i could get across safely qwq they guided me through the rest of wasteland afterwards ;v; pro players and veterans helped me so much and Ill never forget a single one of them :') I had another veteran watch over me when I rejoined after many years, I didn't have the chance to add them but i still hope to come across them again qwq !
I didn't get adopted by a veteran because I started playing SKY together with my friends. We had so much fun discovering the world it was truly amazing. But when we got to the Golden Wasteland a lot of them had dropped the game or didn't come online often because it was too time consuming. That meant that I went in there completely alone with the expectation of it also being easy and beautiful. I straight up shat my pants man. It took me 2 whole months to get through it completely lmao. I don't even wanna talk about Eden haha. But now it's pretty chill.
i felt that LOL, when i started playing sky, i convinced one of my friends to play with me and we were having a good time until wasteland. we were so clueless when we first got there. maybe a year or so goes by and someone from a discord server i’m in, a way more experienced player, offers to help me go through wasteland and eventually eden. i was still scared shitless throughout the whole of wasteland and i eventually made it through eden but my first friend never did :(
@@0c3anofstars Yeah I wonder how many of my friends ever made it over there 🤔 But honestly, even though Eden is chill now I still can't finish the King Krill quest 💀
@@0c3anofstars Oh it's in a seasonal area of the golden wasteland. Right when you get to the fireplace at the beginning of it you can go to the right and there's a boat. Just take it and you'll see the rest of it👀 definitely one of my favorite seasonal areas
I remember joining Sky because some friends told me it would be something I might like. And as a moth, I didn't have any veterans who had my back until I got to Eden. My friends were the ones who guided me through Eden when I needed help finding The Little Prince (was born in Sky during the Season of Flight, so I missed out on the Little Prince Season.) Now, going through the Season of Revival, I help moths find spirits they are missing and strangers through Eden. I do it because I don't want anyone going through a lonely experience like me when I first started.
😂 as a veteran, let's face it, I love watching newbies run into Krill for the first time. I always light them up afterwards with the shout and lead them somewhere hidden to process how they just got knocked into oblivion
they ain't gonna learn the dangers if they are constantly protected from it, you gotta let them get knocked down a couple times and then you can protect them
I love how after the Chibi Moth Vs Krill anime scene, and after the pro and moth disapear, a Krill having a Carameldansen moment appears in the background.
This animation is just perfect! I really love the krill. I love designs, the scaps of lore, and the challenge of them. Though because I don't mind them (my friends hates the sounds they make), I usually help my them through the golden wastelands. I really wonna do the king krill but my friends nope hard 😭. I also want a krill plush so bad 😥
I’m still a moth, and this is honestly so funny and relatable honestly haha!! There’s this one guy that helped me all throughout my first run through the game, and I seriously appreciate him so much for helping me through the Wastelands and Eden!!! If you’re reading this by any chance, Cyno, here’s a big thank you from Rain!!!
My first friend was a veteran player, they took me under their wing for awhile, I had stopped playing for a year or two. Recently started playing the game again and still see them every now and then. It’s really nice.
I remember when I was a newbie and a randomly bumped onto this pro and they became my first friend. They took me all around sky, finding all the spirits and winged light and I remember me helping them with some of their missions. I am now so levelled up and I've already done a run through Eye of Eden and it's all because of this one random player that helped me. We're still friends now but I haven't played with them for a while.
even as someone who’s been playing sky when i joined during the Days of Blossom (..?) idk it was during some days event thing, IM STILL SCARED OF THE KRILL EVEN THO WHEN IM WITH SOME FRIENDS TO MESS WITH THE KRILL (having a lil “GET DODGED KRILL” moment) bro i wanna go back to being a moth- Yk what ima just THINK LIKE A MOTH, ACT, DRESS, i wanna go back to the good old days :( 4:31 also the krill’s eye just broke lol
first the veteran teaching the moth everything they knew was amazing, the moth finally succeeding making the veteran happy cause of how they evolved so much. but for real, The animation was amazing, even the time where the moth was playing with the krill it reminded me of my moth days since i was always a huge fan of golden wasteland, Ive been practicing on dodging the krills even though i thought it might be a useless skill, but i guess im proud of myself for having it.
This made me miss my first sky friend...she was amazing and taught me everything from day one, i was just a little moth but now Im a veteran and she no longer is online, it makes me miss her because the last time we spoke she was checking on a friend that was going through something...I never saw her after that
Idk why but this video makes me think an anime about sky would be sick. No dialogue, pure feeling from the animation and body language with a wholesome story
This was so so funny and adorable at the same time. Thank you and thanks to all those helpful players in the game. On my first Eden run someone grabbed my hand and showed me the way and took me through. 2 attempts later I was the one helping others. Much love to everyone!
