Alright Ircha I've already bought "dragons dogma", "ni no kuni", & "two point hospital" because of your recommendation and I haven't been disappointed yet so I'm gonna buy this next. Thank you for your amazing videos keep it up.
Love her reviews and has convinced me into a few purchases! Can't say I enjoyed two point hospital, Nu Ni Kino was cute but gets boring fast but its one I can come back to for easy play! I'll be buying this tonight while its still on sale 😁
I recently started the game and I must admit I was (still am) overwhelmed with all the things to do. I was a little put off at first because of how small the inventory is, I was selling sfuff I knew I shouldnt, however just after figuring out I can make storage boxes it really lifted the pressure off as I can now freely collect materials. I love how the game doesnt spell everything out but I feel as though making at least 1 storage box should of been part of the tutorial. I sometimes feel pressure of wasting time and reminding myself this isnt Shenmue so I can relax more lol, though I am currently on 1 task that has a 6 day deadline which im sure I can manage. Really loving the game and awesome review :)

Not bashing the Switch version, just clarifying which version the devs focus on the most. I have the pc version myself, 85 hours in. Definitely a 9/10 for me.

Thanks for your review! The game is on sale right now on the eshop, so I really wanted to hear a detailed review. Considering the loading times and other issued mentioned, seems like it's priced excellently now!
I’ve been so excited to hear your review on this! I love love games like this and it sounds like it has everything I could ever want in a game like farming, foraging, building, cooking life sim, action rpg, etc etc. I don’t know if I should wait for a patch on load times though, and I wonder if the bugs you mentioned or even lack of sound effects would ever be fixed :)

Been looking for a game like Stardew Valley for my mom, seeing how she's played the hell out of that. Looks like this is it. Also holy hell this lady is beautiful
I bought this game in the switch about a month ago and played it for a few hours and kind of pushed it off to the side. The lagging kind of got on my nerves. However, I picked it back up about two weeks ago and cannot put it down. I absolutely love this game. I also bought it on the PC because it was on sale and I will say it runs a lot smoother on the PC and I’d recommend buying it there first if you can, but if you’ve never played it before, you can definitely enjoy it on the switch. The storyline is massive, there is always something to do. I’ve seen such negative feedback from the switch version and it makes me sad because it really is a good game. I read an article a few days ago, and I could be remembering the exact details wrong, but a new “company” or something, has taken over for the console version of the game and an update is expected within the next 6 months, hopefully fixing the major bugs.
I have the game on my Switch and although I am enjoying it, it really does have some problems and not just the loading times. Quite frankly giving this a 10/10 in its 'current' state is absurd and just again proves that reviewers should not get free codes, if they paid for the game with their own hard earned money, I'm sure they wouldn't be quite so generous with the scores. Can the game ever hit 10/10? sure... but as it stands right now, I'd give the Switch version 7/10.
maybe even a 6 i play it in a ps4 its buggy very bugy loads are long (25s just to enter or leave my house ) maybe (if they patch it) it coud be a 9 or a 10 sure its fun adictive game

I was so interested in hearing more about this game and you hit upon all the things I wanted to know...thank you! 10/10....wow, high praise...will definitely be picking this up :)
The game is great, and really has so much to offer. It's a shame that the Switch version has a lot of problems keeping up, in terms of lag and frame issues. I hope they can improve it ..
There was an AMA on reddit recently where someone from the company said they will be releasing improvements to the game in the coming weeks. Not sure exactly when that will happen. I’ve been waiting for this to come out on Switch for a while now, but I think I’ll wait until some of the issues are resolved - can see myself getting frustrated by some of the issues people have raised (even if minor issues). Looks incredible though and I can’t wait to play it
@@raulrojas9253 nah my ps4 runs it great. Longest loading screen I have ever had was 8 seconds, most are 5-6 seconds. No lag, no issues while playing. You may want to try getting a fan for your ps4 or getting it fixed. I'm running an original launch ps4 (5 years old) I've never had it worked on, modified, haven't even dusted it out. I run my games on external hard drives though, you may want to try that.
