    Hey man, decent video. Can you confirm if you ever got it to 14mbps? The majority of masses say no, unless it’s on a PCie 4.0. Really thinking about upgrading, but it’s priced similarly to other “better” models.

    • @maz94protege

      JetFyre thanks for watching. Unfortunately this is the only card out of a list of XFX cards only limited to 12GBps. In my research there are almost no circumstances where we can even hit the full bandwidth of PCIe 3.0. The PCIe 4 is good for future proofing. Maybe it will push an extra few FPS with a full PCIe 4 system.
      I returned this card just due to the size. And went with a 2060Super. Less frames on COD Warzone, and the 2060 super is a much more expensive of a card ; the trade off was able to use NVENC over AMD encoder for streaming

    @ExSkyCyclePilot 4 года назад +1

    Even a 2080Ti can't saturate the PCIe 3.0 bus, which means you lose absolutely nothing by running this card is a 3.0 slot. And, did the BIOS update increase the speed of the GDDR6 from 12 to 14 Gb/s???

      Michael Navicky hey! I have been looking everywhere, but there’s not a lot of info on the RAW II. It seems like it only updates to 14mbps on PCie 4.0. Can you confirm or deny this?

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад

      The RAW II is not included in the list on XFXs website as a 14GB/s supported card. The THICC II is. Odd, but I don’t know.

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  3 года назад +1

      It’s a great card. This is one of the first 5600xt cards and does not have the 14GBps capability. It’s limited to 12. What does this mean? Nothing right now just tech jargon. Besides being a huge card, it ran great for the time I had it. After a few weeks I returned it for a 1660super since I stream and game on one pc. It will game at a good frame rate on Warzone. And as long as your not streaming. You’ll be fine.
      I sometimes wish I still had the card....for another pc build

    Do you know if you have to use the 8 pin to 2x6pin connector? I'm confused as to why it's included. I just have the 8 pin plugged in directly to my psu and it seems to be working fine but I don't know if I'm missing out on any power by not using the 8 pin to 2x6 pin.

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад +1

      Virid it’s suggested you use your PCIe connectors from the Power supply. The included power cables allows for a Molex connector to assist in powering the card if your PSU doesn’t have the correct connectors.

    What is the problem with AMD cards for streaming? I see everybody complaining about it, what's the matter?
    I do use an AMD card but i don't do streamings.

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  3 года назад +1

      Using AMD cards for encoding is the issue. Not as high quality as the NVIDIA NVENC (nvidia encoder). They have a dedicated chip to encode with , vs AMD encoding using GPU power and can reduce your in game FPS.
      Now you can still stream with full Team Red if you have a powerful enough CPU (3700x or stronger) you can use X264 encoding. This utilizes the CPU.
      I wish I still had this card to do more testing with

    How're the noise levels and performance?
    Do you know if with the new BIOS, does the memory run at 14Gbps?

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад +4

      Yes I did the newest performance update. The card is super quiet still. I’ve only updated the performance bios. Never flipped the switch to silent/ I’ll update that one tomorrow.
      Full 14Gbps is not capable with PCIe 3.0 rails. I truly believe it’s capable with a top tier mother board, throwing triple monitor 4K as t it, and you would probably saturate all the ram and push the card to its bandwidth limit.

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад +1

      I did see in Radeon settings today that the driver only said 12Gb/sec. I‘be had not issues. But I’m going to use the XFX Bios tool again and re-flash the new bios to see if the AMD software registers the new bios.

    Wondering if you could help me with a question? So I flashed updated the 5600 xt to the pro-tuned bios, but I want to try out the silent bios. Is it as easy just flipping the switch and it’s automatically performs with the silent bios? Or do I flip the switch and then have to flash again? Sorry if this is a noob question, never had to try this before. All this to fix a certain dev error that’s plagued the modern warfare community. Thanks!

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад

      Yes each flip of the switch is a different bios. You would need to flash the performance and quiet/eco modes separately

    would you suggest this graphics card for a $800 pc build?

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад +1

      Yeet dog this is an excellent card. I also have a 1660 super and this card outperformed gaming. Compared to the 1660 Super.
      I’d put this card or a 5700xt in any build where your budget is under $400 for a card. This 5600xt was only $269. Best bang for buck and only needs a single 8pin power connector. Super efficient at less than 130watts.
      What specs are you looking for your $800 build?

      FYI, I just upgraded my 1600AF (virtually the same as the 2600) to a Ryzen 5 3600 with this card and the upgrade is HUGE performance wise. That said, I only upgraded because an assumed surge fried my CPU (next purchase is a UPS) and I was going to wait a bit longer and leapfrog the 3600, but damn, it beats the heck out of the 2600.

    Just installed mine and I have two questions. First, I updated the card through the AMD Radeon Software where it shows my GPU, RAM and CPU stats. Did that install this bios update for me as well? And my second question is I haven't seen my fans spin yet, but I haven't gotten it over 50 degrees c yet. Is it true they won't spin until it gets higher? Thank you

    Low-key a few questions: how did you update the bios? Everytime I try to do it feels like it didn't do anything. What's the bios version? Also, where is the switch for performance and quiet? Maybe I'm blind but I can't find it

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  4 года назад +2

      Updated the BIOS via AMD's website. (its also on XFX's website) www.amd.com/en/support/gpu-firmware-download You will download the AMDvbFlash tool
      My current version is 113-150WO2ANAVIXL NAVI10 A1/A2 D18901 XLE 6GB 300e/750m --- this is visible in the amdvbflash tool.
      The BIOS switch is located on the rear of the GPU, next to the blue LED. its a small switch, just to the Left of the power connector.
      Hope this helps

      Ciro Perla it’s an excellent card. At under $300 it’s a steal. I actually returned it because it was a huge card. Took up 3 slots and I wanted to use another card in the slot below it. I went with a 2060 super, and I’ll say this, the 5600XT was more powerful, but Nvidia Encoder was better (I stream and game at the same time). Hands down its a good card

    which side of the bios switch is which?

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  3 года назад +1

      Look in your owners manual, the initial switch location is Normal, opposite is silent.
      This doesnt mean you HAVE to keep it like this, You basically have 2 bios settings, one can be normal and another can be performance or a test BIOS. Your just able to flash 2 different BIOS' to the card if you like.
      I re-flashed the silent/normal BIOS then put the updated Performance on the other side.

    • @maz94protege
      @maz94protege  3 года назад

      AMD GPU's do not have the same quality Encoder as you would get on an NVIDIA card (NVENC). However you can still stream with using this card if your CPU is powerful enough to do some X264 software encoding. 6 core intel or amd will be fine to stream 720/60 @6k bitrate with this card.