This was incredible! As a noob myself, I completely felt the first half of this. It is so true. I’ve yet to find a veteran willing to adopt me. But I feel like I’ve adapted enough to most of the controls. The wastelands still scare me though, and I’m too nervous to explore the boneyard alone. 😅
me, a sky newbie who has played Journey, knowing most of the basics and how the monsters work : *takes hand of the pro and goes straight to the shiny child without being noticed by the blue light once* the pro, scared : h-how
God I feel depressed, I never was adopted as a moth, so I had to go through everything INCLUDING EDEN SOLO, atleast I'm a quick learner in practically any game
I too played it solo, it was a bit lonely to see other players holding each other's hands during the entire journey, but when reaching the end game it became a really touching experience. Like, u finally become one with every other children, as if they were saying, "u were never fighting this battle alone".
Same. Being a solo player since my moth days is nice, but it does get too lonely sometimes. There are friends ofc, but without any chemistry :') And seeing all of those daily quests that require friends to complete, absolute PAIN.
3:30 when i first played sky and started getting decently good at it- my favorite place to play was that map where all the dragons where. I'd always play with the dragons- purposefully get caught and then zip around and dodge them. Came back to sky after a year and now suddenly the dragons are tearkng me to shreds 😢
Like a lot of other players here, no veteran took me under their wing.I learned everything myself and the first time I when to Eden I was alone. It was challenging and I didn't understand the bit at the end where you need to press on the child and help them up. Also, when you need to fly around he universe to the big light I was alone and I saw big lumps of people holding hands which made me feel lonely 😭. I know the majority know how it feels lol and if you don't count yourself lucky
I started playing sky a month ago. I didn’t even understand the mechanics. After getting traumatized at Eden, I started researching how to get better at this game. Then I realized that you can ask for help. But tbh, I’m too nervous to go up to a veteran. But I feel like exploring alone is more enjoyable. Btw, I JUST GOT MY CHIBI MASK!!!!
that is what I love about this game. you arrive there, you're lost, you don't know how to do a lot of stuff, and you either figure it out yourself or gets adopted by veterans, whether it's for 5 minutes or a year. I wouldn't have completed the Prophecy Cave if it weren't for two amazing players who saw me struggle and guided me through the challenges! now that I'm a somewhat good player I always help out little moths!
I recently got into sky and some veteran helped me a lot and I was so happy about it ! Makes you feel like the chosen one fr lmao, also, the animation is literally so good ???? What ???
As an intermediate Sky kid (far from a moth but not quite pro yet), I kinda envy all these comments about people getting helped by vets. Had to bust my ass solo-ing every single aspect of the game from day 1 since most vets didn't bat an eye on fragile little me. They mostly just stack themselves on top of each other and fly around. Recently hit 120 winged lights. It's not much, but I gotta say I found a tiny bit of pride for getting all the way here by myself via mostly trial and error.
When I started I was alone for just a stage, after that I got multiple veterans helping me out with everything. I especially remember a very sweet one in the forest, I lived in fear of losing my light to the rain until a tall veteran with an umbrella pretty much carried me everywhere in the map till the very end of it. I will never forget you, for that moment you were like the older sibling I never had and I don't care if I'm sugar coating this!
i got adopted by a vet when i was in my early moth days and ill never forget how kind they were to me, guiding me and showing me all their favorite places, even helping me get my wings 😭 its so funny too how we met, i was wandering around prairie and there was a random as hell dinner table in the middle of the field, i had no idea what it was and sat down because i had no idea what else to do lmao turns out it was their table prop, so im trying to get the table prop as homage to that lolol
I was so confused the first time I was just going about my business and saw a freaking table sitting there. Like "wait, what the heck? Was that always there? What? Why? How did it? You know what...just ignore the weirdness and focus on moving forward 😬"
@@TK-ko6np you tap on your caracter drag and do a circle realy close to the feet that is still (we dont lean over while we spin but that's who the animator did it)
Reminds me fondly of my second attempt at Eden. First time, my little group got scattered in the avalanches, and we failed badly. When I worked up the guts to go again, I had a sick feeling I was gonna have to do it alone. Cue a veteran offering to friend me, he takes my hand, flies me ALL THE WAY THROUGH, didn’t come with me to the no-turning-back part. What a guy. Just the other day I went back for a second rebirth, made it through almost entirely on my own. I got hit by the krill twice and still managed to reach six flaps, so I must’ve done something right. And somehow I still have moth cosmetics😅
Discovered the game when it came out on PC recently, I beat the main stuff in less than 2 days because of how much I enjoyed it, put in a solid 20 hours within 2 days. I experienced the game all on my lonesome, I didn't want help with much and I will be honest i find it hard to really become friends with people in game, but sky makes that so much easier! I think the best part of the experience was doing it with other moths. I didn't meet many veterans but I met a lot of other moths, and we all experienced the same thing for the first time together, it was a lot of fun and I still play with some of those other moths too even a week later! This game is a unique experience compared to a lot of other games, and I enjoy it greatly even after I beat the main story!