I just wanted a review for the game, but wow. I loved this review, its very rare to find an upbeat reviewer, most of them sound serious, or angry. And while you pointnout the issues, you don't let them bog you down, where most reviewers would blow it out of proportion. Thank you for such a wonderful review! I hope to see more from you in the future. :)
I had totally forgotten how addicting it is. I hadn't played since August 2018. (The first time I played it the desert wasn't around) I just started playing again did a new character so I could see all the new stuff. It really has been so well done. I wish more games went into this detail. Even without the Social Sim stuff there are not many games that are just so well rounded. I do with the clock moved slower in some ways and faster in others. I have it all the way slowed down because I find I'm rushing at default settings. Later though I know I'll likely end up speeding it up again. I love they added a alarm reminder for things like the town meetings. I missed so many of those.
Thank u so much for this. Ive been waiting for this in consoles since I dont want to play in pc for a long time. U said this is ur sort of game and i feel so happy, finally!! so I subscribed and will watch your other vids 😁
So after watching your review i picked this game up.. I love these types of games when done right. This is on sale now for 75% off on switch and steam.. probably the other platforms as well. What a steal for under $10... Sooooo much content!
I already buy it yesterday.. And play allday and this morning...yup Very long time screen loading and lagging so much.. And suddenly the game shutdown.. It happen 2 time this morning.. I don even save my play game... I have to play it again 😭
@Irchagaming have there been any updates to the game? Looking to buy for switch since on sale. Looking for updates to see if issues fixed, patches made, etc..
I definitely appreciate the review and your enthusiasm for the game since it encouraged me to get the switch version myself, but this game even in 2020 is far from a 10/10. There’s a ton of bugs that I noticed within my first week which made it really hard to enjoy certain aspects of the game. One of the most annoying ones I encountered was that every time I tried to pick up an item while my inventory was full, the item would disappear. This was fine with common items like wood and stone, but it happened to me with a chest of valuable items that I wasn’t able to get back. Menus are really slow as well. The game has a lot of content, but is very unpolished and feels like it’s still in pre-alpha at times. I heard the Steam version is a lot better and has more updates, so I might try that. Also, it’s an older 3DS game, but Story of Seasons reminds me a lot of this, a lot more polished but not as much content (no battle system), still really enjoyed it though and can see it being an inspiration for MTaP.
I agree, there is so much to do for sure but it feels like the game is missing a lot of polish in some way. I am enjoying it but it can be a little tiresome with the bugs, how slow some parts of the game are too.
Once your in the game it runs absolutely beautifully smooth the only issue is that the startup load into the game takes quite a while but once your in I’ve had no issues performance wise
Please keep us up to date with games like this. I love your channel, and have gotten me into other genres I never played before like Skyrim and ❤️❤️Ty.
I really enjoy your channel I was given Harvest Moon on GB back in the 90s( very basic game but I loved building horse tracks and other designs with wood, grass and stone)I have loved the series since then and have played just about every one of them. I definitely vibe with you on games. I like all your videos you are very detailed and funny. I am just so glad I found your channel. Thanks for everything you do I always find myself smiling after watching.
Thanks for your review I will get my copy soon for the switch 💙❤️ I’m very excited to start my world in this game. I wish we get the sims for the switch too
Hey Ircha! Thanks for this video, I really love your channel!! I have this game for PC (playing with my Xbox controller :D), liking it a lot. Was wondering, as your review is a year old, if there have been patches for the loading times in the switch version since ( I recently got a switch lite for Animal crossing). ANd did you tried it handheld? How is it faring? Text not too small? STardew Valley is impossible to play on my switch lite :(
While I love Stardew Valley and even though I've had it on my PC for some time I got it for my new Switch as well and its the perfect game to play on the go. Unfortunately when comparing My Time at Portia on the Switch from the PC version the loading times are annoying there is an impact on the visuals as well. It isn't a shocker since games running on the Unity engine apart from Cup Head don't run that well on the switch because unity tends to be pretty ram heavy. Personally I'd wait and see if they update the game before buying it on the switch unless its the only way you can play it or don't mind loading times and draggy performance. This isn't a shot at the game because the game is a very good game and it is well worth the price, however the port isn't very good unfortunately.
