Luke is on another level!!! In a place where there's a brilliant player on every corner the guy stands out. I love the "Jesus Christ" at the end of the video. That's how everybody feels the first time they see this kid:-)
Saw these guys at the Crossroads in Nashville. And I can tell you it made my trip. Luke is a guitar genius and the guy on the big Bass is incredible. I cannot wait till they get their big break !!
What a killer performance all the way around. I love Lower Broad and Robert's is one of the great spots. We saw the bass player at another spot down there a while back. He puts on quite a show!
You can still find that at places like Roberts. All the new slick mega bars have tried to push out the smaller dives but they're hanging in there still pumping out crazy talent you won't hear on the radio.
The best thing about this video besides a kick ass performance, is the Michael’s two word review of it. Wife in the other room saying, “what are you laughing at”.
Every time I go to Broadway I have to go to and look for this band. They are amazing! The talent that the bass player and the show that he gives with his instrument is on a different level, Luke is one of the best guitar players nationwide and the help of their talented drummer they are definitely the best band around Broadway. You guys are Fenomenal!!!!
High Scores for the Married Man cinematography - all the focus on that band and quickly cropped out the girls in sundresses dancing in front. Thanks... I think.
Oh yeah. Luke was the last guitarist to play in the Don Kelley Band before Don retired last year or the year before. He's part of a long line of killer players to have played in Don's band(Guthrie Trapp, Daniel Donato, the list goes on). Looks like maybe bassist Slick Joe Fick(sp?) is filling Don's shoes?
Well, there's thirteen hundred and fifty two Guitar pickers in Nashville And they can pick more notes than the number of ants On a Tennessee ant hill Yeah, there's thirteen hundred and fifty two Guitar cases in Nashville And any one that unpacks 'is guitar could play Twice as better than I will
Luke solos with the speed of Steve Howe and the economy of George Harrison! Joe has as superb voice and plays bass with aplomb! The drummer is amazing too!
One of the best pickers I got to see on broadway Luke is a young gun an badass!! bedsides Kristine kabbes an the skallywags they were my other favorite band down on broadway !!!
Every time I travel to Nashville I try to see Kelley’s heroes , especially Luke he is a great guitar player and has become a friend and of course I try to see Guthrie Trapp
Strolled in that bar couple nights ago to enjoy a cold drink and cool tunes and was convinced the greatest guitarist on the strip was there that night, the kid can flat out play...Great band
Ah. You've been to my favorite hangout. Yeah, Luke is definitely something special. But there have been a ton of really hot guitar spinners l slingers play on that stage. From Luke to Johnny Hiland to Jack Pearson to JD Simo to Daniel Donato to Chris Scruggs and a bunch more. They always rip it up.
These are Kelley's Heroes. Don Kelley led this band with many different killer guitar players for over 20 years here at Robert's till he retired in 2020. They kept on and named themselves after their buddy and hero. There are many videos of him on RUclips.
I can't stand mainstream country music. this trio here is great and the guitarist luke mcqueary is the best guitarist in the world imho. :) bravo, Kelly's heroes!
Now why do you go post such off-the-scale performances to such greenhorn guitar newbie such as me?! Is there any point in practicing anymore? That was a wow!
@@Guitargate if I ever get a big head about my playing I will revisit this video! Also...the dude balancing on the standup and still throwing down was outrageous.

Mind blown? Now find videos of him playing Ghost Riders In the Sky and The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Yeah he plays all the high octane fiddle parts... on guitar. He's also cut his hair recently. Hasn't affected his playing!

Yes he is. That's also Slick Joe Fick ( Ex- Dempseys ) on bass. Hes in the movie Walk the Line
There is nothing more fun than hoping around Broadway listening to how amazing everyone is in Nash.
Truth!! We should go together next time!
@@Guitargate Saw you at the airport in Nashville, but you looked like you lost your bag, so I didn't bother you! lol...
Such a full sound for a trio! These guys rip. Saw Daniel Donato here a few years back. The talent that rolls through here is incredible
What an amazing trio. The drummer is an absolute time machine.
Dude. Right?!
That is THE definition of Stone Cold! Love it!
PS bass solo STANDING on the bass... out of this world
The bass player for Bill Haley & The Comets used to do that... long time ago!

What a killer performance all the way around.

Saw him there several years ago with the Don Kelley Band...bought their CD, just an outstanding guitarist & band.
You can still find that at places like Roberts. All the new slick mega bars have tried to push out the smaller dives but they're hanging in there still pumping out crazy talent you won't hear on the radio.
Is Nashville getting wrecked too? I would've thought they were all dives?
@@Dr-Stu no. Still a couple little places there. This is the best though by far.

Guitar player is amazing just left there today this evening and all the Show is very entertaining
I use to watch Brazilbilly play at Robert’s all the time when I lived in Nashville. What a band they were!
Their singer. Jesse, now owns Robert's. He also owns Ernest Tubbs Record Shop across the street. ET opened it in the 40s. Same spot all this time.
Kid/dude’s a legend. I saw him a few years back at Roberts when Don was still leading the band. That performance will always stay with me.
Luke has been crushing it at Robert's for years. It's a spectacle in-person
So glad you posted this!
Amazing performance!!! They’re so good!
Every bar you go in Nashville, they have Musicians of this Caliber,,it’s surreal there..great music everywhere 🎸🔥
There should be a line out that door begging to get in. Amazing talent.
There often is a line

Jordan Peterson brought me. Glad to be here!

Hot take, bass solos are like sick in the spokes of a songs energy, and I love bass
honestly i think drum solos are even worse. bass dude was poppin off.