This reminds me of my friend and I. I'm still new to the game, only had it for a little less than two weeks. I met my friend a bit after I decided I liked the game bought the season pass. This dude took me under their wing and taught me a lot of the stuff I know, they call me a pro because I finished eden in the first week of having the game (even though it was unintentional and I didn't know it was eden cause I wasn't paying attention ;-;) and I like to destract the krill away from other moths so they don't die. One time when they logged off I stayed on for a while longer and taught myself how to roll glide, that was when I got to teach them something they didn't know. This game has such an amazing fanbase and everyone is so nice on it, I doubt I'll ever get tired of it any time soon!
The only time a veteran helped me was back in Eden, when the veteran showed me and other person a safe way to the end. It was a few days ago, actually. For some reason, I didn't have that much problems in the wasteland. Maybe because I wasn't that explorative lol. Anyways, I'm really thankful to the veteran who helped me back then.
1:32 The guy in the bottom left is the exact design my friend has who showed me everything about the game, did my first candle and winged light runs with and helped me through the trials my first time.

I have an adult friend in the literal sense and they always guide me through eden, i still die first though lol
Oh we love it, it's one of the many rare and beautiful parts of this wondrous game.. ❤
I was adopted by multiple people who helped me through different areas
I haven't seen the first person who adopted me in a long time sadly
I’ve been also adopted by a veteran. So I can relay ^^
Someone pls help me, I’ve been playing sky for a while but I still have no idea what to do
@@user-mo1xu3id2x i would be happy to help!
You become pro when you can do Wasteland and Eden without getting scared
all I feel is rage when I somehow manage to get stuck on the smallest ledge...other than that it's fine
when I decided to be a brave player, I just told myself that whenever a krill spots me, there's always a place to hide
Wow.! I'm a pro :O
Warms my heart.🥰
hows it going now? still enjoying it?
I started playing two weeks ago, give or take, and a friend rushed me through the areas so I went into Eden alone, basically as a total noob, and not knowing what to expect. I wish I could thank the veteran that kept me going there and showed me what to do, because without him it would have been a nightmare.
The animation is amazing and somehow left me speechless
The beginning was adorable and chaotic with how a veteran or atleast someone who has been playing the game for such a long time adopt a beginners moth, teaching them their ways and guiding them through the areas
then the next thing i was not expecting is how other veteran was running from the krill which is both dramatic and funny and the moth becoming a calm badass and was taught well by their mentor/friend
☕❤🔥well done!
THE VETERAN WAS GONNA DIE THO-
It's exactly the embodiment of my experience playing the game, tbh.

A moth was casually spectating all of this and we can’t really tell what it was feeling but i think it was scared and confused at the same time “

i love how in this game every player at some point decides to adopt at least 1 moth. im the type of veteran that has adopted more moths than i can count on my fingers. honestly i think we all feel so proud as we watch them grow and learn new things about the game, and then mabye you get into contact with them without seeing them for awhile and they've become experienced enough in the game to adopt their own moths and it literally makes me cry. i find it amazing how we as a entire community just decided to countinue this. like no information was passed to the moths of "bro u should adopt ur own moth" they just eventually do it because they're like "hey that was me a year ago i remember the first friednded me it was fun i should go help them out" or they unconsciously do it. and so this continued for generations until it branched out to basically every player, its just so cute to me.
also i love how easy it is to befriend people in this game. im not very good at socializing in real life because ive had adhd since i was in kindergarten. im the person who could walk up to a random dude at the supermarket and immediately befriend them over a can of beans that we both like, have a 30 minute friendship, and then never see them again. but when it comes to people i see face to face often it becomes awkward for me because most likely i didn't meet them out of my free will or because i thought they shared a interest with me so i cant strike up a proper conversation, plus if something goes wrong or offends them how am i supposed to face them again. thats why i find it easier to befriend strangers because you don't have to be as cautious (to some degree) around them because unless you really hit off and they ask for your contact info you'll never see them again. which also means i was the idiot who started wars at the local park with other kids and my siblings. id go there and just walk up to any other kid, shy or outgoing. i have all kinds of relatives with different personalities so its always been easier for to approach anybody and not make them feel too awkward. im not necessarily a natural leader just the one who starts the group/meeting/gathering and then i blend in. unless it was those kids who were really loyal and clinged to me because mabye i seemed cool or confident to them idk but dorever reason some stuck to me. so i led a few times which usually ended up being anything ranging from who can scare the most pigeons to playing a made up on the spot card game with random abandoned cards someone found under a bench to turf wars over the swings to trying to put all our monkey brains together to just figure out what we should even do as kids who get bored in 2 seconds to how many people does it take to get up that really big tree whoever reaches the top first gets my caprisun (3 kids teamed up and won because their older brother gave them a piggy back ride and helped them, that cheater i still hate you for that ryan i hope you fracture your ankle the next time you climb a tree even tho i never saw you again after that day) so at the end of the day we'd say our goodbyes and be like "wanna come and play at the park again next weekend, i can bring my toys so we can make a big sandcastle in the sandpit" "yeah i can bring my bucket, and guess what its split into 3 on the inside so i can collect sand, mud, and dirt at the same time" "ok pinky promise" and then one of us would leave because they're parents called them to go home. despite what we said nobody was usually ever able to keep the promise and we never met again because we were just kids who can't really make decisions for ourselves and do stuff without our parents permission so the freedom at the park to run rampant with other kids high on sugar was like bliss to us.