@@ircha Apparently aware of the long loading issues on the Switch Pathea has released an update addressing this. PLAYwithGregg made a video with a side by side comparrison between the two versions running at the same time. I used a timer while watching the video to measure the loading times between the old and new version. I also recorded my PC loading times for reference. From launching the game to entering your save inside your house. Old - 02:39 New - 03:47 PC - 00:33 First house exit to the world after initial load. Old - 01:06 New - 00:41 PC - 00:09 It seems that with the new update they're loading more data into the world which extends the initial load time but shortens the load times in general once in the world.
Normally Into racing, fighting, shooting and platform games. But with all the misery in the world and winter on my doorstep i was in need of a happy game so why not, i tried this game. Started about 1 hour ago so just build my first stone furnace. Really enjoyable to just chill a bit, gathering materials, build stuff and enjoying the game, very relaxing vibe. I like it 👍
I recently purchased this game during Covid-19 and Yes! By far it is one of my favorites next to Stardew Valley and Rune Factory 4. Currently wanting to get Rune Factory 5… thanks for reviewing this game!
Playing it on Xbox and it's great... but there's a lot of stuff that detracts from the overall experience. The rabbit hole quests immediately start you down a four or five level build process instead of easing you into the game. Character prompts where you have to reply auto select the top option if you try to speed up the dialogue with A instead of bringing it up as the next screen. The combat is very basic. Slash strafe roll are pretty much all you do until you hit level 40+ with the cool special attacks at the bottom on the skill trees. There's rushes of 4 or five things to do at once then weeks of downtime with no direction. Certain items are always needed for all builds/missions/requests First it's brass pipes and plates... then steel... in the hundreds. So while all your gear is smelting/cutting/grinding all the stuff you need you can't make anything else without building extra furnaces and cutters... which take more of the same items to build anyway so doesn't speed up the process. The mining is interesting but you end up with so much tat and bits of relics I've filled 3 boxes with them so far and have only been able to make a couple of them to free up space. The inventory management is terrible. Boxes are tiny and difficult to interact with you have to push 3 different buttons to move things around. The boxes are scroll-able but only in the order you build them so if you want a a 2nd wood box next to your 1st you have to scroll through the other boxes to get to it even though it's next to it... on the other side of the yard. The hold L auto stack option is handy except when you used the last couple of something to make an item then you still have to scroll through all the boxes to find the right one. Dungeons are buggy. Walls don't align so there's beams of void light visible between sections. There are bits of ruins that you can't mine and get stuck in. The hit boxes are too specific for the ruin parts you can mine. Making friends is such a long winded experience... I built my neighbour an irrigation system... fixed a fence... got her some pie... rescued her chickens... bought her a priceless rare seed to win a competition... and I went up from stranger to acquaintance... I know people who have kids together after a lot less than that. But despite all that I'm enjoying it a lot... just isn't a 10/10 game. Maybe a 6 or 7... Stardew... animal crossing... minecraft... graveyard keeper... all have more going for them and have a more polished rounded and user friendly experience.
UPDATE 2020 : The Switch has not enough Power I played it on PC since Beta and the GFX is so much better I think the Switch cannot even handle "Ultra Grass" setting But it is a very lovely Game but i recommend to play it on PC with Maximum GFX
Yep definitely getting this. I was already going to get it, but you sold me even more thanks! Any advice on what console tho? I’m leaning towards the Switch, but I have a PS4 also.
Just bought several copies for some requests for the Children's Hospital. Fingers crossed that they like them- your review made me feel better 😊. Have you reviewed Cat Quest? That was the last request and the kids got me to play it too- still cannot believe how vested in got into my character, Sir Meows-A-Lot. lol.
I'm wondering if i should get this for my birthday in two weeks. Have they patched any of the issues. I love the origional Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing style games. But worried that the issues are too much to get it.
I want to buy this but im in real doubt. Is it like rune factory more or harvest moon? Im a big fan of harvestmoon games series, animal crossing, minecraft, and many more. I wonder if i will like this game
Nice, your portia character looks freaking awesome... a mini you hahah... I'm glad I checked out your review... I now have this game on pre-ordered it ;) I can't wait to see your next review... have fun and keep up the awesome work!
You just gained a subscriber and I am definitely going to check this game out when it hits. The instant you said Stardew Valley in 3D? That was it for me. Well done.
Hi.. Did u play on nintendo swith? How u handle the lagging and loading screen.. I already buy it yesterday.. But there ia a lot of lagging and the game suddenly shut down... How u fix it?
@@nurainajihahkamarudin6170 I have only experienced minimal lag on the switch, it's there but not a big deal for me. I haven't seen it completely crash. I read there was an update sometime back to help the lag.
Thank Ircha, your review makes me want this game. The people are adorable and gathering materials looks like fun. I like animal crossing and this look like another must buy. Thanks Ircha for this video.
for anyone who gets bored you can actually duplicate items with a glitch that hevent being patch and you can do it early on. DId i mention that it has almost NO weapons to make other than 7 and almost all of them are just swords. Get the game after we get some updates.
Tbh the PC version has had liek 7 weapons since early access im 98% sure they won't be adding any more weapons which 1: is quite a shame. most of them are swords but they do have a few hammers and a snake gun that is pretty good but yeah as much as id love diff type of weapons I'm confident they wont add anymore
Loving the game on PS4 but I'm running into only one issue. During dungeons the enemies get stuck up in the ceilings or walls and I can't progress further into dungeon since we need to kill all enemies to continue.
Ircha Gaming Since I’ve played Stardew Valley so much (just finished a mobile version) I’ve played Harvest Moon since HM-1 on gameboy, and your recommendation! Looks like I know what game to play this weekend! Thanks!
I've been stoked for this too so it's great to here it's amazing. Hopefully PS4 version won't struggle to much and have better loading times. This will keep me going until we ever get a sequel to rune factory oceans or innocent life xx
Dumb question; was this recorded on the switch? Cause the previous videos I've seen made it look really crappy, but this actually looks surprisingly good! Also regarding the loading times; how long are we talking here? hehe. Thanks!
I'm glad you liked this game. It's always looked like a very cute little life sim game. Hopefully something I can look into later on as well. It's been a little while since the Switch has gotten a game like this.
You're a true gamer. And the passion shows. Dark Souls 1,2,3 has ruined many games now I'm a hard core Souls player. But enough about me. I respect your passion. I don't watch your channel because you're pretty. I watch your channel because of your work. Keep it up. Great content
I really love this game! But I don’t like how the voice acting in the dialogue cuts out for certain characters, or in general sounds like walking on grass will glitch and suddenly it’s quiet. The most annoying thing is the “workshop limit reached.” I’m unable to fully decorate my workshop the way I want because of this limit :/ I read somewhere that there is only a limit in console versions. I think it’s due to loading screens(?) They don’t want it to take longer then it already does I think.
I'm a huge fan of Stardew Valley. Thank you for the detailed review. Really enjoy your videos. Will definitely be picking up this game based on your review video!

Amazing! That means we have the same taste in games 😋😁❤️
So after watching your review i picked this game up.. I love these types of games when done right. This is on sale now for 75% off on switch and steam.. probably the other platforms as well. What a steal for under $10... Sooooo much content!
Awesome 😍 👍
Looks like I'm playing this next! You are absolutely amazing with these reviews. I loved Ni No Kuni and Rune Factory 4, both thanks to your reviews.
Thank you so much, and thanks for being a member 😚😚
Awesome review. Very helpful. Thanks.