this got off topic real quick damn, back to my point. so when i was introduced to technology at a really young age since my dad worked on something to do with electronics and testing them, i naturally became a social butterfly online. you dont have to meet them face to face, its easier to contact them, and you probably met them on a game you played so theres always something to talk about. which means when i found sky and figured out you're meant to play with friends i was like "oh boy here i go befriending 200 people again" it was so much easier because anybody could just place down a table and talk with anybody who joins it. and its not as overwhelming as other games with mass multiplayer or the ones where you have to actually have friends you already met to play the game co-op with. you bet i went up to every single table i saw, it there wasn't space ill put a table spell on the wall and talk to you from there. the community is really welcoming so i had no problems talking with others, language barriers didn't stop me eitheir because i could either speak in simpler sentences or google translate. so it was only a matter of time to i got to the point where friends wouldn't show up on my friend constellation screen so I couldn't light their candle
all in all i really love this game, i think my depression would somehow get even worse if it shutdown anytime soon
ps; this took me 30 minutes to write, my poor fingers
oml only 30 minutes 😭😭 the hyper focus is real in this comment…relatable hahaha i also have ADHD

But now it's pretty chill.
i felt that LOL, when i started playing sky, i convinced one of my friends to play with me and we were having a good time until wasteland. we were so clueless when we first got there. maybe a year or so goes by and someone from a discord server i’m in, a way more experienced player, offers to help me go through wasteland and eventually eden. i was still scared shitless throughout the whole of wasteland and i eventually made it through eden but my first friend never did :(

that is what I love about this game. you arrive there, you're lost, you don't know how to do a lot of stuff, and you either figure it out yourself or gets adopted by veterans, whether it's for 5 minutes or a year.
I will never forget you, for that moment you were like the older sibling I never had and I don't care if I'm sugar coating this!
i love this, animation is so smooth :D
i got adopted by a vet when i was in my early moth days and ill never forget how kind they were to me, guiding me and showing me all their favorite places, even helping me get my wings 😭
its so funny too how we met, i was wandering around prairie and there was a random as hell dinner table in the middle of the field, i had no idea what it was and sat down because i had no idea what else to do lmao
turns out it was their table prop, so im trying to get the table prop as homage to that lolol
Ah, that must be a common way of meeting vets though i put down the table (bought during xmas) it was how i met my veteran.
I was so confused the first time I was just going about my business and saw a freaking table sitting there.
Like "wait, what the heck? Was that always there? What? Why? How did it? You know what...just ignore the weirdness and focus on moving forward 😬"
I love how the dragon is so stupidly tired that he can't even get the other player.
何回見ても可愛い……
たまーに見に来るくらいだけど、だからこそ毎回『可愛いイイぃぃぃぃッ!!!!!』てなるw
this veteran holds my hand and gives me hints where to go, its so nice not being alone but still learning things yourself
I like how the detail in each realm shows players wearing hair ults
1:00 I LOVE DOING SPIN LIKE THIS TOO
how do you do it? :0
i've been trying but always fail haha
@@TK-ko6np you tap on your caracter drag and do a circle realy close to the feet that is still (we dont lean over while we spin but that's who the animator did it)
SAME!! :D
"Good morning!"
"Another day of being the lone wolf?"
Lol with the PC release i realized, I've adopted so many moths and this is probably how they see me
2:04 is my fav part🤣😭
4:00 how krill dodging feels like.... 😎
This was so cute and well put together! It really did capture the cheeky fun in sky 🤣 and the surprise you get when a moth… is not a moth 😂
The animation is SO INSANELY FLUID, MY GOD! Honestly though, I was so blown away by the quality throughout the whole video. Massive props! 💞💛
I started playing a few weeks ago and I got a lot of pros putting on a show for me, I find it very adorable 🥰
1:23 sorry Alef,i Laugh Of Loud🤣🤣🤣🤣