On the switch it has a minute loading screen and it lags. Doesn’t feel smooth
I already buy it yesterday.. And play allday and this morning...yup Very long time screen loading and lagging so much.. And suddenly the game shutdown.. It happen 2 time this morning.. I don even save my play game... I have to play it again 😭
I bought this game right after watching your review. If a fellow Harvest Moon lover immensely enjoys this game, that's good enough reason for me.
Finally someone who mentioned harvest moon im starting to feel like we're a dying breed.
@@ircha same.
@Irchagaming have there been any updates to the game? Looking to buy for switch since on sale. Looking for updates to see if issues fixed, patches made, etc..
I have this on PC and can concur...it's AMAING if you're a life game fan!
True! 😁 👍
Can confirm, I'm on Steam and I have none of the problems you've run into. :(
I agree, there is so much to do for sure but it feels like the game is missing a lot of polish in some way. I am enjoying it but it can be a little tiresome with the bugs, how slow some parts of the game are too.
@@BringMeTheRadke game has been fixed, I think.
Thank you so much for the review, this is a must own for me. I might wait till it gets a few updates to run a little smoother
Once your in the game it runs absolutely beautifully smooth the only issue is that the startup load into the game takes quite a while but once your in I’ve had no issues performance wise
I agree with you 100%. It’s nice to see a game of this genre come in this generation
Please keep us up to date with games like this. I love your channel, and have gotten me into other genres I never played before like Skyrim and ❤️❤️Ty.
Does anybody knows if they are still updating this game to fix the bugs?
I really enjoy your channel I was given Harvest Moon on GB back in the 90s( very basic game but I loved building horse tracks and other designs with wood, grass and stone)I have loved the series since then and have played just about every one of them. I definitely vibe with you on games. I like all your videos you are very detailed and funny. I am just so glad I found your channel. Thanks for everything you do I always find myself smiling after watching.
How is the performance on switch now, after they just updated?
I’m here from the future. It’s bad. 😭 Played 20 minutes and I hate it.
I think I’m gonna pick this game up for my Xbox, it looks amazing! Nice review 😁
Thanks for your review I will get my copy soon for the switch 💙❤️
I’m very excited to start my world in this game.
I wish we get the sims for the switch too
I love your videos for Nintendo switch games/reviews! 💜
Thank you so much lovely ❤️❤️❤️😊
I have been addicted to this game since I got it on switch. A few minor issues here and there but so worth it
STardew Valley is impossible to play on my switch lite :(
Pc version is the best version 👍 switch version is still like this, long loading screens etc. And thank you 💕
@@ircha Thanks for your honest feedback, staying on PC then :) Hihi you're welcome :)
Old - 02:39
New - 03:47
PC - 00:33
First house exit to the world after initial load.
Old - 01:06
New - 00:41
PC - 00:09
It seems that with the new update they're loading more data into the world which extends the initial load time but shortens the load times in general once in the world.
@@TerraWare does the game still run ok once the switch has been to sleep?
Certain items are always needed for all builds/missions/requests
First it's brass pipes and plates... then steel... in the hundreds.
UPDATE 2020 : The Switch has not enough Power
I played it on PC since Beta and the GFX is so much better
I think the Switch cannot even handle "Ultra Grass" setting
But it is a very lovely Game but i recommend to play it on PC with Maximum GFX
thank you for the full review!
I know this is old, but thanks for the review!
It's super old but thank you for watching 😁 👍
Good review, finally made me decide it was the game I was gonna buy out of a list of 13 others :D
Great review as always Ircha. I’m seriously considering picking this up. We have similar tastes in games.
Yep definitely getting this. I was already going to get it, but you sold me even more thanks! Any advice on what console tho? I’m leaning towards the Switch, but I have a PS4 also.
I got it for both. I only use the Switch in hand held :)
Ircha Gaming Thanks for the advice!
@@ircha i ordered it, and need to pick it up from town :) looking forward to playing it.
Thanks for pointing out this great game!! Got it on both the Epic Store and about to start it on the Switch.
I got the game now and im kinda sad that it seems like people who got physical copies were screwed out of the house warming pack.
I want to buy this but im in real doubt. Is it like rune factory more or harvest moon? Im a big fan of harvestmoon games series, animal crossing, minecraft, and many more. I wonder if i will like this game
i’ll give a try then! Thankyou 💕
Nice, your portia character looks freaking awesome... a mini you hahah... I'm glad I checked out your review... I now have this game on pre-ordered it ;)
I can't wait to see your next review... have fun and keep up the awesome work!
I bought this over the weekend because of your review. I love it so much!!!
Review, very well done, gotta give u props
You just gained a subscriber and I am definitely going to check this game out when it hits. The instant you said Stardew Valley in 3D? That was it for me. Well done.
Got it for switch tho theres a little lag and long load time only once during load in it's a great game addicted
Nice review I was wondering what you can do in this game. You explained everything very well I think Iam going enjoy it for months.
I recently started Fantasy Life on 3ds, would this be similar? looks like a great casual game to play on my switch
Bought this game because of your review. Wonderful game! Just got to year 2!
@@majikalfae thankyou for reply 😄
I like your style in reviewing :) keep it up
Thank Ircha, your review makes me want this game.
Thanks for your review, going to get it today!
Honestly it's alot better and I haven't regretted buying it on my switch. Done about 12 hours now.
Glad I got this on sale when I did.
Great job with the review! I will check this game out.
Ircha Gaming Since I’ve played Stardew Valley so much (just finished a mobile version) I’ve played Harvest Moon since HM-1 on gameboy, and your recommendation! Looks like I know what game to play this weekend! Thanks!
Best review ever
I thought about getting this game...but I prefer cuter simulation games. My preference is the 3DS game "Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns"
I've been stoked for this too so it's great to here it's amazing. Hopefully PS4 version won't struggle to much and have better loading times. This will keep me going until we ever get a sequel to rune factory oceans or innocent life xx
@@ircha *dies of happies* ❤️
I was wondering if I should get it since it’s on sale for £6 right now. After your review I will definitely get it. Thank you so much
It’s so hard to chose what game I want. This or story of seasons
It’s a new one called my time at sand rock coming out in April
I played story of seasons poot and I would definitely recommend my time at portia instead 😅
Dumb question; was this recorded on the switch? Cause the previous videos I've seen made it look really crappy, but this actually looks surprisingly good! Also regarding the loading times; how long are we talking here? hehe. Thanks!
Recorded on PC
The updates and patches that were released for the PC version ages ago will finally be released on consoles next American summer. Thank God!
I'm glad you liked this game. It's always looked like a very cute little life sim game. Hopefully something I can look into later on as well. It's been a little while since the Switch has gotten a game like this.
woah looks really cool and has Fishing! I'm sold
How do you feel about the game now that it's been patched a couple times?
Looks really good, never even heard of this one. Thanks
You're a true gamer. And the passion shows. Dark Souls 1,2,3 has ruined many games now I'm a hard core Souls player. But enough about me. I respect your passion. I don't watch your channel because you're pretty. I watch your channel because of your work. Keep it up. Great content
Looks great! Nice review!
Love your video!! This is one of my favorite games :) haha the large trees by my workshop are ghost trees, they just won't load in xD
Does it still crash occasionally on the end of some days?
I really love this game! But I don’t like how the voice acting in the dialogue cuts out for certain characters, or in general sounds like walking on grass will glitch and suddenly it’s quiet. The most annoying thing is the “workshop limit reached.” I’m unable to fully decorate my workshop the way I want because of this limit :/ I read somewhere that there is only a limit in console versions. I think it’s due to loading screens(?) They don’t want it to take longer then it already does I think.
Pc version is a whole other experience, it's the better version. Voices and sounds are different from the console versions.
I love it so much yes! Relaxing
I'm a huge fan of Stardew Valley. Thank you for the detailed review. Really enjoy your videos. Will definitely be picking up this game based on your review video!
welcome to my time at bug town
How much can I buy it at seen I'm a fan of good old Harvest moon
Great review. Thank you.
